Stayed Jun 29, 2024Beautiful location in the tall forest surrounding pristine Lake Tahoe. Townhome is in a good location. This unit could be better equipped and cleaner cabinets in the kitchen, few towels available, as well It needs a good scrubbing and some maintenance. For example, the baseboards in the bathroom were grimy, duct tape on the shower doors, frayed dirty carpet remnants, the deck needs to be power washed as it was thickly coated. Electric BBQ on deck was really grimey, I didn’t bother even trying it. The mama bear and her cub appeared to be regulars at the overflowing trash dumpster next to our parking spot. For the price it could have been better.

Stayed Jun 14, 2024Great central location in a well maintained complex. The unit is spacious with a nice layout and very clean. Recommend for guests to bring salt and pepper and any other everyday spices they use along with preferred cooking oils. In addition, recommend bringing foil, wrap and Kleenex as those items are lacking. The white bathroom towels appeared dirty so I washed them, but they are merely stained. One bath towel has what looks like a spot of makeup and a wash cloth had a faint gray large spot. Also, not the softest towels. Kitchen could use pot holders. There was only one dish towel out, and we were able to find an extra towel in the top shelf in the spice cabinet, which is an odd place to store a towel. Recommendi placing the extra dish towel in a drawer so it’s easy to find.

Stayed Jan 13, 2023After a long trip from the Bay Area, we got to our property at midnight, only to find that the key code provided didn't work. After waiting on a 15 minute hold we finally got a representative from the Grand Welcome property management company. He couldn't help us with the door, but said he had an emergency key lock box code for us. Turns out this didn't work either, and after about a half-an-hour of trying, he wasn't able to get ahold of any of the three emergency contacts that were listed. Imagine getting through a 10 hour car ride in a blizzard, only to have your 8 and 5 year old kids standing in a doorway at 1:30am unable to get into shelter, and being told that there was nothing else that they could do for you. Luckily the Tamarack Lodge answered their phone, and had a single room that the five of us could use until sunrise. The real kicker is that now Grand Welcome won't refund me for the entire fee for the night! They are claiming that the nightly fee that I can be reimbursed for is only about 60% of what I paid! So basically, their lock system failed, their backup lock failed, their emergency contact system failed, they left us out in the cold to fend for ourselves with no solutions for us, and I'm stuck paying $160 to have that experience. What a joke. The place was okay, a little beat up, old furniture, lean on the essentials like zip locks, foil, and paper towels, along with some interesting DIY construction choices, but fine enough for playing with our kids in the snow. However, I wouldn't stay here or anywhere that Grand Welcome management company runs ever again. Don't trust them, they won't take care of you.

Stayed Jan 28, 2022Great location for Tahoe skiing weekend, close to Palisades and Northstar. Property is spacious and very comfortable, and check in process and communication with the property manager was all pretty easy. The only knock I have was that the VRBO listing advertised a hot tub, but there is not one in the community. If a hot tub isn't your jam, then this property is great.

Stayed Jul 11, 2021The check-in process was very easy and the management company was very responsive to our inquiries. The location to the pool and tennis courts couldn't be beat. The walk to the beach was doable (20 min?), although it felt a bit long on the trek back. The property and the condo itself felt very spacious for our family of 4. Beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean.

Stayed Jun 24, 2021Had a great stay at this condo. Bonus loft was great for the kids..18 year olds, and gave everyone space. The pool was very nice and a great location to walk to the beach. The kitchen stocked aboe expectation and giant TV was a plus for winding down at night after a long day.

Stayed Jun 12, 2021My friends and I enjoyed our stay here! We love the open kitchen and high ceiling of the living room. I was able to contact immediately with the property owner when I had an issue. It is close to the lake and restaurants are just minutes away. The only downside is that there is no curtain in the living room, which made us feel a lack of security at night.
