Location excellent. Views great. Walk to beach, shops, restaurants easily. Waikaloa and Kolea are amazing. Keeps me coming back over and over again.

We stayed here in March 2026 and were super happy! The unit is in a great location and has amazing views. The unit was just as described, was perfectly clean, and had everything that we needed. Check in and stay instructions were great. It's really hard to beat the Kolea condos for location, views, and amenities.

The penthouse was beautiful, so well appointed in both rooms were spacious with en suite bathrooms. We loved how close it was to everything… A few steps to the pool, to the beach and to several great restaurants, the condo had all the things that you needed from chairs and towels for the beach to great kitchen appliances and amenities. You’re very grateful to stay in such a beautiful home.

Property is very well kept. Unit was clean and peaceful. It was packed full of furniture and would perhaps feel roomier with a bit less especially on the lanai. The location was perfect for us. Easy drive to beaches and walk to shops and restaurants. The pool and exercise area were beautiful and the staff there very nice and friendly. The only negative thing I can say is that we couldn’t get in the gate when we checked in either with the code or app, we tailgated in and the lock box to get in the unit worked perfectly. We never were able to get the app to work even with two different staff helping us, however, the fob in the unit worked great and we had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We stayed here with our 2 teenage boys this February. The location is absolutely wonderful and very relaxing. The condo is exactly as described and extremely comfortable from the beds, couch to the lanai chairs. More than enough space for everyone to spread out. Lovely view from the lanai as well. Easy walk to A-bay, great for a day at the beach with a stunning sunset. I appreciated the sidewalks and bike lanes on the main road for my runs in the morning. Also a short walk (7-10 minutes to the stores king and queens market) I would highly recommend this rental if you are looking for a low key relaxing location on the Big Island.

The unit is very clean. The location is truly outstanding. It’s walking distance to the beach, walking distance to multiple restaurants and supermarkets. Everything you need for a great vacation is just few minutes away. The area was very quiet which was important to us. Wendee was also prompt in every communication. We had great time!

This was our third time staying at the Kolea Resort. Wendee was fantastic and very responsive to all our questions and needs! The unit itself was very clean and well appointed. Would definitely book this unit again!! Mahalo 🌺

Our stay was very nice. I did try to communicate with Wendee on two occasions and only heard back on a timely basis on the first call. I realize that I called on the weekend which is an inconvenience. The second call also wasn't really addressed. The unit seems to have an additional air conditioning feature in the master that is on regardless of the main unit and was relatively noisy at night. I wanted to see if there was a way to turn that down or off while the main air conditioning was also off. Otherwise the stay was very nice and we tried to keep and leave the unit in a clean fashion.
