Kauai Beach Resort, Oceanview Room, Restaurants on Site, 4 Resort Pools jacuzzi

Room was clean. Appreciated the availability of the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler that were in the room, definitely a plus! We were there for 5 nights with only two towels per person. Ended up buying beach towels and using the supplied beach towels to shower with. You also do not have access to the resort pool towels. This unit is quite a hike from the parking so be prepared to walk a lot. Not a big deal for us but for some it might be a problem. Not really a swimmable beach at the resort. Resort is a bit dated. Pool furniture could be updated. Pool bar closed early at 6pm. Property is close to the airport and this unit faces the airport so you get a lot of air traffic noise.

The pricing on this property was deceptive. When compared to other resorts in this area, it is one of the highest rated resorts for the least amount of cost. They do not mention on Expedia that cost for parking is extra, like $256 for the week (over $36 per day). Although plenty of parking spaces were available during our stay. Expedia also listed in room microwave. The only microwave available is located at the 5th floor lobby in the main Building 2. It is quite a hike from Building 4.

Property was exactly what is posted in pictures. Beautiful property. Plenty of room around the pools. Room was spacious and clean. The only downfall is the distance you have to walk with your luggage from the front desk to your room outside. It was raining off and on when we left but we got lucky when we took the luggage.

Comfortable and quiet but a long walk from the lobby (not too bad tho). Close to the beach. Listing details are accurate. Excellent communication from host. Starbucks in the lobby () and a sundry a souvenir shop (). View is to die for and really what you’re paying for. Driftwood Bar and Grill is poolside. Drinks are nice, food is ok — good choices for kids. Parking is 40/day and you will need a rental car unless you plan to stay at property the whole time. 40 fee includes valet service but self-parking lot is close to the entrance if you’re fed up with tipping. All staff we met was very friendly.

Great location and amenities on site. Would stay again at this location.

Room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing on the lanai.

I wish I could give this 5 stars! It’s no fault of the host per se, maybe a clearer explanation of the current state of the resort may have helped.

Nice, clean property in a great location with beach access. The host was very polite and friendly, answered our call promptly, and allowed us to check in early since the unit was available. The room was spotless and well furnished with everything one might need.

The location is centrally located and our room had a phenomenal view!

The view was amazing! Close to the airport, dining and shopping! Few Cons the mattress and pillows were not the best. The HVAC makes a whining noise which was keeping us up at night, and having to walk your trash four buildings over isn’t ideal either. The resort was nice but disappointed that the outside bar closes super early. Restaurant at the resort was yummy, and the live music was very enjoyable. Would recommend host invest in some nicer pillows and maybe a mattress topper for a more comfortable sleep.

This was an excellent value for the location and amenities available. The room was perfect for a couple, and afforded spectacular views from the unit’s balcony. An unexpected plus was the quality of the on-site restaurant. I highly recommend this listing for a stay on Kauai.

The air condition was very loud and rattled a metal plate. You will need the map to find your room. Nice grass areas.

Great view

The resort is in a great location, the room is also a great location, 100 feet from the beach or pools, up a flight of stairs. Resort has 1 restaurant with great food and a Starbucks in lobby was also great. Lots of pool space and umbrellas if needed. Room provided 2 beach chairs, umbrella and very small cooler for going to beaches which were awesome. Owners were super responsive and helpful. Room has plenty of space with lounge chair and table/chairs etc. AC was loud-owners were going to check it. Room gets sandy even though we always took shoes off at the door so next time I would pay extra for room cleaning and towel change (5days) Coffee maker in room was the super tiny one, not practical, but Starbucks was great. The laundry room and gym was closed due to construction, not sure how long it will be closed. Staff at resort were all super nice.

Was a beautiful resort, the pools were nice, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The main negatives were the 40/day parking, and the unexpected 250 hold on my credit card at checkin. Wish I would have known about that upfront.

Definitely enjoyed our time here. It was so nice to see and hear the ocean and feel the nice breeze. We feel so blessed and so grateful that we can just go downstairs to see the sunrise every morning in less than one minute. We hope this room will be available again for us in the future. Thank you :)

Clean, beach view, communication was great!

This place was once a star on Kauai. The restaurants food was fantastic. The overall wear and tear of the resort is evident. Rust and peeling paint is everywhere. Room was clean and nice despite the appearance of the resort.

The location and amenities at this property were great. The proximity to the beach is sublime! There were a couple issues with the room, but the property manager was very responsive to the issues. The photos in the listing are accurate.

The accommodations were fine. It’s a very boring property. There’s not much on site. I was disappointed by the ambience. There was no music, no activities, and the resort was pretty empty The first two days we were there. Location was close to the airport, which was convenient, but I wasn’t excited about it. There was a view of the ocean from the balcony which was nice. The staff was very friendly and we appreciated the water dispenser.

Wonderful stay at the Kauai Beach Resort. Great pools! Need more lounge chairs around the pools for your guests. The best breakfast sandwich ever from Naupaka Terrace Restaurant on the property! All in all, great stay for our family to celebrate multiple birthdays.

No complaints...will definitely stay here again!

Very convenient from the airport, centrally located on the east coast so you can reach many places going either north or south. You do need to figure on renting a car, the negative point for the resort is they charge too much for daily parking at 40/day. The facility is very nice with a choice of 4 pools, 2 jacuzzi's and good restaurants and lounge. The beach is nice for walking long morning walks but not for swimming. Crystals unit is very clean and the views of the ocean are great. She was very helpful and would recommend the unit.

The property is beautiful and relaxing. The staff courteous, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, well maintained and the balcony offered an amazing view of the ocean. We loved the convenience of the location when exploring the island.

It was the perfect place for a week in the sun! The location of the condo is perfect... great view of the ocean and a big, open field... quiet... just pleasant. Everything was clean... comfortable bed... and nice air conditioning.Plus - being in the Outrigger Kauai resort, the pool, hot tub, exercise room, breakfast, bar, etc etc were just most enjoyable - and not crowded at all.Just lovely all the way around...

Resort was great. Very happy with the bedding as well! I usually cringe sleeping in hotel beds, but this room was wonderful.

The property was just as described. Like many rentals on the island, it could have used a deep clean (dust, mold, dirty door frames) but overall was very well kept and the linens provided were great. Bed was comfortable and coffee maker fridge was great to have. As stated by the manager, you will need to bring your own coffee filters and supplies. Due to the hard surfaces and airy vibe, you will hear your neighbors and hallway traffic. The overall resort was a bit dated. Hot tub and water dispensers were out of order, but the staff was very friendly. Lunch at the pool bar was good, as were the drinks. We did not eat at any of the other onsite restaurants. The location is great, very close to markets, beaches, food options, etc. making it very convenient and home base on the island. The only downside is the parking fee, as stated in the details. 40 is a bit steep and the parking garage is not close to the main buildings. Lots of maintenance was going on during our stay which increased the noise levels inside and out. Overall a great stay and cozy spot.

We chose this Area because of its location on the island. We chose this unit because of its spectacular views. It did not disappoint! Looking off the balcony, you can sit and watch the waves and the birds enjoy the open green space. Rental managers were great with communication. We had a late evening flight and the managers were able to reschedule cleaning to get us some extra time in the room before we had to pack up and leave the comfort of the resort and room.
