Kahala 414 – Ground-Floor Poipu Retreat

We had THE BEST STAY and left a piece of our heart in Kauai! From our first inquiry, Jed and Lisa were responsive and helpful. We received a house guide with area recommendations several days prior to our trip, which was very beneficial for preplanning. Upon arrival, our grand girl was greeted with a Happy Birthday gift basket, which was so sweet, along with local snacks and coffee to make our first evening and morning extra special. The home is spotless. The decor has a warm, inviting tropical feel without feeling cluttered. Everything we needed was provided. The kitchen is the best equipped kitchen of all the rentals we have stayed at. They provided beach towels along with a neatly organized beach closet with books, chairs, board, sand toys, and umbrella. The lanai was a perfect spot to begin and end our days with table, chairs, and umbrella. The complex's landscaping and pools are well kept with beautiful plants and birds. The beds were very comfy. We greatly appreciated the available travel crib for our infant grand girl. The master bedroom has AC that very effectively cools the room with some air overflowing to the hallway. The other rooms have crosswind windows and oscillating fans. We were very comfortable, but it is important to note that this is not a full HVAC home, which is clear in the description. It's an easy walk to Poipu Beach (through the back lawn) and close to great restaurants and shopping. We dream of returning ASAP!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This ground unit was absolutely perfect. Two bed Two bath were verry nice. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, toaster oven, blender, toaster, rice cooker and other items we did not even get to use. Fridge does have a great ice maker which is pretty nice in HI to keep cold drinks and pack in a cooler, which condo did have two! Plenty of beach chairs and towels. super quiet since the condo sits in sort of a corner but has very easy access to the pool and walking paths and Grills to cook a nice local beef ribeye! My family and I stayed for 1 week, wish it would have been two since we were so comfortable there. We have been to Kauai about 10 times, and this was one of the nicest well-maintained units we have ever stayed at. Perfect location!

Wonderful. The vacation rental had everything we needed. It was very homey, clean, and stocked with everything you need to have an amazing Hawaiian vacation!

Garden unit and we chose it because it was ground level and close to two others we rented for the larger group. Excellent unit, well appointed, nicely decorated, easy access, clear host directions. Thanks, also, for the complete beach closet!! It is most appreciated to have chairs, mats, cooler already available.

Great location n perfect for 3-day stay.Wish we would have remembered to use Hot tube/pool n read amenities list of grill as would have cooked out one of days. Our fault, but definitely would stay again I listed a few repair items There is one beach chair that needs a rivot or screw to drink/phone chair-arm holder.Pillows on beach chairs could use cleaningWi-Fi was in/out even secured WifiKitchen Faucet very loose.

We enjoyed staying at this property in Kaloa. The location was great, a short walk to Poipu on a beautiful path, and close enough to everything we needed. The only problem was the key pad door lock, it did not work all the time, and that was a bit of a nuisance.

The condo was perfect for our needs. Walking distance to Poipu Beach on beautiful concrete paths for all to enjoy. No air conditioner was fine as we left all windows open for the cross breeze in November. Will definitely stay here again.

The Condo was perfect for the 2 of us. It was clean and very comfortable. It was well stocked for going to the beach and staying in and cooking. The grounds were beautiful.

Hi we loved it thank you! It was perfect for our stay with our son who had his own room and bath Loved the quiet and the immediate acces to the outdoor area. Really appreciated how beautifully equipped the kitchen was. Just two things. Blue cloth placemats need dry cleaning they were stained ( we didn’t use) but there were others so ok; and living room rug could use cleaning as well. Other than that all good..we’ll definitely come back. Best Don

If you want to get away from the crowds of Hawaii and enjoy the sun and laidback lifestyle of Kauai this is a perfect location. Well kept condo, easy access to hwy and beach.

Great location for the pool and beach. Kids had a grassy area to play right off deck. Table & chairs on deck so you can eat outside. Condo was well stocked with the essentials. Would recommend for a family stay.

The location of the property is perfect, as you're just a few steps from Poipu beach, coffee shops, a shopping center, Puka Dog, a bunch of restaurants (should you decided not to use the well-stocked kitchen) and a few other highly recommended beaches (Brennecke's Beach and Kiahuna Beach.). You can rent bikes on property too, (Pedego Bikes) and ride around the beautiful area (even to Spouting Horn) or rent a court and play tennis or pickle ball. There are so many activities, all within a 20-25 minute drive. If you're debating between Princeville and Poipu, and have an active family, hands down...Poipu! The bonus: You will be just minutes from Poipu beach, where you can see giant turtles breached on the beach at dusk.The only negative was the hot tub. One night the water did not heat up and the majority of the nights, the water jets/bubbles did not work. PS. The Costco sushi is the real deal if you're looking for a quick and easy dinner on your lenai!
