Join Us at Our Bahama Beach Lodge - 2nd story private duplex

Our family highly recommends this place to spend vacation at South Padre Island. We were here in June and spent almost two weeks with four kids. Everyone really enjoyed the location, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. AC works perfectly. The kitchen is fully equipped. Chas is very friendly and helpful. He answered all our questions in details. But there are only a couple of minor issues you have to take a count. The grill is almost at its end of life and the electric stovetop has some intermittent problems with heating elements. And that's it. Everything else was perfect. We will definitely go back to the lodge in future.

The host was great and checked on our stay periodically. I asked for a couple of extra things and they immediately provided them. It was awesome!

Our stay was enjoyable. This is one of the best places we have stayed at. The property was very clean and welcoming. In fact, we spent more time at the property resting as a family and enjoying each others presence than exploring the island.The property was pet friendly. The garden area was a good place to sit and relax with our small dogs.

I enjoyed my stay here. Although I never received the check in information or house rules, the property was clean and balcony was nice. One of the bathrooms had a slow shower drain and they could use more dish towels in the kitchen for those who like to cook. Overall, I’d come back if I was in SPI again.

The Bahama Beach Lodge had everything we needed and wanted, with plenty of space for everyone in our large family to feel comfortable, including our cat! The beds and sofas were comfortable, the spaces were clean, and we liked the large balcony with all the greenery around. With its close proximity to everything, including the public beach access points, we will certainly consider a stay here again if we return to SPI!

Kitchen fully equipped for cooking, quiet area, so close to the beach, Mr Chas and family amazing. I loved that it was so comfortable and clean, they have everything you need for your vacation. When we come back to the Island this is the place to stay. We came in October price is very reasonable.

Nice quiet place next to the bay, but near some great bars, restaurants and family friendly places! My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Bahama Beach Lodge! They are super pet friendly, very accommodating and great communication from the host!

They were absolutely amazing. The nicest hosts I’ve ever had the privilege of staying with. Made sure we were nice and comfortable, or if we needed anything. One of our dogs has major anxiety and started howling for a bit and they were so kind and patient with him. Everyone had a blast! Hopefully we come again soon.

This was our first time visiting South Padre Island. We had an amazing time and the host supplied extras for the beach. The property was clean and well taken care of and we felt at home with 5 people and 3 dogs.

We really enjoyed the second floor space with this amazing terrace. Our host was most gracious. The location was central and close to the supermarket and restaurants. When we got back to SPI, we will check and see if this property is available. Thank you!

This is a fantastic place for families and a fun time. We visited from Colorado but are Texas transplants. We would definitely rent this unit again. My family really loved our time in SPI. Thank you to the host. We will be back.

We were a large crew with 4 kids and had a great stay. We had a private entrance and access to the entire upstairs and back yard. A spacious balcony and living area with a well stocked kitchen. The host was very easy to contact and quick to respond. Very accommodating :) Thank you for helping make our trip to South Padre one to remember!

Chas and his family are good people. Was a little nervous about having them downstairs from us especially with a mouthy beagle and an autistic son that screams at times. He constantly assured us that it was no problem. I even saw him and hisnfamily a few times in passing and they were nothing but polite. Now for the review. The check in and check out was easy and painless. Communication with Chas was awesome. He was fast to reply and always upbeat. The location was great. Just far enough away from everything, but close enough at the same time. Cleanliness was a bit of an issue. There multiple items were dirt upon arrival. The toaster oven in the kitchen, coffee maker, dirt and dog hair under the furniture, couch cushions, etc. There was also cockroaches that were seen scampering around outside. I understamd they they take care of this themselves, and it shows, but it was still a great place to stay and would stay again if we come down to SPI. Thanks Chas and family for a great visit.
