Island Surf Resort, breathtaking ocean view, in the heart of the action

My main reason for traveling to Kihei was to observe the humpback whale migration and the ocean view from this unit was exceptional!!! There were days that I watched six separate whale groups in the ocean from the lanai! The unit was the perfect size for 2 travelers, very clean, and very easy to get around Kihei without a rental car. The owner was very easy to reach and responsive. I reached out via VRBO message early in our stay just to let her know the toaster wasn't working and that same day a brand new toaster was at our door. Excellent rental in all ways and I can't wait to return next whale season!

We really enjoyed our stay. Location was very handy. The condo felt safe and family friendly. We had all the things we needed.

Great little place. Very comfortable, strong quiet a/c, comfortable bed, well stocked. Everything as described. Great location, so much right there in walking distance. South Maui Gardens out the back door is the spot.

Perfect location to enjoy south Maui beaches. Dining is nearby, easily accessible, easy parking and amazing sunsets from the balcony.

Linda’s condo was in such a perfect location. Nice view of the water, quick access to all the best beaches in Kihei and walkable to places to eat and drink. There were some surprises during our stay such as construction and building maintenance which I wish we were informed about ahead of time. But all things considered it was still a great stay!

This property is as pictured. The condo is clean and location is perfect. It’s close (walking distance) to the beach, grocery store, and restaurants, coffee shops. There’s a surfing lesson place and lots of food trucks nearby. It was perfect for a family of 4. I would definitely rent from Linda again.

First time visiting Hawaii and was not disappointed with the location. There's a lot of construction going on but ease to beach locations was perfect. I will say that I had to wash all silverware, a few of the dishes and the frying pans prior to use. Also, need to take care of the curtains in the bedroom as the hall lights basically keep the bedroom bright throughout the night. Nothing that will keep us from returning.

If you are looking for a grand resort in Waimea, this is not it. But if you want clean, comfortable, well stocked, good location with ocean views…THIS IS THE PLACE. Stayed 8 nights first week of February. Charming older building in the heart of Kihei. Perfect size for couples. Spent every morning having coffee/breakfast on the lanai watching the whales jump and play. Food trucks and several restaurants a short walk away (Happy Belly was a favorite). Grocery store 10 min walk. There is a community gardens to the north of the building and most nights there would be a show or concert. Can open the door to the unit and listen quite well or attend the gardens for a small fee. Linda was very easy to communicate with. Thank you Linda for allowing us to use your condo. Hope to stay again someday.
