I try to always honor the host's wishes. In this case, host asked us to remove our shoes. I don't mind walking around in my socks, often do just that at home. The problem is that there are no non-slip strips on these stairs. The night I arrived, I fell going down and injured my back, my elbow and broke 2 toes on my right foot. It seriously diminished my film festival, as I usually walk about 2-3 miles a day between venues. Needless to say, I, and all my suitemates kept our shoes on for the rest of the stay. I don't mean to be presumptuous, but installing non-slip strips (I would do several per stair) would make for a safer environment and a better stay. Also, the master and bunkroom are on an alley with the backs of 2 restaurants, and every morning at 7 am, they would empty all the recycling bottles etc., from the night before that would wake the dead. Even with windows shut, really loud. Not sure there's anything you can do about that, and if you are an early riser, doesn't matter. Other than that we liked the condo. It is a great location, was clean and organized with a big table that fit all of our group. Also loved having a bathroom for each bedroom and a couple nice decks. Wished for a functioning icemaker, as the icetrays were a bit of a pain. None of us really liked the climate control mattresses, although that might be nice in the winter. In all fairness, none of us took the time to read the instructions.Just wanted to give you an honest assessment.

Comfortable except for the lack of air conditioning in July. Many fans provided and it cooled off nicely at night. Plenty of parking. Close to all amenities. Enjoyed our stay! Cyndee

This condo is truly in a perfect location. We walked just about to everything and it worked very well for us. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The host is professional, responsive and pleasant. The description of the condo is accurate; the only piece of information I would add is that, as with many mountain homes, there is a full flight of steps (somewhat steep) to access the unit, as well as inside (also somewhat steep), between bedrooms and main living floors. Would definitely recommend and rent again

The property exceeded our expectations. We took our 3 adults kids with their husbands/wives so there was 8 of us and plenty of room. The beds were SO comfortable and the rooms were all downstairs. Upstairs was lovely and provided everything we needed to play games, cook and relax. The views were beautiful and loved the balconies. You can’t beat the location. First class all the way!

The property is a 3-5 minute walk from anywhere in town. So close to restaurants, shops, the Park, and the Gondola to Telluride Mountain Village that my car stayed in the garage for several days at a time. The apartment is first class and comes outfitted with anything you could need.

We were there for our niece's wedding. We gave a luncheon in Mountain Village and bought our supplies in Telluride and the gondola took us there - maybe 4 blocks of walking. There was a meet and greet party and the reception in Telluride. We walked 2 blocks for each event. The wedding was at St Sophia overlook, a 3 block walk to hop on the gondola. We did have to look at the back alley garbage from a restaurant across the street which ended up having the most reasonable prices in town and great service, so that is forgiven - we ate there most of the time. It was a perfect spot to stay.

The Saddle Pad was the perfect place for our family to call home while enjoying beautiful Telluride in summertime. We usually stay in Mountain Village for trips during ski season, we love the town location for all the dining & activities this time around. Thanks for all the thoughtful touches which make the Saddle Pad a really outstanding place.
