We liked the condo. Historical building, great location. Hosts were very responsive, they could simplify directions to condo to include Commons map. The heating was a little loud when it went on.

Wonderful and comfortable. I stay here as it is close to a dear friend who lives in the attached Cordia Sr Living. It’s perfect. We can walk to one another and dine and shop all in the Grand Traverse Commons. The grounds are safe and great for walking albeit maybe not during a January storm. Bed was very comfortable. Great water pressure in shower. Good coffee. Comfortable seating and lots of light and warmth. No other apartment looks directly into this unit. I will be back.

Overall we had a great time! The location is excellent and our host Carrie responded quickly and was super easy to communicate with. We loved the history of the building including the restaurants and shopping on-site. We would definitely recommend this experience. The only reason I gave accuracy of description a 4 is that we assumed the patio was attached to the unit. Also, dining table is really a dining bar which we had to use to store our food as it's a very small kitchenette. The couches are quite low so eating a meal in the living room isn't really comfortable. Taking a tour of the buildings and grounds is highly recommended... but, beware of the last stop as you enter the steam tunnel. The brick paved ground is not flat, a painful ankle sprain was the result of that lesson. Otherwise, our guide Joe was very knowledgeable and we left with a great appreciation of the history of this place.

This listing was a great spot to be! We used Traverse City as our home base then took day trips to the Sleeping Bear Dunes, Charlevoix, Petosky, Mackinac Island, and Leland. We enjoyed brunch at Red Spire, bagel bombs at the Pleasanton Bakery, coffee at Higher Grounds & Cuppa Joe. Although we didn't dine during lunch or dinner at the Village, I'm sure it would've been spectacular!

We enjoyed our stay. Pros: It was very clean and nicely decorated. Cons: very low water pressure in shower and we had to wash and dry our own dishes. No dishwasher. No kitchen towel. The mattress was also very hard, which is great if you like that

Condo is very nice and comfortable! Check-in is seamless. Many extra amenities you don’t usually see. Pullman kitchen stocked fairly well but eating area seats not very comfortable and the creamers for the coffee were bad and not usable. The area is beautiful but very crowded and parking is almost nonexistent during the day. Once the shops close it is a bit better. Pricy but mostly very enjoyable!

We stayed in Carrie’s beautiful condo for 4 nights and were ultra-pleased with our choice. The unit is very comfortable, decorated with stylish taste yet homey. The building is secure and the location in the former State hospital is quite unique. It was super convenient having the stores and restaurants just downstairs in the Commons, as well as cool places on the outskirts surrounding the buildings, as well as walking trails and a lovely botanic garden. Check-in was simple and Carrie clearly communicated everything we needed to know for our stay. Highly recommend both of the Italian restaurants, the brunch place (Red Spire), Left Foot Charley for a wine flight (& yummy snacks to go with it!) Thank you Carrie for making our time in TC so very pleasant! I would highly recommend booking this place!

Our trip didn’t quite go as planned. The day after we arrived we both became ill and tested positive for Covid. So we spent our trip hunkered down on the very comfy couch or in the equally comfy bed! We missed the Cherry Festival and the parade, and all that Traverse City has to offer. So we shall return!
