Stayed Jan 9, 2026Had the most lovely stay at Villa Paz last week. Our group of 4 enjoyed lounging on the beach, sunsets and Monkey Lala’s at Las Rocas, the quick and walkable access to West Bay Beach and water taxis to West End.If you’re looking for a safe and perfectly located rental for your Roatan vacation that’s not quite right on the main drag, Villa Paz is definitely it! Don’t forget to say hi to the macaws and try the banana bread and empanadas available on the beach in the morning!

Stayed Feb 14, 2025We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful oceanfront home. The location was perfect for our group and just a short walk to the best snorkeling in West Bay. Also not too far to walk to West End. The pool was a great place to cool off and watch the sunset. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Jan 1, 2025Nice second story condo, walk right onto the very narrow beach. Place was clean, but wow was it dated. Kitchen remodeled, but no dishwasher, had to rewash several items that were put away in the cabinets. Master bath was dark almost impossible to see yourself in mirror, bed was very creaky. Overall nice stay but just a very dated unit.

Stayed Jul 24, 2024I cannot hype this place enough. Karla made everything about this experience so easy. From scheduling transportation to pick us up from the airport, to working with us with due to flight changes and adjusting times, she was the epitome of customer service. If you haven’t visited the island before, power outages are fairly common. When the power went out, I notified Karla and she quickly had someone over to get the generator going. Guest services is definitely their top priority. If you’re looking for a Beautiful place to stay while visiting Roatan, I highly recommend you check them out!

Stayed Feb 6, 2022First the positives! Villa Paz is in a great location and has great views. You have access to good restaurants and activity on West Bay beach but can also stay out of the kayos on cruise ship days. It is spacious, well laid out, and has beautiful large decks. It is also easy to catch water taxis to West End from this location. The best part is the kitchen which is very large and has been beautifully renovated! The fridge and stove are top-notch and the ice maker on the fridge is a bonus! The bar-b-que on the deck just outside the kitchen made it easy to use as well. The beds were very comfortable (but the linens and pillows are very old, tattered and stained). The beach and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained by a wonderful caretaker. Julio lives on site and is quick to bring water or take care of whatever he can for you. The water is beautiful in Roatan. The snorkeling and diving are amazing! Karla, the host, is very pleasant to deal with and is prompt in responding to messages. Now the negatives. The air conditioner in one bedroom was not working when we arrived, and it took two weeks to get it fixed. The water pressure is up and down all day. There were times when it would only drip (not much fun when you’re in the shower). We learned to take turns showering and not have any other water running while someone was in the shower. The bathrooms are very dated and in need of attention. There is rust coming through the enamel in the tubs and the faucets are badly corroded. We ran out of propane for the stove and there was not a back-up on hand. Lucky for us we weren’t in the middle of cooking dinner! The dishwasher didn’t work well and had a terrible smell, so we didn’t use it. The furniture on the decks had cushions that were soaked and not drying because of the covers, so we finally removed them and discovered they were quite moldy too. Thankfully, we found cushions in one of the bedrooms that worked well on the outdoor furniture. Summary. We received a considerable discount because we booked almost a year in advance, and we stayed for 4 weeks. I would have been very disappointed if we paid full price. I recommend the host have all the air conditioners and appliances checked before clients arrive each time to ensure they are in good working order. The island went through a very difficult couple years with covid and perhaps it’s just the hick-ups of getting things rolling again.
