Stayed May 31, 2024I recently stayed in a 3rd floor walk-up in Savannah, GA, and had a very pleasant experience. The location was fantastic, being so close to Forsyth Park, with a grocery store and a charming little coffee shop within walking distance. The unit itself was very nice, featuring top-notch appliances and a convenient little washer and dryer. The bathroom was a bit outdated, and while the art was interesting, a few pieces of furniture had been rearranged since the photos were taken. However, everything was still largely well-represented in the pictures. One thing to note is that there are signs everywhere about keeping the noise down and removing shoes to avoid disturbing the downstairs neighbor. It seems they might have had issues with loud tenants before, but we didn't encounter any noise problems or complaints during our stay. Overall, I would give this place a 4/5.

Stayed Oct 13, 2023Really enjoyed this property, only a block to the park, bakery and corner natural foods store. We like to walk a lot so used our legs to get into town and also to the Starland Yard area. Rooftop deck is great, could use a paint job and new plants, looks shabby compared to the photos. But the rest of the flat looks great.

Stayed Jul 15, 2023The Park Avenue Treehouse was the perfect size for the two of us and our little 13 lbs dog - Sophie. The apartment was well maintained featuring a modern kitchen with new appliances, a spacious living room area with a comfy couch and a table perfectly positioned to view the two windows overlooking Barnard St and Park Ave. The bathroom was clean and the bedroom in good order with a nice size bed. The balcony was a little disappointing as it needed to be refreshed, the pictures on the website did not match what we saw. Unfortunately, there were dead or dying plants. When we were there, the temperature outside was pretty hot with a heat index of 100 degrees. The AC unit kept the unit cool per what we saw on the thermostat but it did not seem to pull out the humidity which made it uncomfortable. Both the Management company and Owner were aware. Luckily there was a large fan in the closet which we used in the living room and in the bedroom when we slept. Parking was not an issue, we were able to secure parking very close to the apartment whenever we returned from our excursions. The location of the apartment made it convenient to walk to coffee shops, restaurants or to a DOT pick-up location to take the local free transportation. All in all, we would recommend this location for couples with a dog and / or perhaps a small child. Staying in this apartment brought you very close to the history of Savannah.

Stayed Oct 6, 2022The description and pictures are deceiving. We chose this place for the deck, pool, and artistic vibe. Most of the plants on the deck had died, furniture was different, and it needed to be cleaned. The pool is 35 minutes away and not resort style at all. It is small and is to be used by all the Southern Bell Vacation Rentals, so during a busy time you will not be able to use it. The interior was nice, but the seating is not real comfortable. It says that it sleeps four, but truly only for two, unless you want to sleep on a couch that doesn’t fold out or a fold up single mat. The bedroom could use a dresser. The wall decor had changed to now include New York Times headlines on abortion, protesting/riots/police, and Covid. I’m all for art expression, but some of the topics may not be okay with some guests. It is located very close to Forsyth Park, and we were able to walk downtown pretty easily. We felt fairly comfortable in the neighborhood once we got a feel for our surroundings. I would not advise walking a few blocks west, especially at night.

Stayed Oct 1, 2022Stayed here for a long weekend while visiting our son at SCAD and loved it here. Wonderful apartment for 2 in a fairly quiet neighborhood (though be aware you can hear road traffic at night). The apartment is a 3rd floor walk-up, so keep this in mind if you have heavy bags. The place is spacious and well outfitted, and we loved the big windows and spacious feel, the artwork, and outdoor deck as a place to eat at night. It is one block from Forsyth Park, and there are some fun nearby coffeeshops - it is a bit of a walk if you want to be down by the Riverfront, but we liked being in a less busy neighborhood. Plenty of parking. It was nice to have a car to drive out to Tybee for an afternoon and sit on the beach (didn't use the pool). Only suggestion - the bathtub needs a slip mat - not really big enough to take a bath, and drains slowly so gets slippery easily! Would love to stay here again next time we come!

Stayed Feb 17, 2022Perfect apartment for a couple or mother/daughter. My daughter and I stayed here for a long weekend while visiting SCAD. The apartment is very comfortable for 2 people. It is a 3rd floor walk up- so be prepared to carry your luggage up 3 flights. We felt very safe and secure on the top floor and really enjoyed the vantage point. Apartment was very clean with generous towels/linens which I appreciated. A few items to note, the only coffee pot is a traditional drip style, so if you are someone who needs your cup of coffee in the morning, be prepared to get filters and a bag of ground coffee. A Keurig would be a major improvement! It was a waste to buy a whole bag of coffee, but I really wanted to enjoy a cup first thing in the morning while my daughter was still sleeping. Next, as others have noted, there are two TVs that are smart TVs. So if you know your Netflix (or Amazon) password you were all good and can sign in while you’re there. If not, no TV for you. I don’t really go on vacation to watch TV, but one night we were particularly tired and enjoyed snuggling up to watch a movie. The location is really great right at the tip of Forsyth Park. We could walk everywhere during the daytime. If you are staying alone (or maybe with your daughter :-) I would recommend taking an Uber right to the front door. All in all a lovely little apartment that I hope to stay in many times over the next 4 years while my daughter attends SCAD.

Stayed Mar 1, 2022Clean third floor unit. Kitchen has everything for a basic meal. Had a couple maintenance issues: tub drain was very slow and backed up during shower, toilet flusher broke (property managers fixed it quickly), toilet paper holder was broken, and there was a large bumblebee inside one window for 2 out of 4 days. The bed was comfortable, the washer and dryer were nice to have in the kitchen and the location can’t be beat!

Stayed Feb 3, 2022We parked the car for our long weekend stay and walked everywhere. Free DOT bus service with a stop nearby if needed. Apartment is on the third floor (I may have missed reading about that detail), but once you get up there, its a beautiful, clean apartment!
