About Old School Center for the Arts
Old School Square Center for The Arts is a nonprofit which has provided visual arts, performing arts, art literacy and learning, entertainment, outdoor concerts, and community activities for over 30 years. The nonprofit is committed to a wide range of activities that are diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment for all.
The cultural hub of the town is Old School Square. Here you can find art, theater, history and much more. Set within several restored 100 year old school buildings it offers a variety of venues showcasing something to satisfy everyone’s cultural palate. From art exhibits, Off Broadway performances, comedy acts, or concerts at the Gymnasium, there is something to excite the ears, eyes, or soul!

Foodie Heaven and Celeb Spotting
Atlantic Avenue, the main artery of the city, is becoming known as a restaurant haven across the country. The mile long stretch heading to the beach is lined with every kind of food you could want. The outdoor café style dining & palm tree lined avenue makes for a beautiful thoroughfare to stroll down tasting various cuisines, or stop and enjoy the people watching. Don’t be surprised to see local resident Kevin James or his buddy Adam Sandler enjoying a meal or checking out a boutique. The great restaurants filter into the side streets and other parts of town so don’t let your search for amazing food stop there.

The Arts District
If it’s culture you’re into, you don’t have to jet off to the big cities to get a dose of art or history. Delray Beach is home to Artist’s Alley, an incubator of homegrown artists creating and showcasing their art in the town in which they find their inspiration. See original pieces and meet the creators. If galleries are more your speed than slow down and take a look at the assortment of galleries tucked throughout the town. Enter through the trademark arch on NE 2nd avenue into the Pineapple Grove Art District for a day of cafes, shopping and local art.

Get Your Culture On
Delray Beach has an interesting cultural history. A visit to the Spady Museum, one of the only African-American cultural history museums in the state, will provide some insight into the people that helped shape this Village by the Sea. A trip to the Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens will land you in beautiful tranquility while offering another culture’s viewpoint on the history of this coastal settlement. For another museum I dare you to find in Manhattan or Chicago, coast into the Surf History Museum and see the rich history of surfing that has risen from the East Coast. With a great deal of information, cool memorabilia and boards it’s a great place to catch a break.

Delray Knows How to Throw a Party
Delray Beach is an entertainment hub. Scattered throughout the restaurants and bars, city venues, and even the streets, there is always something going on.

With such a beautiful backdrop of beaches, parks, and palm trees it’s a great place be out and about. It’s a quaint walkable city but if you want to kick it up, and I’m not talking about a jog, rent a bike from Richwagen’s Bike shop which has been around for over 50 years. Ride up A1A or down the streets of our historic district taking in the sights. If you really want to see the town in style and comfort head over to Exhilaride and rent one of their top-of-the-line golf carts. Delray is a golf cart friendly town. Better yet, call on the Delray Downtowner, a free golf cart service.

Get Wet
If you are more comfortable off land, Delray offers a number of fun options. Explore the world under the warm waters of the Atlantic with an excursion from Scuba Center Delray. Check out one of the world’s largest coral reefs and the amazing sea life just below the surface. There are plenty of watersports above the waves as well, including paddle boarding, parasailing and kayaking. And then there is always a beautiful afternoon or sunset cruise along the intercostal waterway on the Lady Atlantic from Delray Yacht Cruises. Delray has you covered whatever you thirst for the outdoors may be.

Located 1 block to the Ocean city really has its own feel and identity, and so much to offer… A break from South Florida in South Florida. I invite you to discover Delray Beach, an undiscovered jewel to most and a treasure to those who have.

Although we did not use the beach during our stay, it was walking distance close. Chairs, towels, an umbrella and cooler were all at our disposal. The condo was clean, bright, cheery and well equipped. We were able to settle in and feel completely comfortable. Our property contact, Diane, was helpful and great to deal with. We will definitely stay here again on our next journey to Delray.

I loved my little condo. It was older but very clean and nicely appointed. It had everything I needed. Plus the property was one block from the beach, one block from great shopping and a few walkable blocks from lots of great restaurants.

We’ve stayed at this location before but a different unit. It is the perfect location. 1/2 to the beach and 1/2 block to the Ave. This unit was very clean. Space is perfect for 2 people. Loved that it had beach chairs and towels. We would definitely rent here again

Arrived after the check-in time and found a pile of used bed linens on the living room floor. Contacted manager (fortunately she answered!) and she moved us to a different unit. If she wasn't available this would have been pretty bad. After that, needed the parking pass which was promised but not on site. We parked on the street and fortunately we were not ticketed or towed. The parking pass and a couple of beach towels were left in our unit the next day. The kitchen was well-equipped and we liked the location, walking distance (through a parking lot) to the beach. With some attention to detail this would have gone more smoothly.

Older complex but clean and neat. We visited area after spring break so it was quieter. Could walk to almost everything we wanted to; beach, shopping and restaurants. We happened to be there for the big 3 day art fair. that was great!
