Grandview 634 Waterfront condo on Lake Chelan

The home was the perfect size and had all the amenities I needed.

The listing on VRBO is inaccurate. There’s no murphy bed as listed. Pull out sofa and one bed. Much better suited for 4 people than six. They offered a blow up mattress, but that’s a much different experience than having an actual bed. It takes up the entire living room floor space with no room to walk through. Breaking it down and setting it up each morning and evening wasn’t the way we wanted to spend part of our time there, especially because the listing was inaccurate. The dishes and cutlery also accommodate just 4 people. After contacting both VRBO and property management over 2 weeks ago, the listing still hasn’t been updated. On the positive side, check in was a breeze, views were beautiful, condo was clean, proximity to downtown was great! It’s a disappointment because there were several units available at the same price that actually accommodate 6 people. Would stay at this complex again, not this unit, because we feel we most definitely over paid for what were promised.

First visit to Grandview. First Fall visit to Chelan. The location of the property was great. The size of the unit was nice. The water view was wonderful. Sadly, the first morning there we woke up to ants in the kitchen. Husband cleaned them up, they came right back. Called maintenance, who brought 2 ant traps and placed them in kitchen. Gross overall, couldn't leave food in kitchen, as we saw ants crawling on our sealed food containers. We are very clean people, so this was disgusting. Soon saw more ants. Maintenance came back and realized they were crawling in from front door, all along hallway inside home, on our duffel bag! We had to throw out food. We paid for this size unit with a kitchen and now we could not cook. Had to move food to living room table. They had to move us to a different unit, which took a few hours, due to cleaning schedule. Our reservations at a wine tasting had to be let go. Our day was thrown off. Finally moved to a clean unit - but we had to downgrade to a queen bed (prefer and paid for King) and we no longer had a washer and dryer, which was important for our stay. Hope to hear from owners, as this was a very frustrating experience.

Wonderfully close to town but thin walls... can be loud at times.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Grandview was only location that would accept one night so we were a bit concerned, but were pleasantly surprised. Everyone was very accommodating, the bed was very comfortable, linens very nice, pillows too. Room was very clean. Very nice location, fabulous view!
