Stayed Mar 16, 2019My family vacations in the San Diego area 1-2 times per year and this was our first time staying in north county. Our usual vacation rentals in La Jolla we’re booked so we branched our to Carlsbad and I’m so happy we did! The resort was so close to Legoland that we could have easily walked but the resort provided a free shuttle—turns out it would have cost $32 to park at Legoland! The resort staffers were enthusiastic and eager to assist whenever they could. We loved the size and layout of the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit. There was plenty of room for my big family to spread out and enjoy the space. The resort had a few drop-in activities scheduled throughout the day which we loved because it gave our kids the chance to make friends with the other kiddos staying at the resort. My wife and I also enjoyed ‘Sangria Night’ at the adult pool. My kids LOVED the pool and splash pad! The unit owner (Terry Stisser) was a pleasure to deal with. He was really on top of things and helped make this week go so smoothly. Needless to say we will absolutely try to book Grand Pacific Palisades again!

Stayed Mar 21, 2018Our stay was in late March, as the flower fields just west of the resort were raging into full bloom. Lovely colors and gardens. The adult spa is large and hot with strong jets; just the thing after a long day herding cats (kids) around the sights of San Diego or Carlsbad, like Legoland. Housekeeping seems to struggle to keep up. Pool and room towels seemed, for some reason, to always be in short supply or a long time coming. They also appeared to have trouble keeping the ice machines (why isn't there one on the third floor?) functioning.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a gorgeous property with the resort sprawling above the Carlsbad flower fields overlooking the ocean. We used the swimming pools, game room, laundry facility, playground, movie rentals and beach equipment from the resort and loved it. The condo itself is very clean and comfortable with plenty of space for our family of 6 and with all the supplies to cook your own meals in the full kitchen. We also enjoyed the short 50 minute drive to Disneyland and the close proximity to Costco, the outlets, the beach, and the freeway. Booking and working with Terry (the owner) was a breeze. He was very professional and timely and created a stress-free reservation for us. Thank you! We would love to return!
