Quiet location, easy access to/from I-70. Georgetown is a quaint little mountain town with cute shops downtown and a couple of nice eateries, but with limited nightlife.
Closest ski/snowboard mountain is Loveland, about 15 minutes west. Several more ski areas farther down the road in either direction.
Ice fishing and ice races during winter months on Georgetown Lake. Fishing and festivals throughout the summer months. Hiking, skiing, rafting, and much more.
Sorry, but no pets. Also, no smoking. Remember, 29 nights minimum rental.
This was our second year in a row staying at Tom's place. It is conveniently located close to so many activities. Tom is very responsive to any thing that you need. Hope to stay again.
This is not a first time for my family to stay at Georgetown during winter. We found the condo advertised for 5 persons but, as the owner pointed out later, it's rather appropriate for 2 adults and 2 children if they can be trusted with the steep staircase. I was charged extra for the 5th person but credited later as only four of us stayed there. The water tank provides enough water for about 3 regular showers and then it takes about an hour to heat up again. It takes some planning for the bathroom to work for more than 3 people. Kitchen is small with old refrigerator, newer stove/oven and microwave. Very few pots and no storage containers to speak of are available. The element inside the fridge was covered with thick block of ice and our food froze during the first night. There's very little counter space in the kitchen and the floor is covered with carpet which is not ideal. In a rush I put a hot oven shelf on the kitchen floor as there's really nowhere to put it except for bathtub. It cost me entire damage deposit because, I was told, the carpet had to be replaced in the entire kitchen (and that's a small area). If you like to cook, you may want to consider some other place. The inside of the condo is in good repair and has adequate furnishings. The wood stove is not working . There's plenty of good bedding available. Carpets needed cleaning. The air inside during the winter is very dry and we had suffered sore throats until I bought humidifiers for the bedrooms as the owner felt this was superfluous as well as a hair dryer. I have lived in Alberta, Canada for a long time and I know about indoor and outdoor air in frosty weather. I would recommend that the owner considers this a standard not a luxury and equips the condo with such necessities as other owners do. The laundromat was out of service when I took my laundry there and the owner sent me to the next little town which meant that I spent my evening hours (3 + hours) driving at night and babysitting my load of laundry. With wintry weather, the stairs and walkways are treacherous and on weekends the traffic can back up with cars slipping up the hill to get out of the complex. The owner is responsive via text/phone.
Great one bedroom condo with a loft for the kids. Set in a quaint little town close to multiple ski areas. Comes with a great view of the mountain, where we saw wildlife on multiple occasions. Tom treated us with respect and really worked to make our visit enjoyable. We'd definitely stay here again.
Wi-Fi was an issue all week long. Stupid long password was an incredible pain in the butt. 7 words plus spaces.
We enjoyed this condo, it was a great place to spend our Thanksgiving. Very quaint, cozy & comfortable. We have been visiting Georgetown for almost 10 years and this is by far the best place that we have stayed!
Very vell organized and clean house i a hidden city, we stayed in October all went very well. Thank you!
This was the second time we had spent a week at this condo visiting the Colorado ski slopes. We absolutely love the condo, the location in relation to the ski slopes, and the affordability. Thanks for allowing us to make your home away from home our home away from home. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area and I know we will be back.
I stayed here with my cousin for 4 nights and it was a great spot. Small town with a few places to eat, gas station, etc. Not a lot going on in Georgetown, but safe area close to the mountains. Owner was very easy to work with.
The condo is about 50 minutes West of Denver on I-70, and 15 minutes East of the Loveland ski area. It's a very convenient location if skiing in Loveland. The condo was cozy, clean, had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The bedding was soft and warm. The condo had cable TV, a DVD player with plenty of DVDs, games, although we didn't use any of those. The area was very safe, we left the ski rentals in the car overnight without any problem. The neighborhood was very quiet. The owner Tom was very accommodating, let us check in early, quickly answered our text messages. We had problems connecting to wifi and texted Tom around 8:30pm. He immediately texted back instructing us to reset the router. He later texted again asking if we were able to connect. Although there's only one parking tag for the condo, we parked the 2nd car outside the parking lot on the other side of the street. It sat there for 3 days without any issue.
We were pleasantly surprised with the condo. It was clean, comfy and close to Loveland Ski Area. We were a group of 5 adults and it worked out well. There were plenty of extra blankets and towels. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
