Great stay at Menehune 505! The condo is very well maintained, clean, and perfect for families. The kitchen is fully stocked, making it easy to cook meals at home. We loved having beach gear (chairs, umbrella, cooler), plus plenty of kids’ games and sand toys for our daily outings.There’s a beach area directly south of the property (a “fish pond”) that’s ideal for small children. The property also offers two separate grilling areas with picnic tables, which are great for larger group outdoor meals.Each bedroom has its own AC unit, which was a big plus, and the rooftop deck is great for sunsets. The pool was clean and inviting. (note: there is no hot tub). Jim was an excellent host—very communicative and helpful, especially during the recent Maui flooding.Highly recommend!

Property was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the location- great jumping off point for west Maui, Makena and the great Turtle Town beaches, and Haleakala National Park. Rooms were comfortable- sofa bed was a little rickety but that’s what is to be expected in sofa beds. All in all a great experience!

Lovely and worked well for family of 3 adults.

The unit is great, the view and beach even better. Unit was clean and had all the essentials for a great stay. The main bed and blackout curtains made all the difference. The view from the lanai is incredible. The pool was clean and never too busy. The beach is perfect for young children, where it's gentle and shallow. Turtles on the rocks every single day swimming around was icing on the cake.

Property is exactly as shown. Very clean and well cared for. We enjoyed sitting on the patio everyday and staring at the water. Kitchen well equipped down to sharp knives! Will definitely try to stay on our next visit. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The condo was perfect, very clean, and had everything we needed. Owner was very helpful with recommendations for our first stay in Maui. If we ever get to go back, we will definitely stay here again. Loved that there was a Keurig coffee maker too! The pool and beach are just steps away, which made for staying in quite nice on the days we didn't explore. Excellent dining right in the complex as well as close by. Would recommend this place with high marks.

Rented this property for my 75th birthday. Centrally located, clean awesome view. Was absolutely perfect for 3 people. Would absolutely rent again when we return to Maui.

Loved this location and property. Rooftop view was amazing, nice pool, steps to beach, and wonderful view from balcony. Communication was great, condo was well equipped, beds in bedrooms were comfortable. Our son said the sleeper sofa was not comfortable but I believe that is stated in the property description. Would still be fine for a child. They were very kind to work with us on check out as we had a later flight. We would definitely stay here again!

This property was fantastic. We could not have asked for anywhere better to stay. The condo was fabulous and outfitted with everything you would need to enjoy a stay in Maui. The park right next door allowed for viewing the sea turtles lounging on the rocks during the day and coming onto the beach in the evenings. The only bad part was having to leave. If we ever return to Maui, this is the only place we want to stay. Thanks for a great vacation spot and for allowing us to use your paradise getaway.

Condo property was on the beach making it easy access to the beach. Local to all shopping and eating and surrounding beaches. Property owner had pretty much everything we needed. Great view from 5th floor location. Would definitely stay again with this property.

Nice condo as advertised, all was great

First the windows are so clean- when I walked in the unit looking at ocean I didn’t think there was glass there! View is better than photos. I lived walking down to the little quiet secluded beach both early morning and sunset. Ocean water was perfect. (Wind started about 2pm ever afternoon so morning swims were better for us) condo had everything needed. Very please. Owners are great with communication, ideas, and thought of so many things (like including beach toys, adding beach towels, kitchen has nice pans to cook in, and so forth) Would stay again.

Very impressed overall. The posting and pictures were accurate. The view from the Lanai was perfect, the rooftop area was a perk. The fish pond was wonderful, allowed my kids to be free in the space without having to worry so much about the surf from the breakwater surround. They did see turtles every time they went out, I think there are a few that like to call the rocks home. This condo had everything you could need. Lots of towels, bedding, beach supplies, A/C, ceiling fans, extra fans, the best stocked kitchen I have ever used, including Tupperware for leftovers or picnics. I would highly recommend Unit 505 at Menehune Shores. Cons: Bathrooms could use a deep clean/refresh. The A/C unit on the Lanai expels very warm air when it is running and still some all the time when A/C is off. Not a real issue but in the evening when the kids were in bed and I wanted to sit on the lanai but also cool the interior down it was not pleasant and then during the day when sitting out on the lanai it could still be felt when AC was off. (not sure why). This was an issue for me and my mom (COPD) but maybe not for most. I found a very strong scent in the Master bedroom (front bdrm ok), it was not an odor but a strong air freshener-type smell. It was almost constant and even when I had all windows and doors open it was still there. I never found the source, but the onsite manager and Jim were very responsive to my concern. We just couldn't stay again for that reason. Mahalo

We stayed four nights and lived the spacious accommodations and gorgeous view. Owner was a wonderful communicator.

The owner thought about a lot of little things to make our stay great. The black out shades, the Sleep Number bed, all the appliances, pots and pans and kitchen gadgets. There were instructions for everything. The view is amazing and the turtles were amazing to see right outside the condo.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view from the unit is great, and it had plenty of room for our family. The central location on the island made it convenient to a lot of places on the island.
