The Flats at Front + Union (100 E Front Street, Traverse City, MI) is a boutique hotel that sits on the most prominent corner of downtown Traverse City, the corner of Front St and Union St. One block away from everything, including the beaches, marina, nightlife and downtown Traverse City restaurants. Each Flat comes with its own downtown parking spot.

Stayed Feb 28, 2025This place feels like a very cool urban apartment, the kind of two-story loft a successful young professional would have in a big city. It's literally across the street from half a dozen bars and a short walk to the water, so if you're just looking to explore TVC you won't need a car. If you do have a car, parking is easy, as is the keyless entry. Can't recommend it enough for a weekend in Traverse City.

Stayed Feb 7, 2025We were delighted with the Flats at Front and Union. Clean, lots of natural light, thoughtful non-intrusive check-ins by management to ensure our safety and comfort. Very convenient onsite parking. In the middle of downtown Traverse City. We will definitely stay here during future visits to TVC.

Stayed Dec 6, 2024We loved staying at The Flats. Everything was so nice and clean...like you could eat off the floor clean. They have everything you need - a stocked kitchen, nice dishes, coffee, shampoo/body wash, etc. The bedding was lovely....so comfy it was hard to get out of bed in the morning! The location is great...right in the little downtown. Everything is within walking distance - restaurants, bars, shops, coffee, etc. We could even see the water from our flat. Also, the service is top notch. We had a small issue the first night we were there and Steve had it resolved within minutes. We loved our room and the location and highly recommend staying here!! We also had a blast in Traverse City. For a few local recommendations, you have to try the pizza place right behind The Flats - Charles and Reid. It's ridiculously good. Maybe the best pizza we've ever had. The Omelette Shoppe is a short walk and has a great breakfast. And the pretzel rolls at 7 Monks...amazing. Even if you don't like pretzels. We also visited Mari winery, which was a lovely place with great wine. If you're thinking about booking here, do it! You won't be disappointed.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious flat! The furnishings are beautiful and comfortable. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating. And the location is perfect! So many restaurants, shops and bars within a few steps or blocks. We will definitely be back!

Stayed Sep 20, 2024THIS FLAT IS AN AWESOME DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE. SO EASY TO ACCESS AND WALKING DISTANCE TO EVERYTHING DOWNTOWN. THE VIEWS WERE BEAUTIFUL AND THE LARGE WINDOWS BRING IN SO MUCH LIGHT. WEST BAY VIEW FROM THE FRONT WINDOW AND THE SUNSET FROM THE SIDE WINDOW. THE CORNER FLAT IS SO SPACIOUS AND IT HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED. BEAUTIFUL DECORATIONS AND FURNITURE. COMFORTABLE BEDS AND A STOCKED BATHROOM WERE A BONUS. STOCKED KITCHEN AND LAUNDRY MADE IT SO EASY TO STAY AND HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED, JUST LIKE HOME. PARKING SPACE MADE IT LESS STRESSFUL ARRIVING AND VENTURING OUT. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Stayed in Flat 301 for a few nights on our girls trip to TC. Everything about this flat is wonderful. The location can't be beat. Parking and building access is so easy. The unit is beautiful and has everything you need for your stay. The beds and pillows are so comfortable. The towels and linens are so plush. And the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We didn't want to leave!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really enjoyed our stay in Flat 301. This was on the top floor and was wonderful view of the city and Lake Michigan. The location cannot be beat, you are in the perfect location for touring the city and a short walk to the beach. The decor was nice, and the beds were so comfortable.
