Family & pet friendly, beach house style condo on the sunny Gulf of Mexico shore

Pros- cheaper than most condos and pool was very nice and walking distance to beach. Condo provided beach items which was also nice. Cons- the place was a lil outdated and needed some repairs to the restroom and upstair bedroom walls. Kitchen sink had a leak. The host phone number was no longer in service and wasn’t able to contact her. Upstairs room needs a lil more tlc. Vents need cleaning

The property was perfect for our short family trip. The home was well stocked. The owner generous with their property and had no issues with check it or our stay. We will definitely look forward to visiting again.

The room was not in good condition needs some TLC. The property around room was nice pool area was nice.

Location is fantastic, with views of the pool, and even the beach from the living room and upper room balconies. Spacious. Kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. Loved that the property had a beach wagon, chairs and a cooler bag to take to and from the beach! There was also a nice boogie board and some other pool floats. As an added bonus, there are nets for crab hunting, which my boys love!As other reviews have stated, there is some wear and tear on some kitchen cabinets, etc. However, my opinion is that the primary function of a beach condo is to be a comfortable and relaxing place, with easy access to the beach and pool. By these measures, Villa Bonita is exceptional, and my family would absolutely stay here again!

Family trip with 7 adults, 1 child, 1 pet. Condo was as described, check in at gate easy, pretty quick. Comfortable, fit all of us without any difficulty. It was clean, although sand is a factor and seems to get tracked in even if you have just come from the parking area. All the appliances worked. Note: Coffee pot is drip not Keurig. There was enough dish soap, dishwasher pods but just enough, not any extra. Same with garbage bags, we used them all. There's dishtowels but no pot holders, used dry dishtowels with out incident. Plenty of plates, cups, mugs and plastic ones for pool. Good pots and pans, but not a pot big enough to boil pasta, that might be something to consider adding. The beds & pillows were comfortable. The mini split in the top bedroom worked great keeping it cool & comfortable. The balconies were really nice but no chairs to sit and enjoy the view. Had to move stools out there which isn't as comfortable to enjoy cup of coffee.As noted in other reviews it needs updating - paint, fixtures etc but, served our family well, we were comfortable & pet friendly is MUCH appreciated. Porthole windows in 2 of the bedrooms were filled with a pillow which made the downstairs back bedroom really dark because it's the only window in that room. NOTE: parking is included for 2 cars, extra car was 80. Would have been nice to know. Beach shade, wagon, toys etc were GREAT! All in all would definitely stay again.

The mini split in the master bedroom wasnt working until our last day there so it was not very comfortable. The apartment wasn't as nice as it appeared on vrbo.

The condo facilities were very nice, especially the sun deck near the beach. Pool areas were spacious and well-kept. There was construction on our building while we were there which prevented us from using the balconies (there was debris, sometimes a ladder, men coming and going). The unit was spacious and met our basic needs.

The condo has maintenance issues . Upstairs mini split air conditioner not working, all walls need painting, stair case carpet needs replacing or cleaning (very dirty), round porthole windows leak with visible signs of mold on sheet rock around the porthole windows one bathroom had no hot water.

Great location to pool and especially the beach. Only downside if there is, was apt on 3rd floor and no elevator.

Beautiful grounds and pools. Well kept and inviting. Great access to the beach. Condo could use some updating, but was comfortable and affordable for our group of 7.

Beautiful destination, pool was fabulous nice entrance to ocean, clean. Place could use some updating but overall had what we needed and we had a nice stay

Clean, easy access to pool and ocean. Nice to have the wagon and chairs and cooler. We did have to purchase an iron.

Overall we had a good stay but was disappointed in the poor quality throughout the home. Cabinets crooked on hinges in the kitchen, many things in disrepair, mold on ceiling in the living room, wind whistles through the door frame, etc. We choose this unit because of the access to the playground, however when we arrived they were turning the playground into a kiddy pool and it was still under construction! That would have been nice to know before we booked. We did love access to a few beach toys - that was much appreciated!

We loved staying at this cozy condo. My family of 8 slept comfortably. Each room had clean sheets and a restroom. One of the toilets on the lower level did take a while to flush , but other than that not a bad thing to say.I loved all the amenities offered during my stay. The property was wonderful. The beach was clean, the pools were never over crowded. We had 6 people in the condo and it was plenty spacious we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The beds were very comfortable. Having 3 showers was a very nice bonus. Would stay again!

We have stayed at the Bahia mar every year in other properties. This one was subpar compared to the other ones. Dryer didn’t dry, fridge wasn’t cold enough and the unit had lots of outdated features: cabinets, cookware was rusty, and the grill was extremely dirty. Bathrooms were an issue, low water pressure. The resort is great, pools are awesome and customer service from management was very good.

Our stay went extremely well. Although it was short we enjoyed the comfy family oriented stay. Everything we needed was there for us. So thank you for a great ending to our vacation.
