Enjoy the Beautiful Sandy Beach at Makaha Beach Cabanas.

Wonderful host and communication! So easy to work with and was flexible when I asked. The view of the ocean, whales, turtles swimming and sunsets are incredible! The condo has all you need to be comfortable and includes beach chairs, beach towels, body boards, yoga mats and more. The residents in the building are kind and quiet. A relaxing and breathtaking escape on a less populated side of the island. The local marina has tour boats for whale watching, snorkeling and fishing excursions so you don’t need to drive to town for that. There are hikes and several beaches with great snorkeling in the area too. Once you’re on the west side you won’t want to leave this delightful retreat!

Great location, great neighbors. The condo is fully equipped with all beach and kitchen needs. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

The ocean is so beautiful, and right there! The view is awesome, on a quiet beach (except for the sound of the crashing waves!) That's what it's all about! The condo has everything you'll need. If you're over 65, you can get a monthly bus pass for $6 with unlimited rides. Bus stop is close by.

Cabanas right on the beautiful sandy beach. Wayne was very quick to respond and was easy to communicate with. We loved our stay. Especially the sunsets from our lanai or right on the beach. We saw turtles and whales, amazing. You need a car as it is away from the tourist sites. But very calm and quiet, a wonderful place to relax.

This rental condo was everything we ever wanted and more. The photos don't do it justice – the view from the balcony is stunning and we got to watch the sunset every night (it was perfectly centered on the ocean - incredibly picturesque). The beach down below is hidden from the main road, so although it is not a private beach (there are none in Hawaii), it sure feels like one. The condo itself was very clean and the perfect size for two of us. I was a bit concerned that there was no AC, but with the large ceiling fans and ocean breeze, I rarely felt like it was too hot indoors (even as I worked on a computer during the week). It was the perfect place to work remotely. The area itself is the more authentic part of Oahu, far away from the tourist areas. We explored the other neighborhoods and really think the west side is the best side! It was our first time visiting Oahu and definitely want to come back to this rental next time we visit. Older updated cabanas but right on the beach, beautiful sandy beach, have to watch the surf for younger ones. Owner was quick to respond to any questions we had, loved our stay. Need a car as it is away from the tourist sites, local area, with a larger city near by for stores such as Ross, Walmart, Costco etc. did have a large grocery store nearby for all our needs. Coin laundry on site. The units all have bedrooms facing the beach with glass sliding doors onto a lanai so you can hear the waves at night, this unit was well equipped with beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and beach toys. We hope to go back again.

My family of four stayed for two weeks in the Condo. The location was perfect for what we wanted, which was a relaxing time on the beach. It is such a beautiful beach and it was so nice to be steps away each day from swimming in that beautiful water. The owner Wayne was extremely accommodating and helpful with everything. The condo was very clean and well supplied and just what we needed. Two things that I would mention, not complaints but just info that I would’ve found helpful, the surrounding town is quite rough. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable being there shopping for groceries etc without my husband. Secondly the ocean has a very strong undertow, if my children were younger (they are 10 and 12) I would have been concerned. Overall we had an amazing time and are sad to be leaving. We hope to be back soon!!!

10/10 for me! Everything I could have possibly needed was accommodated for. Upon arrival, condo was superbly clean. The view matches the picture provided to the T and the mountains outside of my front door is spectacular! It was worth every penny to wake up and go to sleep to the sounds of the waves hitting the shore as well as the gorgeous scene of the rising and setting sun. The beach was private to the condo and the surrounding buildings so it was never crowded, which is perfect. I just loved the entirety of everything. Best 10 nights ever booked!

we enjoyed the condo - it is small, but very well maintained & equipped - right on the ocean - the waves were loud at night, but very lovely view - we saw turtles & whales on a regular basis - the dogs across the street did bark in the evening & the roosters crowed in the morning - this being said this is a great spot away from the big city - you will need a car - very pleasant & relaxing....

We enjoyed our stay at the Makaha Cabanas. The open Lanai beachfront was amazing, we would leave open all night and fall asleep to the waves. Literally 2-3 minutes away is nice golf course with reasonable rates. The condo was clean and in excellent condition with all the beach amenities. If your looking for nice relaxing trip this is the place. We have stayed in this area a few times before and we will definitely look to stay at this condo again… Thank you
