Wells, Maine
This end unit condo is just a walk across the street to Wells beach, by Public Walkway 1 and 2. The unit is located on the second floor of a two-story building. It has all that you need to enjoy a relaxing and tranquil stay at the beach. The loft style master bedroom is accessed by a spiral staircase. The large and comfortable room has a queen size bed, tv and bathroom. The downstairs bedroom is a small but cozy room with a twin bed and a tv. The condo has a bright and airy open concept living, dining and kitchen area, with the kitchen offering all the things needed for cooking in. The big semi-private deck is perfect for enjoying the ocean breezes!
It is a short walking distance to a few quaint shops and restaurants . If you want to explore, leave the car behind and take the local trolley which is a 5 or so minute walk at the top of the street. The unit has 1 assigned parking space located in front of the building.
This condo is so comfortable and cute! The configuration of two bedrooms and two bathrooms is hard to find and most appreciated. The location is less than a 5 minute to the beach and makes it very easy to walk back and forth to the condo when needed. This was our 2nd season staying here and we loved it!
This I is is a really nice place to stay. It is an upstairs unit. Upon entering, you walk into the living room and open kitchen area. All amenities such as dishes, bakeware, glasses, paper towels and cleaning supplies were all included. All we had to bring was our sheets and towels. We enjoyed using the ROKU in the evening. This place is clean. 2 showers were very helpful and the water pressure was incredible. The upstairs bedroom was very big and provided lots of privacy. Communication with the owner was prompt and she is very fast with answering any questions and concerns. Ac unit was nice and provided a nice white noise to sleep. Close to the beach!
This little condo was fantastic! The walk to the beach is so easy and less than 5 minutes. The master bedroom on the second floor was very comfortable but the second bedroom is very small (would be great for little kids or one person, we had two adults for a few nights and it was very tight). The condo itself was small but most of our time spent back at the condo was on the covered deck where they had a nice table and chairs.
Quiet neighborhood. Short walk to the beach. Other renters/owners in condos were very pleasant
We really enjoyed our stay, and would come back. Very easy walk to the beach, and to a few eateries (more breakfast grab-no-go style), close to a playground, an arcade, and a short drive to other conveniences/fun like grocery store, and brewery (Hidden Cove). Something I missed among the hustle and bustle of life, work, and researching to book a vacation was the one pic (currently 20 of 23) that makes it obvious that this is a 2nd floor unit. At the time of our trip, we had a not quite 4 y/o, and a 6 y/o. The owner Kerry received a noise complaint for the little one jumping off furniture. Also, the oldest threw some paper airplane(s) off the balcony that landed on cars, and was probably loud running down the stairs (early am) to retrieve them. Some other guest must have also tossed water balloons (we didn't have any) off the balcony which was falsely associated with our children. Kerry was great in the conversation, being empathetic to our situation as parents, while being sure to underscore the concerns of the guests below. Their complaints were legitimate, and I do not fault them. However, this should be considered if you have a young family, and are thinking about this unit. No matter how hard you try, you can't keep rambunctious young kids in check all the time. After the conversation, we felt like we were walking on egg shells the rest of the time, and regularly shushing our kids...making for a less than relaxing remainder of our stay. Not the owner's fault, but 2nd floor location should be considered before you book. Perhaps note that in the description? Within the next day or so after the above, someone vomited fairly close to the shared stairs that we had to walk down to get anywhere. I let Kerry know, and the property management team took care of it quickly. Minor nitpicks were that I had to prod the owner to ask about key info. in the early afternoon after I was advised it would be provided in the morning. The listing also notes coin-op laundry...but unless we missed it, we could not find it anywhere on the property grounds. One thing that was a little confusing when we first arrived was that the unit's parking spot is out of sequential order with all the others. That's actually a good thing for your stay since that places it right near your unit. The place was a great base for our beach adventures, and stay in the area. Cozy, some might say tight, but a nice size for us.
Friendly, clean and cute condo association maybe 4 minute walk to beach by public way 2. Climate controlled, 2 baths, friendly owner, outdoor seating where we could hear the waves at high tide....just an overall wonderful experience!
Very clean, plenty of amenities and nicely decorated. Short walk to the beach. Great place to stay!
Lots of good things to say about this place - clean, friendly and responsive host, excellent WiFi (for working remotely), and a 2-min walk from being in the ocean. We had 2 adults and 2 pre-teens and it was tight to share the space compared to a full house, but the upper floor is very open and we ate out on the deck every night, so it was enough. Also easy to walk to the shops down the street (w/ good coffee and smoothies), with grocery store about a mile away. Great and convenient stay, thanks again to Kerry for the great communication!
Great, cozy condo for a beach vacation with my family. Definitely on my list of places to visit again!
