Cozy Casa Carmelita features a Brilliant Kiva Fireplace, Unique Patio & Hot Tub!

It’s even more beautiful than the photos! The wonderful neighbors were a bonus! It’s an easy walk to historic downtown Taos, but still felt like we were out in nature. Couldn’t have picked a better place!

An amazing, quiet and secluded setting with comfortable and thoughtful amenities! What we didn't like... leaving!!

It was everything a Taos VRBO should be: an adobe home with vibrant decor. Located very close to the historic district it had private parking, a private courtyard, a hot tub, well gas fireplace, good water pressure with plenty of hot water and a well equipped kitchen.

Charming and cozy! Very comfortable casita- fireplace, hot tub, well appointed kitchen, comfy furnishings. So quiet yet close to town.

This cosy home is beautiful. Well appointed and decorated. Fully equipped kitchen and very clean. Nice, walkable neighborhood with access to art, restaurants, and museums. The hot tub, fire pit are so nice. It’s just a lovely place. Carmelita was easy to communicate with and prompt. The neighbors are so nice. And there are 2 wonderful dogs to greet you. But don’t be dissuaded. If you are not a dog person, the owners are very respectful and responsible. Loved Taos. So much to do. We hope to go back and would choose this place again. We loved the gas fireplace , the hot tub and the beautiful setting and garden. The casita was attractive and very comfortable and in a nice neighborhood.

Camilla has always made us feel very welcome. We treat her property just as we would treat our own. We feel very comfortable.

This clean, intimate, and quite property exceeded our expectations with a small patio, quite and safe neighborhood, and a fresh hot tub with privacy fence.

This was probably one of the nicest places we’ve stayed that welcomes dogs. It was spotless, well-stocked, well-appointed, quiet and convenient. The courtyard was perfect and so was the hot tub. This little place checks all the boxes! We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Lovely little casita walking distance to the historic district of Taos while still being tucked enough away. Such a cute home and the outdoor area was still so widely used even in winter. We'd gladly return! The art on the walls was all done by the casita owner as well which felt really homey.

Casa Carmelita was a great place to stay! We really enjoyed the patio and the hot tub! There is a comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, and the washer and dryer was a bonus! it is close to the plaza and restaurants and stores in town.

This is the third time that my husband and I have stayed here to enjoy the world class hiking trails in the area. So comfortable. Perfect location. The new hot tub is great. We hope to come back for years to come.

We’ve stayed here multiple times. We enjoy this property and Carmelita is beyond helpful. I am usually thorough when departing, but this time I left our travel folder. Carmelita went beyond what is expected and will be sending the folder back to us. The property is quiet and relaxing. I’m sure we’ll be back—assuming it’s available when we return. Carmelita is kind and easy to deal with. We follow the outlined rules and leave the property with the respect and with care it deserves.

It is small but very efficient use of space. The house had everything we needed; A/C in living room and cool air in bedroom, hot tub, chiminea, laundry detergent, plenty of dishes (although we didn’t cook), there was even coffee for the Kureig. About 2/3 mile from plaza, so we walked everywhere. Would definitely stay here again!

First of all, the communications were excellent and always asap in speed, both with Carmelita and the caretaker (as we called and wanted to check in an hour earlier). And, everything was ready and perfect! The best stocked kitchen with great cookware, utensils, china, on and on. And, the decor was lovely. After being on the road almost a month, the washer and dryer really came in handy. The property was so lovely. Really enjoyed both mornings and evenings out on the relaxing private patio. We wanted to take advantage of the hot tub but never could fit it into our Taos schedule! I cannot say enough about this VRBO spot. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for having us!

Casita Carmileta is a wonderful excape to Taos and the outstanding cultural heritage unique to New Mexico. The Casita is furnished with the guests needs, comfort and privacy in mind. It was everything we expected and more.

Such a warm, inviting place with all the things to make a stay complete. The hosts are pleasantly responsive if needed. I have stayed here several times and come back for the special feeling of the casita and the location to town. From starting my morning on the patio with the neighborhood flicker, magpie and crow, to ending with a glass of wine and hot tub, it is extraordinary.
