Stayed Mar 29, 2024For our first time visiting Orange Beach, I will say it was a nice vacation. Our accommodations at the Phoenix VII were great. The living space was well maintained, the condo kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom met all of our needs, and the grounds had a nice pool (could use new chairs), plenty of parking, and an easy walk to the beach. The surrounding area of Orange Beach was nice. Many restaurants and some shopping, but it lacked activities. I am used to guided kayaking tours through wetlands/small bodies of water, biking the beach or boardwalk, and the like. What Orange Beach offered was minimal (even Gulf Shores and Perdita Key didn't offer much) but rather catered to drinking or staying in your rented space.

Stayed Jun 11, 2023We chose this property because we liked the building, location, and that the condo had bunk beds for our kids. Overall, it was just as pictured. Nice furniture, clean, and had everything we needed. I saw in other reviews that there was a need for supplies, but they had enough essentials for a night or two and we always bring our own since that has always been expected in prior condos. Pans were not the best, but we didn’t cook much. The condo is definitely comparable to others we’ve stayed in thus we would book it again.

Stayed Apr 1, 2023It was a nice place. I just think things should be checked better before the next guest comes in. One of the chairs in the living room was broken and we couldn’t get tv in the bedroom for two nights just because someone had unplugged the cable box from the back of the tv. Also no instructions on how to work the two remotes.

Stayed Mar 25, 2023The Gulf view and access keeps this condo above water in a review. You will find nicer properties up and down the main strip, and at least a few of them will include more than one 35 cent roll of toilet paper or trash bag for the week. Plenty of bath towels fill the cupboard, but if you appreciate one to dry your entire body you’ll need to bring from home or start a diet yesterday. The property manager was quickly responsive to me asking if there was more toilet paper stored somewhere, but the answer was advice to read the rental agreement more carefully. Notification that the dryer was beyond clogged with lint was handled very quickly. Rather than pile on my complaints, I enjoyed the week with my family. To buoy ratings, small measures will go a long way: fix the wobbly chair so gramma doesn’t break her back, upgrade to better than trash pans and flatware, and toss in a couple coffee filters for newcomers who get in late. If you get time, give the bathroom floor a good mop and paint over the years of wear. We’ll be back to Orange Beach in a couple years. I won’t be checking in on these repairs.
