Rental Information for Unit 2305

Welcome to our “home away from home”, and thank you for choosing our place!

We want you to enjoy your stay as much as possible so please read the following information prior to your arrival:

Please check Snowshoe's website www.snowshoemtn.com for hours, openings, closures, health restrictions, and other relevant information.
Cell phone service is sporadic at Snowshoe regardless of the cell phone provider, and there is no guarantee that you will have service. Helpful hint: switch your phone to Wi-Fi calling before you get to the mountain if your phone has that feature.
For the address, use 1 Silver Creek Parkway, Snowshoe, WV for Waze, GPS, or Google maps. Look for Snow Creek Sports (big red building); turn there; and proceed to the Gate house. The 1 Silver Creek Rd address will NOT get you directly to the lodge. The actual lodge address is not recognized by Waze/Google Maps. Once you turn on Silver Creek RD, proceed past the ski shop for about a half mile to the entrance of the lodge. There will be a gate house. Stop there if the gate is down and give the guard your parking pass/info and room number #2305. If no one is manning the gate house, proceed directly to the entrance of the lodge and unload your vehicle (s). You DO NOT need to go to the front desk to get a key.
You are only allowed 2 parking spots for our condo. If you need to bring more than 2 cars, you will need to park in the extra lot across from the main parking entrance.
The keypad for your door will not be activated until your room is cleaned. I will provide you with the key code via email prior to your visit. The code will be deactivated 11AM on your check out day.
Check-in time is 5 pm.
Check-out time is 10 AM. There are no late checkouts!
To get to our unit, take the elevator to the third floor, and make a left out of the elevator.
No pets allowed. Plain and simple!
There is a full kitchen with dishes, utensils, cooking pots/pans etc. There are no grocery stores within close proximity. There is a small store on the first level of the building that has a selection of groceries, but I suggest buying beforehand. A Dollar General is located at the bottom of the mountain.
The Wi-Fi password, which is also the room phone number, is located on the modem.
Sheets, blankets, pillows and pillowcases are all provided and made ready for your arrival. Toilet paper, 2 garbage bags, and dishwasher detergent are provided; however, they are not replenished. Paper towels, coffee, coffee filters, food, condiments, shampoo and lotions are not provided. We have both a Keurig coffee maker and a regular coffee pot. Please bring additional toiletries/necessities as you see fit.
Silver Creek is privately owned and not a hotel. There is no daily housekeeping. Maid service is only provided prior to your arrival and at checkout. Please load the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it (or wash the dishes by hand) before you leave and leave all linens and towels in the condo. The condo will be set up for the number of people on your lease.
Unless you have a season pass or Ikon pass, you should purchase lift tickets in advance, as you may not be able to walk-up and purchase tickets the day of arrival. Day passes are limited so book in advance.
A season pass is good for both Snowshoe Mountain and Silver Creek Mountain. You must have a season pass or a lift ticket in order to ski or snowboard on the mountain. The free shuttle runs every 10 – 15 minutes and is located directly outside the main entrance of the building.
Please note different slopes open/close at different times/days/months for winter and summer. Snowshoe management may decide to close or open activities without notice. As mentioned above, please check www.snowshoemtn.com for updated information. We have guests that visit Snowshoe to enjoy other attractions or weddings in the area.
Our rooms are available all year even if Snowshoe activities are not. We do not offer refunds if the resort activities are not available.

Here’s a handful of tips:

There are several options for ski rentals for your stay at Silver Creek, with the two most convenient being either the ski rental shop located within Silver Creek or Snow Creek Sports on your way in.
In the morning before the crowds hit the slopes, we like to get on the free shuttle; ski Western Territory; and grab a bite to eat in the village or at Tuque's across the street from Western Territory. We then often come back and spend the rest of the day at the Creek. We love being able to go to the pool/hot tub then head to the Locker Room for some food, drinks and sports (all in the same building!).
Autumn Breeze Stables for both Winter and Summer is a great change of pace. It is just about a mile down the road. Skip is a great guide and my daughter loves riding Morgan. They offer horseback riding and sleigh rides.
The Snowmobile tour and Razor tour are a lot of fun!
In the summer there is hiking, mountain biking, Shavers Lake, Cass railroad, Greenbank Observatory, horse bike riding, Segway tours, Razor tours, scenic lift rides down to Shaver's Lake, Frisbee golf, Raven Golf Course, Concerts, Treasure on the Mountain, and world class mountain biking events.

A few restaurants we have enjoyed over the years include:

Old Spruce Brewery serves some of the best food and beer on the mountain and is only about a mile away. The free shuttle will drop you off at Snow Creek Sports (red building at entrance of Silver Creek) and you can walk across the parking lot to the brewery.
Appalachia Kitchen is great for a special night out or for yummy food. I recommend making a reservation by calling 304-572-2030. The free shuttle can drop you off there as well.
Locker Room Restaurant and Bar, located on the first floor of Silver Creek has long hours and a good place to go if you want to watch sporting events on big screen TVs.
