Not enough kitchen supplies, not hot water, chimney didn’t work, not enough toilet paper not extra blankets or pillows for person sleeping on couch.
Great location, but not quite walkable to ski slopes in early season. Dire need of updates for bath, kitchen, etc.
Space was cozy and up in the mountains…
The beds were terribly uncomfortable, they also had a strange smell. The dishes and pots/pans needed to be washed before use. It was also super cold and the fireplace was out of order!
Small place but works fine. Fireplace was out of order which was a bummer but pretty close to a trail for skiing over all not bad.
We loved the coziness of this unit and the location is almost perfect if you are a skier. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were as well. The unit was clean when we arrived so no complaints there. There’s things you should know about this unit. 3 of the 4 pots for cooking are unusable if you care at all about your exposure to Teflon as these pots are all scraped up and unusable. Please bring your own. Also, there were two pot lids for 4 pots so we had to be creative. These are little things that impact your ability to cook food and be comfortable. They cookware and utensils need a facelift to make this place perfect. Other than this, we have nothing but praise for this small and cozy unit on trail side.
Safe & comfortable environment centrally located, easy access to interesting towns & shopping!
Property great location but needs interior renovations
This apartment was very old, not updated in many years. The pictures on the website are nothing what the place looked like. It was a very dark dreary apartment with no sun what so ever able to come through the windows because of the deck above the apartment. I wouldn't stay here again even if it was free!
Can't really ask for more than that. And walking distance to slopes as advertised. Would stay again.
I'll preface my review by saying I contacted Vacasa customer service about 5x regarding the condition of this property (with photos) and my overall displeasure before writing this review. We were not able to come to an equitable refund for my stay. I'm sure Vacasa will reply to this review and say something along the lines, Sorry you weren't happy, but it's nonsense. Honestly, the owner should be embarrassed, and Vacasa should push the owner to upgrade the unit. If you are an adult who only wants a place to crash within walking distance of the slopes and doesn't care about condition of the inside, then this place is acceptable. However, if you are bringing children to ski/stay OR if you assume you will be getting more for your money a night (in winter $$$), then stay away. Let me recount all of the things with which we were dissatistied during our stay: 1) extra blankets for the pull out bed had crusty stains on them. The blankets were not neatly folded, nor did they smell fresh, two more dead giveaways that the blankets were not all washed prior to our stay. Gross! 2) Main bed linens had holes and stains (comforters and bed skirt). Although they seemed clean (?? who knows!), you would think the owner could afford new bedding. 3) Upon preheating the oven for dinner the first night, we started to smell something. Turns out there was a thin piece of wood in the oven and it was smoking! This could have easily started a fire. 4) Silverware had food encrusted on it. 5) Stained, old filthy couch throw pillows. The two couches themselves were old and ratty and not clean looking. Hesitant to let my kids lay on them. 6) Wooden kitchen chairs were splitting, screws loose, paint chipped. 7) Photos on Vacasa depict the unit in a much better condition than actuality. All furniture is old and in need of a re-do. 8) Pots and pans haven't been replaced in years. Chipping teflon/exposed aluminum. 9) The fridge /dishwasher WERE new, but the cabinets, counter, flooring, stove, etc are all old. Kitchen shelves all bowing/warped. Selection of utensils, glasses, mugs, plates not good at all. 10) We checked out a night early becasuse I couldn't stand being in the property any more. 11) On checkout, lockbox wouldn't close despite all my might. I felt bad that I couldn't safely stow the key, but they need a new lockbox or digital lock would be easier. This is the first negative experience I have ever had with any property from vacation rental sites. Buyer beware.
Family of four enjoyed a four night stay in the unit. The route to get to Sachem trail is a little tricky and required some scrambling down a small wooded hill (unless we missed as easier route). Plenty of firewood to use to warm up after a long day of skiing. Our only suggestion would be to replenish the inventory of kitchen utensils.
