Nestled amid the Rocky Mountains, this first-floor Snowstar condo invites you to experience outdoor fun at all times of the year. A bus to the slopes offers convenient access to premier ski trails in the wintertime. In the summer months, take a cruise around town via the bike path or venture to one of the area's many nearby hiking trails. Afterward, enjoy a relaxing soak in the complex's on-site hot tub.
Stretch out in the condo's main living area, where a gas fireplace adds allure and a smart TV provides entertainment. The den is a second living area and also boasts a fireplace, a TV, and a bar area with a wine fridge. Both living areas offer access to a balcony where you can breathe in the fresh mountain air amid the pine trees and take in the beautiful views. Perch at the two-person kitchen bar while the chef in your group prepares meals. When it's time to eat, gather around the dining table that seats six.

This place has some serious communication issues. They fail to let you know that there are multiple floor levels and yours can be in the 2nd or 3rd and you have no option to choose your floor. And there is no elevator. So having a lug all your luggage up three flights of stairs without being prepared is no help. Then we're told that we can check in early once they are done cleaning they will send us a message. Chances are most people are booking these because they are coming in from out of town and have nowhere else to go or to unload their luggage at. No one ever informed us that they were done cleaning and we had to wait several hours before we could check in which is 4:00 p.m. People need to check in a lot sooner than 4:00 p.m.. So we waited all this time because somebody was supposedly cleaning it but nobody ever did because when we got in the ceiling was leaking water and there was black mold in the tub the carpets were filthy.
The condo is very spacious as it had two sitting room areas. It worked out well for our family of 4. It was unfortunately very stuffy in the bedrooms and there was no way to get ventilation in the rooms unless we opened a window. However those windows open to the condo hallway which isn’t ideal (people talking as they pass by and also the crank window blocks part of the hallway when opened). We also found that many of the dishes in the cupboards were dirty so we had to run them through the dishwasher before using them. Also, the condo rental price really really ballooned when all the fees were added on. Personally I would rather see some of those junk fees added to the room rental price instead of tacking them on at the end.
I could not get the TV in one room to come on with any channels and it would not hook up with internet. Info in the condo said there were Cox Cable changers and there was Not. This seems to be a problem with this condo unit that has not been fixed. A previous review had said something similar.
We were able to walk to the chairlift as well as restaurants in town.
A good sized condo well located next to the River Run ski lift, with a well equipped kitchen and living areas. However, many of the details were not managed well. For starters, it is on the second floor not the first floor. The management company, Vacasa, sent the wrong entry code so we had to track it down. The hot tub key was not in the unit, and despite several calls Vacasa could not locate it so no hot tub for the week. Finally, our original booking listed a smart tv with cable, but upon arrival we found the cable box and remote gone, despite an instruction sheet still in the condo of how to access the cable tv. The TV could only access Netflix, so it was not a fully internet enabled TV. These details should be fixed!
This unit was nowhere near as nice as it looked on line. The two fireplaces didn't work until I was able to fix one. I could never get the second one to work. Only one of the TV's worked and we lost internet access two days before we left and it never came back on. One of the beds and headboard were poor, very shaky and loud, tough to sleep. And not sure it was a queen bed. Some of the dishes were dirty when we got there. Water was poured into the hand soap bottle to extend the life on the bottle. So, instead of spending $2.50 for a new bottle for a new guest they took the lazy route and filled it with water (I have pictures). The decor seemed old and needing an update. Since I try to be a half full kind of person, the location was great but I would not stay here again and I really have to question using Vacasa in the future. We left one day early due to being uncomfortable. Would happily take a partial refund. Thank you.
We needed a place to stay in a pinch as we were fortunate enough to have a couple extra days on the back end of our trip to Yellowstone. So we figured we would stop off in one of our favorite places…..Sun Valley. This property was tucked in perfectly between all of our favorite shops, restaurants, bars, and our favorite natural locations. The fly fishing in the river and the slopes at Sun Valley Lodge and Bald Mountain are just steps away from the front door. In fact you can see the gondolas going up and down the mountain as you walk out of the community. Very clean property and location. The owners and management company made the check in and check out process very smooth. Thank you and we will be back!!
