Coastal stay/steps to Driftwood Beach

Great location, very small unit for more than 2 people, could do with new mattress in bedroom, a memory foam would make a huge difference. The sofa bed was absolutely awful, so bad we had to put the mattress on the floor. The non stick frying pans were in desperate need of replacement, only 2 sharp knives. Front room rug needs to be taped down as it shifted very easily and could potentially cause a fall. The shower has no pressure at all but water was at least hot. Another lovely touch was the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided. A few upgrades and i would book this place every time we visit Jekyll Island

I wpuld have rated.higher but the.bed was harder than a rock.

Location relative to the beach was great and property was well equipped. The mattress was a little saggy and we didn't have access to the pool. .

The villa was clean and cozy.

The apartment location was good but the kitchen dinning are a little too small however the island is beautiful !!

Nice Condo -Convenient Location-Easy Access to Beach Area ! Very Convenient to Drift Wood Beach !

The location was very nice for quiet and walking to driftwood beach. This was for a wedding anniversary get away. Storage space was somewhat lacking although we made due. I am sorry I must be honest about our stay and point out a few things. The couch is very uncomfortable as are most that also serve as a pull-out bed. Also, when sitting on the couch the refrigerator blocks the bottom portion of the TV screen. The biggest issue we had was the refrigerator. The freezer worked fine but the bottom cold storage part was never down to temperature. We had milk go bad on the second day. It stayed in the upper 40s to 50 degrees. We kept perishable items in a cooler. The temp selector was already set on lowest temperature. Communications weren’t the best, example when we had a power outage. I ask if he knew how long the outage might be. I had no answer, so I went to GA power and got the answer myself. Please change your site if you haven’t already to advise that there is a 10.00 per day fee for parking on the island. I did see that information in the room but not on the site. (Not just for driving onto the island but everyday you are on the island). That was 70.00 I didn’t count on. Plus, even if you have a GA state park, yearly pass as we did, it does not cover Jekyll Island.We have had much worse experiences over 62 years of marriage & made the best of it.

Great communication with the hosts. I brought an issue and within minutes they responded and rectified the situation.

The host was welcoming and willing to do whatever they could to make our stay better.

I’m sorry to say the perfect dump The stairs leading to the condo carpeted extremely dirty the condo itself in dire need of an update Old couch with stains terrible cheap balcony furniture. Very uncomfortable bed The worse— the bathroom towels were old dingy and rough. Not a pleasant stay to say the least

Cute space, looks like pictures and as described. We could see a small glimpse of the beach from the bedroom window, in between buildings. The balcony is a parking and playground view. The beach area that is in walking distance from the property does not have water acceas, just sand acess. Driftwood beach is the closet beach with water acceas, it is walkabl (a little under a mile), however not our choice for beaching - (there's was people set up on driftwood and in the water). Food options on the island was plentiful, not the best or worst food I ever had. Overall island vibes was great and this was a great home base for our party of 4 two-night stay.

A cozy condo just a short walk from driftwood beach. Overall, had a great stay, the bathroom and bedroom were larger than expected and the balcony was nice.

First night we didn’t have power for several hours as there was a huge storm that knocked out half the island but we know that was no fault of the owner. The place was super nice and relaxing. The pool was amazing and the staff around the villas were super friendly.

The old carpet on the stairs is a terrible first impression. Too many things didn’t work. No stove just a hot plate. The place looked nothing like the pictures on the web site! The bedroom and bathroom were fine. If you have trouble with stairs this is not your place. We never did fine way to the beach! Wilda McWilliams Too small for comfort!
