Stayed Apr 4, 2026The property was lovely. Staff was great. The resort wasn’t staffed very well. They were short and it made the restaurant in the bar, not be open for a lot of the time and things close down. It could be due to later in the season and it was a lot farther than we anticipated from the main area other than that, it was wonderful perhaps earlier in the season it would be a little bit better. We would go back if that were the case.

Stayed Feb 10, 2026We did enjoy our stay. Overall the resort is great! Staff are amazing. We rented a golf cart and didn't mind the drive into San Pedro despite the rough patches and potholes in the roads. We just considered it part of the adventure. We just had a few issues within the unit. We had to have housekeeping help with padding the mattress. It is very hard and has no cushion left. My husband actually slept on a patio chair cushion on top of the mattress. Even with the padding provided (a 2nd mattress pad and a thin blanket... there was already one mattress pad on the bed) sleeping was pretty rough. The futon has also seen better days and is not comfortable to sit on. We used the other patio chair cushion on the futon when we were sitting down. Lastly the refrigerator is very loud. I noticed a previous review about the refrigerator as well and didn't think much about it, but it is definitely loud. With all that being said, we still enjoyed our stay immensely and absolutely fell in love with Belize. We will definitely be returning!

Stayed Feb 18, 2026Great location, the resort grounds are beautiful and the staff were all very accommodating. The room was cozy, AC worked great, could have used a full size coffee pot but other than that it was a fantastic stay.

Stayed Jan 30, 2026Sapphire Bay is a lovely, very well-maintained and secure resort. The staff are the most friendly and helpful people we have met. Everyone works hard to make your stay enjoyable. Eddy, in the office, booked excursions and our flights to Belize City for us. Wilbert, worked at the Tiki Bar and anywhere else he was needed. Felt like family!9c is a nice, clean, little unit. Everything two people need. Water and coffee was supplied. TV was appreciated as there were a few cooler nights. It's not ocean front which was actually good as we had some windy days. There are 3 pools that are spotless! We had a balcony that overlooks the pool and we enjoyed eating our breakfast in the sun each morning. The location is remote but we loved exploring the area and had great fun snorkeling, driving our cart to Secret Beach and up north to other resorts. San Pedro is only 40 minutes away so easy to explore and have meals there as well. Jason, the host, was responsive to any questions we had and supplied us with ample information prior to our visit. We are in our 60's and very active and the resort does have an older, but active clientele. We enjoyed meeting people as it's a very friendly community and many people stay long term or return each year. So, if you are looking for a quiet location as a home base to enjoy excursions, explore on a golf cart and meet great people 50 you will enjoy this location.

Stayed Dec 1, 2025Apartment is in good condition. The condos ammenities are OK.Beach is clean. But, 9 miles from San Pedro in terrible roads to get there make it really hard to enjoy. It takes 1.5 hours ro get there from San Pedro in a golf car.Jason and the staff do they best to make you feel at home..But, rhe fact is that this is way to far if you want to go explore the island.

Stayed Apr 15, 2025The condo is part of a small resort on the east side of Ambergris Key. The resort is some distance from San Pedro and it is best to center yourself in the local area unless you want to be regularly traveling rough roads by golf cart. The resort has 3 small pools, one of which is designated for adults only. Unfortunately the beach was loaded with sargassum at the time of our stay rendering it virtually unusable. We contented ourselves with the pool and travelled twice to Secret Beach, which is on the west side of the caye and about a 40 minute trip away. We also used the resort bikes daily and had good 75 minutes bike rides early in the morning before it got too hot. We liked walking the local area in the early evening. It is very safe for biking or walking. The staff at the resort are friendly and helpful and will quickly address any questions or concerns you may have There is a restaurant on site, but there are better places to eat a short golf cart ride away. There are a couple of stores about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the store where you can buy some basic groceries , beer , wine and other spirits. We purchased most of our groceries in San Pedro before coming out to the resort, but did pop into these stores to replenish our items.

Stayed Feb 27, 2025From the moment we booked until the moment we departed, Sapphire took care of our every need. From things as small as parking our golf cart for us to booking a last minute tour to delivering supplies to our room and arranging for massages on our balcony to delivering our food and drinks to the beach, they went above and beyond. I just tried to think of something we didn’t like and I cannot think of a single thing we did not love. I’d live here if I could. What’s the monthly rate? Shout out to Marcos and Lisandro who really put in the extra effort. Don’t sleep on the restaurant and tiki bar - great food and drink. Diving with White Sands dive shop and touring with Maya Viv were really the icing on the cake. Get a massage, do some snorkeling, go see a ruin and just enjoy. Sapphire is where you want to be.

Stayed Feb 13, 2025The unit and condo complex was great, the staff were superb, and the area within the complex safe, clean, and well taken care of. The location, however, proved to be very challenging. Road conditions were very poor, making it extremely hard to get into town and much longer than the 45 min advertised. It was more like 1.5 hours of hard driving with large construction trucks barreling down on us. We ended up staying close to the resort, which meant we were dependent on limited and pricey food options. The times we went snorkeling we just paid for a dive shop to come pick us up by boat. This place is suited best if you want to be very far from it all, and don’t mind shelling out US prices for meals.

Stayed Feb 7, 2025Loved that we were away from the hustle n bustle..the unit was on the edge of the often wonky wi-fi, but so what-we were there to unplug loved the staff, made so many new friends. When I read some of the comments of others, I was grateful for the comforts and also the wildness of Sapphire Beach. Tankless hot water, the nearby mercados with fruit, the help of the staff when I couldn't get the coffeemaker to work..I wished I could be blessed to live here year round..can't wait to return...

Stayed Dec 26, 2024We loved this location, further from crowds but enough restaurants and things to do to keep us busy and entertained. When we booked we didn’t realize that this rental also comes with daily cleaning and some of the best resort staff you’ll find. Was perfect for spending the day on their beach, using their kayaks and enjoying both the tiki bar and restaurant. Surrounding restaurants were great too! My boys ages 8 and 13 had a great time!

Stayed Aug 16, 2024Check-in was swift and staff were communicative throughout to ensure a stress free Check-in. Unit floors were a bit dirty. A part of the back patio rails were chirped. Nevertheless, the staff here were phenomenal, well knowledgeable about the area for things to do. Always ready to help and provide support when needed, thanks to Eiden Campos and lisandro Yascal for your great tips around the island. The resort is kinda remote and bushy, so the mosquitoes here are aggressive, so bring a lot of repellant.

Stayed Jul 6, 2024We spent 7 nights at Sapphire Beach Resort. The resort is about 30 minutes from Secret beach and about 45 minutes from town on a golf cart. Renting a golf cart is a must if you want to get around. If you are looking for a quiet location to sleep, then this is the perfect location. It is mosquito season in Belize, so I would recommend bringing lots of bug spray. The condo was very clean and fully stocked to cook a full meal. The condo has an a/c unit in the bedroom and living room. The bedroom was cozy with a comfortable bed. The host Jason communicated with us throughout making sure all our needs were met. The service was amazing! Lisandro and Aidan at the front desk (hopefully I spelled the names correctly), provided excellent customer service. They had great suggestions on where to go and eat daily. They set up all of our air/taxi transportation to and from the resort which was greatly helpful. This cozy condo felt like a home away from home. I would recommend Casita on the shores at Sapphire Beach Resort.
