Captiva Beachfront Condo 2322 | Direct Gulf Front | Pool, Tennis & Pickleball

This is a very clean, comfortable and well-appointed condo with lovely views of the beach and sea, as well as an osprey's nest as a bonus. It's ideally placed within Captiva and is very close to the lovely sandy beach - a two-minute walk to the boardwalk. It's well-decorated and spacious for two people. It was reasonably quiet for a resort location although there was some loud noise from the communal areas in the early mornings as families headed out for the day. The lack of golf cart was remedied by the host in time for our second day, which we appreciated. We also appreciated the 'starter pack' of kitchen items (although there was no coffee or tea which was an odd omission), and the beach towels, chais and umbrella. The screened-in balcony was great for watching the ospreys in the mornings and the sunsets in the evenings. All in all this is a lovely place for a few days' stay on Captiva.

Super easy check in and lovely villa right on the beach!

The rental management company was incredibly responsive. Beach access, pickleball and tennis on property were great diversions, and the sunset views from the unit memorable.

No one should have to spend that much time in this noisy envirnment. Nearly everything I mention is Fixable. This is the noisiest rental we have ever had! Everything makes noise. All the doors creak. The bathroom shower screams and the bathroom fan is very loud. The refridgerator door squeaks as well. Every door in every room of this rental creaks. The noise comes from everywhere. Upstairs you can hear them drag chairs across the floor, same with all units around you. Outside the windows in the hall you can hear every word people are saying. From crying, to kids playing, to people talking, to dragging the luggage down the hall. There is no escaping the noise in this rental. The walls appear to be paper-thin. There should be a Quite- Time. This might help keep the kids from running around the hallways at night. As of now, chilren are allowed to run wild at all hours of the night The kids have free reign up and down the halls and stirwells.The rental location was nice. Great view of the water. The TV in the living room had very few channels. The TV in the bedroom did not work at all. There is an ice maker in the freezer and it works. There are no ceiling fans or any kind of fans in this rental.The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans. Renters are to bring any food or spices needed. There was no literature with local information in the rental. People from out of town, depend on this kind of information. Same for the TV's. No manuals/instruction for the TV's. The thing is, we enjoyed ourselves here. The place just really needs some TLC. The owners owe it to renters to fix all these items. They certainly seem to think it is worth charging the amount they do. Now make it worth the money you charge, by fixing everything I have mentioned here.
