We totally enjoyed our stay. The place is just lovely and nicely decorated. The beach views are incredible with lots of sitting room inside & out. I gave 4 stars on cleanliness only because the bottom floor was sticky & very sandy but hey, it’s the beach. The remainder of the condo was immaculate.

We felt very welcome and at home at this beachfront condo! The host anticipated everything we might need (and more) for our stay. The condo was very clean, fresh and nicely decorated.

Nice updated place in good location. Only dissapointment was the scaffolding from repairs that obstructed the view most of the week. Would stay here again.

We loved the property, its location and being able to walk directly out to the beach. There was red tide which put a damper on beach activities but we still had a great time and would definitely rent there again!

For the past 15 years we have stayed from Ft Morgan to Destin and this has been our most favorite stay ever. Love the food trucks and quaintness of Mexico Beach. The condo was great and we loved the covered porch are. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful property, beautiful beach, beautiful community. There’s no question that Mexico Beach is back after the hurricane several years back. Nearly every property on the both sides of the highway are new from the ground up. Captain Roy’s is as nice as any property we’ve ever stayed at. 100 steps from the beautiful waters edge. No concerns if you’re contemplating a stay here.

Great overall

This is my second stay at this property, and I absolutely love it. The property is as amazing as described in the listing. Beautiful decor both inside and outside, and just steps from the breathtaking beach and views. I highly recommend this property and the wonderful host.

Beach was nice and quiet. Nice environments. Condo is beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed our stayed.

The property was beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed all three levels of outdoor spaces. I can’t think of anything that I would change. Killer Seafood across the street was amazing and there were several other food trucks within walking distance. It was our first trip to Mexico Beach and we look forward to going back.

Location is great, mattress on beds need upgrading and sheets too. Can’t beat location to food trucks. Overall it was fantastic.

The location was wonderful and has a great family atmosphere. Lots of fun was had and tons of memories were made. Captain Roy's was an absolute gem!

I needed some time for myself, and this was an excellent place to do it. Short drive to Port Saint Joe. There was nothing that I needed that the property did not have. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The property itself was fine, but I felt the owner should have informed all potential renters about the beach restoration project underway in February/March. The beach in front of the unit was full of construction vehicles with backup beepers operating 24/7. Not a good stay.

We had an amazing week at Captain Roy's ! The condo was spotless, comfortable and directly on the beach. Everything is new and is well stocked with everything you need! Mexico beach is so beautiful and peaceful, and Killer Seafood across the street is outstanding! Shipwreck Raw Bar is so good too! We can't wait to come back, thanks for a great winter getaway!

We have deemed this place our yearly home away from home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We honeymooned in Mexico Beach 49 years ago and had not been back since - lots of changes! The condo had all the necessities, and the location was perfect. Since we are both 70 the stairs were a bit of a challenge, but the amenities and the gorgeous views made up for that!

Loved the place. Just need taller chairs on the balcony.

Our stay at Captain Roy’s was wonderful. Pictures do not do it justice. The condo was clean and smelled lovely. We appreciate the extra beach chairs and beach toys for the kiddos. I do suggest bringing your own umbrella (ours was broken that was provided under the deck- but no one should rely on that). Base products were provided, but I recommend bringing extra just in case. We loved how this is not a crowded or touristy area and you are short steps from the beach. We are planning on coming back next year!

Perfect location and only a few steps to the beach!! Doesn’t get any better!

My wife and I stayed at this location for 5 nights. Overall we enjoyed our stay quite a bit. It was very easy to get to, very clean, and the check-in process was simple. Location wise it was like most of Mexico Beach, pretty quiet which is what we like about it. The kitchen appliances were nice, the living room furniture was comfortable, and the bedrooms were spacious. The primary bedroom shower was spacious and comfortable and the second full bath was very comfortable and a traditional shower/tub with glass doors. Both balcony's were very comfortable for two people, and could probably fit a third. They also use glass panels as the railing which is a very nice touch. We did run into a couple areas that could use improvement. The first was related to paper products and stocking the property. We were there for 5 days, and while there were two trash cans with bags in them, we only had one extra trash bag. There was only one roll of paper towels, no hand towels in the kitchen or bathrooms, and there was a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. Some of the rolls had been used a little, and there was only one extra roll for 3 bathrooms. Finally, and we recognize this is purely personal preference, but the beds were all a little more firm than we would prefer. This isn't really a negative in general, just was for us. Again, we recognize this is purely preference, but if you like a softer bed, these are not that.

Capt. Roy's was the bomb! We had been staying for the past 10 years in Dune Allen on 30-A, but never again. We love the much slower pace and less congestion of Mexico Beach. You almost have the beach to yourself (in August). Could not have had a condo any better. Everything was top notched.

Great place right on the beach!!! The sunsets were amazing and had the full moon right over the water . . Wonderful place . . I would stay there again

My family and I had the perfect beach getaway at this wonderful condo. You walk right out your door onto the white sandy beach, absolutely beautiful! The property was exactly as described and went well above my expectations. We will be back soon and will definitely recommend this condo to friends and family.
