We enjoyed our stay at this condo. Loved the natural light that poured in from the large windows in the family room. Kitchen was well stocked. Mattresses were comfortable. The only thing that would make this stay that much more enjoyable would be a few more blankets for the beds.
Our stay at this lovely condo couldn’t have better. Easy ski out to mountain, pool/spa, local pub, restaurant, small market, beautiful view from condo, comfortable beds, everything was very clean, kitchen had everything we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!
The condo was clean and cozy! The host communication was also very quick and kind. We would stay here again for sure!
Great 4 th floor unit. (2 elevators—slow! as one was out of service the whole week we were there) Beds comfy. Kitchen adequately stocked— foil and plastic wrap helpful because we forgot to buy that on the way up. Showers hot. Everything worked. Club Solitude pools and hot tubs an extra bonus. Short walk to the base lift area— shuttle to other area if needed This was our first time to Solitude so we didn’t realize it was an intermediate to advanced mountain with very little grooming of the slopes. There was not a “village” to speak of and nothing going on after 5pm. Just keep that in mind if you didn’t already know.
We enjoyed our stay! Perfect location to be able to walk to the lifts for skiing! Condo is comfortable and quiet!
The host provided very accurate and detailed instructions and information regarding the property. She also provided information regarding restaurants and things to do in the surrounding area. So pleasant to deal with! Hope to get back there and will definitely rent this property again.
First time using Vrbo and it was a great experience!! Barbara was quick to communicate with a couple questions we had prior to arrival. The unit was very clean and stocked. Honestly, she had everything except a carrot peeler and laundry soap, it was waaay more than we had expected :) We are a game family and she even had some games. One of the two laundry facilities had 3 washers and 4 dryers so next time we will pack a little differently (not pack as much ?) “Club Solitude” which is a minute walk from this unit was fun for the kids!! They did a movie some nights, s’mores by the fire, and other activities + a pool table, foosball, air hockey, and the heated pool with 2 hot tubs!! The village itself is cute but not a lot to do other than Club Solitude. The shops close very early and only 3 places to eat. The “store” is like a limited selection overpriced gas station. We stopped at Harmons grocery store on our drive from the airport because we read this in another review which was very helpful. There is also a Smiths which is about 20 minutes from the village. Solitude was not ideal for my beginner skier but the others enjoyed it! Ultimately we spent most days skiing at Brighton which is under 2 miles away — highly recommend planning a day there!!! Overall we would definitely book again!!!
We booked this for a ski vacation w our family (two adults, two children) and close accessibility to solitude. The condo itself is well situated and a quick walk to mountains. However, check in process was not great. Parking very confusing and key was not in lock box as indicated. I called the owner who (thankfully) was on property - but had she not been there vacationing herself, it would have been significant delays in getting into the condo. In addition, the parking pass was not in the condo and we never received for the entire trip. We placed a sign on our dashboard with our information hoping we would not be towed. The owner instructed us to speak w the building manager but their office was closed the entire time. Thankfully we were not towed, but it was an added (unnecessary) stress on the trip. In addition, bring extra blankets for the bed. There is only one small (thin) blanket on each bed and made temperature control difficult because you were either freezing or hot at night. Would strongly recommend the owner invest in better/warmer blankets or comforters for the beds. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked and quite impressive for a VRBO. We cooked meals/dinners there which helped save on cost and time while skiing. Definitely get groceries in SLC prior to coming. There are few restaurant options and the “grocery” is more like a gas station convenience store. There was only one family friendly option (pizza place) open in the village which was ok but overpriced. Note the attached bar (thirsty squirrel) is 21+. One other issue worth mentioning is that we would not recommend Solitude as a family friendly resort. This is obviously not the condo owners issue but we would never have booked the condo had we known how few beginner slopes there were at solitude. We found the entire resort poorly marked, not accurate in terms of signage (labeling runs blues that were clearly blacks and vice versa). Workers not particularly friendly or interested in helping. Ski school was average but we have skied all over the west with our children and found other resorts much better in terms of value/quality of instruction. Overall, the condo was adequate but would not return based on experience both on the mountain and overal check in/parking process.
Very nice, spacious & clean condo in a great location only feet from the slopes. Unlike some other VRBOs we've rented, this one was very well equipped to actually cook and serve meals - not just the bare essentials. Hosts provided a very helpful set of recommendations for getting there, getting food before heading up the canyon, good restaurants etc. Overall one of the best rental experiences we have had.
Our trip to Big Cottonwood Canyon. A beautiful place. Unfortunately I took ill and had to leave after one day of skiing. This is a great corner unit with a fully stocked kitchen. I will return.
Condo has been nicely upgraded. Great location within walking distance to lift. Bathrooms not upgraded but still very functional. We would stay here again.
Everything was perfect! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Ski-in Ski-out and great food in the village when we didn't feel like cooking.
Amazing experience for skiing, just 40 mins from the airport, ski in ski out, free parking and hot-tub.
Very clean, great location in Powderhorn building, easy walk to lifts. Especially liked the boot/glove dryers that were included.
