Bradenton Lakefront Vacation Rental Home with Heated Pool and Water Views

This turn of the century house was large and in a nice neighborhood. Being on a canal was also a plus. The pictures of the pool were not accurate. This was because the pool cage had been damaged in a hurricane last year and then torn down.In the title of the property it says heated swimming pool. In the fine print, it said that you had to pay to heat the water in the pool. I missed that. I was willing to pay to heat the water, but it would have increased the temperature of the water 1 to 2F in 24 hrs. So the description of the pool in my opinion was not accurate or complete. Having a pool was one of the main reasons we chose this property to stay at.In the master’s shower, we could not get the hot water to work. We called the facilities management company, but no one came to fix it or even gave us a call back to check if we got it working.The televisions were connected through a satellite. So each TV had 2-3 controllers to get a picture on the TV.There were no instructions on how to use them.I could not get the TV in the living room working. I called and reported it to the facilities management company. They said they would research it and get back to me. No one called me or a technician sent over to show me how to work.In the last two VRBO stays, I have had issues with properties that were managed by a third party. The issues were never resolved.

As a first time VRBO participant, I have to admit I was rather disappointed when I arrived at our property. I was traveling with my elderly mother, so there were some very specific items that I looked for in the house that we rented. One of them being a screened in enclosure over the pool area. Upon arrival we discovered they had taken down the enclosure and just put up a half fence With no gates just openings into the yard and down to the dock. All of the pictures that are posted online show a beautiful enclosed screened area. This was a huge disappointment. Once I started cooking in the house, which again is another reason that we rented a house and not a hotel so that we could have meals at the home The stove continue to pop a breaker. It took several days to get someone to come out and look at it only to tell me yes, it keeps popping the breaker, that we will need to contact an electrician. I was scheduled to leave the next morning at that point I didn’t care anymore. All of this meant that the food I had purchased to cook was going to waste. The washing machine also sounded like all of its bearings were gone, and it grind terribly every time you had to do a load of laundry. Other than those issues, the house was clean. It is not as bright and shiny as it looks in all the pictures it is dull worn down, well used, but it was clean. Beds were pretty comfortable however, the lack of response from the host would keep me from using this company again.

Very quiet neighborhood, house very cleaning, comfortable, i will recommend the house and will rent again..

We love this place I would like to back again

We love this place its very comfortable Only need the screen for mosquitos in the pool .But we understand beacuse the storm make damages on it.I know soon they will fix it.

The property is beautiful and the lake and the pool were definitely a plus. Unfortunately, MANY outlets and switches in the home did not work and I couldn’t figure out how to fix the issue, even with changing the light bulbs. The pool screen was torn and there were many mosquitos finding their way in at night. The grill looks to be used and not cleaned and there is a large black smoke stain on the wall above the grill. There is also a neighbor that has a daughter that frequently rang our doorbell and looked in our windows and also climbed on the back dock and got into the pool cage and was looking in the back glass doors. Even after speaking to the mother and the property manager it continued to happen. It’s unfortunate because we did enjoy the property aside from the issues but we don’t plan to return on future stays.

The house was perfect for a family vacation.

We arrived to find the pool green with algae and the outdoor furniture filthy. We called the next morning to report the problems. No one showed up to clean the pool until day 5 of our stay. It finally cleared the day before we checked out. The furniture was never cleaned despite our request. We were given a $100 refund, which was unsatisfactory. The reason that we chose the property was for the outdoor room and pool. Think twice before renting this property. The management is unacceptable.
