Boston Commons 202 - Three Bedroom, Two Bath Oceanfront Condo

We especially loved how small the building was, the private pool, and convenient access to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked, beds comfortable and the showers had great water pressure and no issues with staying hot. Allocated parking spot under the building is tricky to get into with an SUV so we ended up parking in one of the free spaces through the week without any issues. It would have been nice if an umbrella and some chairs were provided for the beach. We did find some beach toys in the unit. The listing said that there was a jetted tub and stereo system in the unit but there is not, this wasn’t a problem for us though. There also is no full length mirror which would have been nice. One thing to note is that the railing on the balcony does not seem very secure so we didn’t allow the kids out there much. We absolutely loved the family friendly location and the beach was not overly crowded. Check in/out was very easy, we liked that we didn’t have to pick up keys anywhere. We would definitely recommend and plan to stay again in the future.

We appreciated the short walk to the lightly populated family beach. The condo is nicely decorated and equipped with all the essentials. We ate out in Murrells Inlet 3 times and walked to a restaurant at the Surfside Pier. The AC did go out but that was fixed quickly.

Also, the heavy-footed neighbors in the condo above us. They stayed up past 1 and were up early the next morning. Unfortunately, this perfect location unit is one star away from total perfection!

Crews blocked parking and debris was everywhere. Pool dirty from debris. Scaffolding built that blocked view of ocean from balcony. Condo not really clean. Found moldy coffee left in coffee pot. Patio carpeting needs replacing. It is old and dirty. Water leakage from unit above condo, caused ceiling in the two bed guestroom to collapse and water on floor and into bedroom. Unable to use closet for several days.Have rented this condo on several occasions and never had any problems. This vacation was not very enjoyable. Although received a 10% refund this did not in any way alleviate my disappointment on this vacation. None of the other rental units were occupied all week due to the construction. No sure why Unit 202 was rented due to the construction.Had problems with the elevator on and off during the entire stay. There were times during the day that the elevator was not working at all, including the evening we arrived. Had to leave our bags, etc. in the car until the next day as I am 76 years old and unable to go up and down stairs very well due to severe knee problems. My knee problems are the reason I always try to rent the condo at Boston Commons for the convenience of the elevator.I will rent again but will make sure that the condo is ready for renters and that the complex is not undergoing renovations which should have been taken care of in the off season.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful condo, but of you're looking for a peaceful relaxing place this is not it. I know it's not the owners fault that they are below a 6 bedroom condo that you can hear everything, but it ruined our vacation. Said something to the people above about the noise because management said that's not their property and they are sorry, but it didn't matter. The next thing was parking very, very tight. If you have a truck do not think you're going to fit in the assigned parking spot. As for the condo itself very nice, perfect location, but again if you want to not get up at 4a.m. do not stay here.

We do a lot of cooking and appreciate the plentiful cooking and baking pots, pans, casserole dishes, and utensils. The view is amazing and the balcony comfortable. Garden City Realty is great to work with.
