Best location in Tahoe Donner for a wonderful mountain getaway. Upper floor (great sun!), high ceilings, clean and quite condo that has 2 bedrooms and a “den” [acts like a bedroom] (5 total beds), 2 full baths, well-appointed kitchen, and a great living room/dining room area.

This is our personal vacation home. We love comfort, and we've upgraded many features. We invite guests to enjoy what we enjoy. This is not an investment property with cheap furniture and basic amenities. Welcome to our home!

New 240v outlet in garage for you to charge your electric vehicle. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN CHARGING CABLE. This feature is FREE to you as I experiment with its usage.

SUMMER NOTE: Air conditioning cools the living room and kitchen directly and other rooms indirectly. Samsung mini split with wireless remote. “Samsung's exclusive WindFree™* cooling technology provides users with a cool indoor climate without the discomfort of direct cold airflow. It’s an advantage no other system can match.” THIS UNIT ALSO PROVIDES ADDITIONAL HEAT IN THE WINTER, IF YOU CHOOSE.

Sleeps 6 comfortably. Eastern King bed in main bedroom with en suite main bathroom. An Eastern King bed is slightly wider and slightly shorter than a California King. Kind of like us. The mattress is the expensive, all-natural-latex, Latex Classic from European Sleepworks in Berkeley. The mattress is very firm and extremely comfortable. There are four (4) other firm, Twin mattress beds, two of them brand new in December, 2024.

PARKING: No more than two (2) cars! One car in the garage, which can accommodate a large SUV or smaller. Examples: Ford Explorer, Toyota RAV4, Toyota Highlander, Lexus RX, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Honda Pilot, and more. The garage will not take a super large SUV or truck (e.g., Chevy Suburban, Chevy Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade, etc.). The second (2nd) car can park on the outdoor pad, opposite from the garage. The outdoor parking pad will accommodate any sized vehicle.

Free WiFi. Super fast 200Mbps download speed, driven by a Netgear Nighthawk WiFi 7 (RS600) Router and Netgear Nighthawk CM2500 High-Speed Cable Modem. Simultaneous dual band 5GHz and 2.4GHz.

Front door features an electronic keyless deadbolt, so you will receive a UNIQUE CODE that everyone in your party can use during your vacation stay. No need to worry about keys!

Enjoy limitless hot water! We feature a Rinnai 199,000 BTU tankless water heater. Your family can run both showers at the same time. Forever.

USB-A and USB-C outlets in bedrooms and the kitchen to charge your mobile devices. Please use our iPhone cables, but leave them plugged in when you leave.

BEST LOCATION in Tahoe Donner. You are literally across the street from the Trout Creek Recreation Center. Also across the street from Z Marketplace (walk to pick up your sandwiches, soda, wine, beer and sundries). In the winter, it's a brief walk to the popular snowplay area.

WINTER NOTE: Our condo helps you get to the slopes first in the morning. Get the best groomed runs to yourself. This condo is located on Northwoods Blvd. Because Northwoods is the main street of Tahoe Donner, this road gets plowed first. That makes it easier for our contracted al with the overnight snow. You get to the slopes first!

The property also features a garage and mostly-level driveway parking for additional cars, as well as a washer and dryer. The unit features internet, cable TV and land-line telephone. DVDs, games and puzzles are available for your down time.

Coffee You choose your style. We have: 1) Keurig K-cup machine (bring your favorite pods); 2) one-cup drip cone with paper filters; 3) a Mr. Coffee Machine for the group; and 4) a French Press.

The area is crisscrossed with hiking and biking trails, and offers special events all year long. The Lodge at Tahoe Donner is one of the best restaurants in Truckee.

You are centrally located to everything Truckee has to offer: nice dining, several gorgeous golf courses, shopping, and special events. Donner Lake is just four miles, all major ski areas are just 15 miles (Palisades Tahoe [formerly Squaw Valley & Alpine], Northstar, Boreal, Sugar Bowl); and Lake Tahoe is just 20 miles away.

NOTE: One level means you are more comfortable. This unit is on a single level, on the upper floor. The single level means that heat is evenly distributed across all the rooms. Consider that in an upstairs-downstairs configuration common to other condos and town-homes, the upstair bedrooms can get hot while the downstairs rooms are cold. It's simply physics: hot air rises. Choose comfort.

Please be aware that we do not allow more than 6 people to sleep at this vacation home. That's because we want to maintain this getaway as first-class. We don't want it over-used and beaten-up. So you get a well-appointed, well-maintained vacation home. NO PARTIES, EVENTS, MEALS or ACTIVITIES OF ANY KIND with anyone beyond those included in the original rental agreement. Violation of this restriction could mean immediate loss of use of the property without refunds of any kind.

OTHER NO's - NO PETS, NO SMOKING OF ANYTHING, NO VAPING, NO GRILLING. These no's apply to inside the condo and on the front and rear decks. Thank you for your support of safety and neighbor consideration.

If you need to rent baby equipment, I recommend BabyQuip. They will deliver, setup and pickup a wide variety of items, such as cribs, strollers, child carrier backpacks and more.

Altitude: You will be at 6,500 feet. That's almost 1.25 miles into the air from sea level. At sea level, oxygen in the air is 20.9%. At 6,500 feet, oxygen is only 16.3% or -22% versus sea level. Take it easy your first day. You'll mostly acclimatize in 1-3 days.

For 2026, this property has six (6) Short-Term Tenant Cards that provide limited access to Tahoe Donner's private amenities. Note that Tahoe Donner's public amenities are always open to everyone.

Each card grants one individual (ages 3+) access to private amenities per day, with Daily Access Fees required for all visits (see fees below). Babies and toddlers ages 0-2 do not require a card nor an access fee.

Short-Term Tenant Cards are welcome at the private amenities approximately 332 days a year. To prioritize member access during the holidays, Short-Term Tenant Card access will be blacked out on the following dates in 2026:

    We had an excellent and comfortable stay at this home! The condition of the property was meticulous, and it was clear the hosts take great pride in maintaining a welcoming space.The location is amazing—it was so convenient to have everything we needed right nearby, including gas stations, groceries, and great restaurants. It made our trip much more relaxing to have such easy access to the essentials.Our host was incredibly friendly and gracious, ensuring we had everything we needed.     We love the location. The house was clean and organized. Cary is so thoughtful to put reading glasses, different kind of shampoos and conditioners, lotion, wipes for kids in each bathroom. He was very detail in labeling stuffs in the house which makes so easy to put things back. I will definitely come back to stay. Highly recommended!

    We had a wonderful stay at Cary’s house. Very homey, and perfect for a family vacation. Plenty of games and DVDs for the whole family to enjoy. Great location - right at the heart of Tahoe Donner, and very convenient to get to Palisades every day. Cary is a very attentive, thoughtful, and thorough host. We felt well taken care of before we even stepped foot in this home!

    This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Truckee. It will incredibly clean, has a good location and the level 2 ev charger is great whether you drive an EV or plugin hybrid.

    This is certainly one of the best properties I have stayed at! The property itself is a great deal for the space and location. It’s immaculately clean while also feeling lived in. The amenities are unparalleled (unlimited hot water, AC, garage space, humidifier, more charging cables than you can imagine, and the list goes on and on).I need to take a moment to highlight the beds —they're extremely comfy. I immediately miss my bed when I travel, but not this time. Definitely the best part of the stay for me!Cary is a fantastic host who will stop at nothing to ensure you have the best stay possible. Super responsive and all around great guy.10/10 would stay here again. If you’re a fan of Tahoe/Truckee, look no further than here!

    This is your home away from home!A nice spacious condo in a great location! The home is filled with all the amenities you’ll need and you’ll sleep comfortably. We reserved this condo for a family weekend getaway after our daughter’s wedding.We had an amazing time, rode bikes on the Truckee River Legacy Trail and spent time at Donner Memorial State Park on the lake paddle boarding. Cary is an amazing host who provided detailed information about the property and surrounding areas prior to our stay. We arrived to a bottle of wine, chocolates and he also surprised us with the option for an extended stay. We’re blessed! Thank you Cary and Laura for sharing your home. We’ll be back!
