The number one amenity on the mountain, snow, snow and more snow. Pow Mow averages 500 inches of annual snowfall. Wait times in line are practically non-existent as the resort limits ticket sales to 1,500 per day. Powder Mountain is now the largest ski area in the United States, with 8,464 acres! With the recent addition of two lifts (Mary's and Village), you have access to a wide area of beginner and intermediate skiing, as well as easier access to the Cobabe Canyon area. Book this unit today... you will be so happy you did and so will your family and friends. You may not want to ski anywhere else, once you experience Powder Mountain!
New to Powder Mountain We highly suggest you meet at the main lodge (by the Yurt) about 9:30AM for a free orientation tour (tailored to your ski level). Hang out in the Yurt for a few minutes, to get coffee, trail maps, meet instructors, and warm up by the fire.
It took me 5 years to find all of the hidden treasures around Pow Mow! It now takes us 3 days to do every run (some with no names!) we love just once!!
The views from this condo were spectacular! Every evening we had a breathtaking display of the sun setting over the mountains. The accommodations were comfortable and cozy, which was perfect after a long day of skiing.
Great views and close to the hidden lake lift. Great sunset view.
Great Location. Easy Ski in and Ski out. Beautiful sunsets. The pool and hot tub was not working during our stay but you come to Powder Mountain for the snow. The location is perfect.
Very comfortable place to stay with plenty of cooking/baking pans and utensils. Paul and Janet were attentive, supportive, friendly and always available. The views from the condo we stayed in were amazing - from both the living room and the master bedroom. I'll see if I can figure out how to attach a few of the dozens of photos I took, I just couldn't stop :) The best possible location! Take the Hidden Lake lift up to the top and you are practically home (great commute). You'll barely have to carry your skis. When the snow covered the parking lot we didn't have to carry our skis at all. A suggestion: rent your skis from the rental place inside the rec center - especially if you are without a car, it's kind of a hike to the official Powder Mountain ski rental spot at the Timberline Lodge. I checked in as we were leaving and found out that the small ski rental shop at Powder Lake Village is associated with a much larger ski rental shop in Eden, so plenty of high quality, well-maintained stock.
Overall our experience renting this condo was very good. The location is excellent, just up the hill from the main Timberline lodge. And if you’re willing to boot pack 5 min, you can walk to the top of Hidden Lake lift. The view of the valley is spectacular off the balcony and a perfect way to end the ski day. Also, the condo uses radiant floor heating, which is wonderful and left our ski boots wonderfully warm. The living room and dining room are spacious and well-appointed, and easily fit the 3 of us and our gear. It could handle probably 4-6 people. Communication and info ahead of the trip was really helpful and appreciated. Loved having the hot tub towels ready and waiting in the unit. It’s a short walk to the main building / Rec center, but not bad. Cell coverage at the condo was excellent and 5G. Cons: The bedrooms handle 3-4 adults, and really the non-master works best for kids (2 twin beds). Also, the non-master bedroom feels a bit dated in bed frame, furniture and sheeting. Comfortable, but could be improved. Also, connecting electronics to outlets is inconvenient because of their location relative to furniture. Lighting is also low in bedrooms. The kitchen is functional, but the pans, dishes, cooking knives and cutting boards all should be updated. Unit has a dishwasher, which is fantastic. But a drying rack would help for pots and pans. Stovetop is dated and doesn’t have good venting. Be prepared to open some windows when cooking. Having two full baths is really nice. The shower/toilet is tight, but they work. Again, dated look but clean and functional. The sink is outside the shower/toilet area, which is ok but counter space is a bit limited. Overall: I’d stay here again. The location and price make this a very good value. And now knowing the condo better, we’ll be prepared. With other, newer properties emerging on the mountain, this condo represents a nice option. I’d just ask that it get a little updating in some details to make it even better.
The Powder Mountain staff, as well as the Powder Ridge resort staff, are all super nice and helpful. The condo is a great location, but if you don't have your own vehicle with, you just can't do the night skiing at the sundown lift.
Great location, clean and accurate listing. great ski in and out. big issue is not attached to main resort and no shuttle.
Overall good experience. Snow was amazing! Ceilings are thin so if you have a noisy family renting above you, you might hear it.
If you want a beautiful view of powder mountain and a comfy place with a short walk to the slopes this is the place for you. Hidden lake lift takes you right back up to the resort after a day on the slopes. Indoor hot tub and pool was fantastic. Staff and residents were helpful and friendly. Great place for families or a group who wants to hit the slopes. Owner was very friendly and checked to make sure we could make it down the mountain. DO NOT DRIVE HERE WITH OUT AWD OR 4WD if its winter. You will either be stranded or not make it up the mountain. This would probably be beautiful in the summer for hiking.
If you are looking for a ski in-ski out vacation then this is the place for you. The condo has everything you will need for a great ski vacation. The reason I gave this place 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is because of minor things that were important to me, but may not be important to you. First the place is dated, which was fine but one of the bathroom sinks did not drain well, and the hot water did not last as long as I thought it would. Second the internet access is spotty but I understand that is being fixed this summer with a new high speed line. Third, the clubhouse locker rooms were a bit dingy. But most importantly, this place has location in spades!! If you are looking for a place to get you on the POW in as few steps as possible, this is the place. I would happily stay again.
