Bernard's Landing Bliss! - Breathtaking Views & Modern Updates

This was the perfect 2 day escape from the chaos of the last year and a half. The property is peaceful and quiet in the Fall with a tranquil view of the lake…I never wanted to leave our deck. The unit is very clean and beautifully decorated. Chris was an awesome communicator, ready with suggestions and available for any questions. Just wish we would have planned to stay longer!

From the minute we arrived until the (sad) minute we left, it was perfect. The condo is ideally suited for those who desire to relax someplace with beautiful views (the pictures don’t do it justice!) and have access to lots of activities and opportunities it helps that Chris is a wonderful host!

The condo was exactly as described. It had a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Our host sent us the check-in information plus instructions how everything in the condo works.

the front door has a whistle like you are in a windstorm very noisy. King size bed is not comfortable at all. I don't know if there was a guest or a resident upstairs, but they stamped around and it was noisy like big foot was upstairs. Spend money on a new mattress and fix the front door.

This is the 3rd year that my husband and I have stayed at this condo. We love it here and are already planning our return!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at this Condo. The owner made sure we knew everything about his unit before we even got there by sending a well detailed pamphlet of all the information we could need about the check in process, the amenities, and the check out process. He followed up with a text message the day before our arrival to make sure we had no questions and that gave us an even easier way to communicate if needed. The weekend was relaxing and the view could not be beat. We saw some truly gorgeous sunsets. If I find my way back to Smith Mountain Lake and need a place to stay I will not hesitate to try to book this condo again.

Thank you for a great stay. Clean, attractive decor, and well appointed. Good instructions on how to use everything. Clean balcony and balcony furniture in good shape, which has not always been our experience at Bernard's. Very responsive owner!Suggestion: Full length mirror, another dish towel, and replace can opener. Also would have loved a teapot.

Perfect condo for 2 nights for 2 people. It was as advertised, clean and well equipped. It was comfortable and had great views of the lake.

Enjoyed our stay here. Condo had everything we needed, fully stocked, comfortable furniture, and a wonderful view. My family lives 10 minutes from here so this made it convenient to stay here! We Will definitely stay again in the future.

Needed an affordable place for a bass tourney on SML with docking access for the boat. I wasn't expecting this great of a place; but was pleasantly surprised especially the spectacular views of the mountains with the lake in the foreground. Interior was furnished with comfortable furniture.

Modern and clean property with stunning views of SML! Relaxing trip to beautiful Smith Mountain Lake State Park for mountain biking. Looking forward to returning again and this specific property will be at the top of my list!

I loved it here. It was clean, they ensured everything a visitor needed was there, and we didn’t leave the room much; one trip to the store for eggs. I love to cook, so the huge cutting board was a highlight for me. I can’t wait to return during the warmer seasons.

Celebrated our first anniversary and it was wonderful.

Perfect, one bedroom condo, for my husband and I to relax and recharge in while visiting family in the area. The place had everything we needed and was a great price! Would definitely stay here again next time we are in town. Thanks Chris! The Fosters

Very nice facility, quiet neighborhood. The morning sun rise was spectacular. The condo was very well equiped and comfortable. I would recommend that any future visitors to this unit bring a pair of sturdy shower shoes. For the stone floor is hard on the feet. You'll thank me for it.

We are seniors who enjoyed our stay; the owner and property manager were obviously top notch. We would definitely return to this unit.

Short stay

We really enjoyed the place. Very clean, great location, and comfortable. Everything a family needs to enjoy their time at SML. I wish I had time to play pickleball but next time. Host was very realiable and check in was very easy. The place is easy to find and parking was no problem. Will have to book again in the summer to take advantage of other ammenities.

A bit of a snafoo at check in with our personal kayak but all was well and handled quick and professionally by our host. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable. We don’t want for anything as the kitchen is stocked and towels and tolietries were provided. Can’t beat the view !

The condo was exactly as advertised, and had some pleasant surprises; for example, the bed was so comfortable that I tried to see what kind of mattress it was so I could buy one for myself. Our sleep was actual bliss, just like the listing says! Balcony was much larger than expected, with seating for 6. Kitchen, bathroom, living room all perfect for our needs and lacked nothing. We loved having a keycode for the electronic lock - no extra key to have to carry around. Parking was directly in front of our door, we had a great view of the lake, and the surroundings were quiet and peaceful. We were at Bernard's Landing for my niece's wedding, and the venue (the clubhouse) was outstanding. Rehearsal dinner was at Napoli By The Lake, also wonderful. Basically everything was excellent and I spent all 4 days wishing we owned a condo here so we could spend more time at this beautiful place. We would absolutely stay here again, and would rent this specific condo again without hesitation. 10 out of 10, highly recommend :)

It was quite cramped inside - the picture angles make it look bigger than it is - and communication was not great, but otherwise fine.

My husband and I enjoyed our time here. The views are just beautiful! The unit was very clean and comfortable. I appreciate all of the information that Chris provided before our visit. A lovely place!

We never received address of our stay by email there was a mix up once we got there. Also office was closed at 4:45pm. It should be open to all guest if arriving later

Trailered our boat from PA for a weekend getaway. The location was beautiful and so was the condo. Dinner at Napolis a short walk away, was delicious. Easy boat ramp access and slip. We’ll be back
