Beautiful Views from Sailors Paradise

Couldn't figure out how to make the fridge work. Other than that, it was wonderful. Beautiful view from the back deck. Good restaurant and ice cream nearby. Really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great long weekend at Sailors Paradise! The beach was beautiful and the views were lovely...

Listing is accurate with location and great views, host communicated well. Cleanliness below expectation. communication was bad once they told us we had to mandatory evacuate due to the incoming “hurricane” at which point their was no communication, they failed to adjust the check out date due to the mandatory evacuation cause a loss of refundable monies. Definitely not a usual circumstance but could have been handled better. Charged a substantial cleaning fee but was not in great condition when we arrived.

The condo was welcoming and accommodating. We welcomed our time at the pleasant pool and enjoyed the water. Close to main attractions We would stay there again. Morning we left we had a dead battery and one of the folks there got up and jumped our car off. What a Godsend and blessing. People living there are awesome.

Great location. Overall cleanliness was 5 stars. Only complaint I have was we had 2 rolls of toilet paper, one was half used, so it just seemed like they forgot to restock them. Property manager was really nice and responded quickly to any questions. Check in and check out was easy and was a smooth process. Pool was clean and maintained well. Definitely recommend.

PROS: The apartment was very clean and modern. It had a great view and very close to the beach. Having the option of a pool is very nice. The balcony was a great in the evenings to enjoy the view have a quiet drink. The staff who run the apt was very attentive and quick to respond to our needs.CONS: There are steep sets of stairs to the apartment so if you have knees issues, not a good place. The kitchen has a the bare minimum for cooking. No dish cloths or towels are provided. There is no washer/dryer in the apt so make sure you have quarters for the condo laundromat. Shower and water pressure are very, very low. OVERALL: We enjoyed staying there for our vacation. It was by far the cleanest, most modern place we have stayed in our three trips to OBX over the years. It is much quieter and slower paced than the Kittyhawk / Kill Devil Hills area so if you are looking for a laid back are with great restaurants and less crowded beaches, this is a good place to stay.

The parking should be assigned. We wished there had been an elevator.

We decided to book this property after reading the large number of positive reviews. Sure enough, the condo was wonderful in all respects. The views of the canal and out to the bay through the large windows in the living area and from the lovely balcony were so lovely. There was plenty of parking right in front of the property. The public beach a short walk across Rt. 12 was very clean and not at all crowded. We loved that the area was peaceful and not crowded while there were plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away. My husband enjoyed two days of fishing from the pier where everything he needed was provided. Our daughter, husband, and two girls under 6 stayed in a nearby house on the ocean side . We found plenty of activities that we enjoyed at times together and at others seperately. The girls had a great time on the beach, at Studio 12 making pottery, and visiting the Aquarium about 45 minutes away. The six days went by too fast, and we're hoping to return for a longer time next year, ideally to the same condo.

Very comfortable unit, facing the water, and beautiful sunsets! Great communication from the owner. We only stayed one night but loved the Avon area and would return again. We also enjoyed the PoHouse restaurant right next door.

Fabulous location. Apartment has everything you need for your stay. Highly recommend!

Condo was as expected. However lost cell phone and internet for about 12 hours due to a cut cable near Oregon inlet. The next day power went out for about 6 or 7 hours. Not the owner’s fault. The tv was not cable and I had to purchase an App to watch anything. There should have been cable to make it easier to find local tv and football on the Sunday we arrived. We enjoyed our time otherwise.

Conveniently, centrally located. Some small issues in the unit but very clean.

Nice location. Views from the property are beautiful. Public beach access right across the street from The laundry room is convenient and not ridiculously priced to do your laundry if you choose.

Clean, comfortable, adequate

We had a very nice time. The condo is very nice. Beautiful appliances, clean all around. The sliding door in the living room does not open easily. I ended up using the bedroom door. The large window blind was not operational and I feel that drapes on the sliding door would help the overall temperature in the condo. When we returned each day the room was very warm into the evening and I feel it was due to the lack of a drape. Thank you for a lovely time
