Beautiful Oceanfront Penthouse in North Mission Beach

Super awesome place ! ! All of our family loved it , kids had the best time , you can literally watch them from the kitchen window if you want , view was amazing, balcony relaxing is the best here ! What we liked is that it’s just far enough from the Belmont park parking lot where it’s not over crowded on the beach , this whole “busy” weekend with it being Mother’s Day and all , beach looked empty for the most part and that was really cool! The landlords here are very nice as well! Complete private stairway entry , just get ready for “leg day” coming up and down those stairs ! We can’t really find anything to complain about , it’s a beautiful beach house and everything worked properly inside the house as well ! We will most definitely stay here again with our family !

Great patio and ocean view. Nice accommodations. The description says two small parking spaces. The spaces are one in front of another with narrow opening. Do not attempt to park anything larger than a very small car or very small crossover. We had to return or rental car for a smaller one after arrival.

Awesome stay…a little care package would go along way…couple water bottles, and a few snacks at most late asCheck in would make a“wow” factor…..little touches for a pricey place. Beds top notch for a vacation rental to have a showers in all rhe rooms amazing. View amazing and the host was so responsive.

Great place

This property was absolutely perfect for my family of four. My two teens loved having their own bedroom/bathrooms. The location is ideal with many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Pretty much anything else you might want to do-the zoo, museums, etc are about a 15 minute drive away. Walking the boardwalk right in front of the property became our nightly routine. The beach view cannot be beat and the access to it is a short walk down the alley. The property itself is well appointed. All the amenities of home from the pots and pans, grilling utensils, even spices. K cups and an assortment of teas were ready for us! There are beach towels, sand toys, beach chairs, boogie boards, board games, puzzles, books- everything was thoughtfully added. I will address the parking. I had read that it was a tight spot so we considered that when choosing our rental. We had a medium sized SUV and it was tight but fit. Pull in your mirrors and ignore all the tones and beeping that the car will do. Parking is a premium in this area so we were very thankful to have a gated little spot that was always waiting for us. There is no AC, but the constant breeze always cooled the rooms when we opened the doors in the evening. And who doesn’t love hearing the surf?! This property gets 5 stars!

Great place for a beach stay. Walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. Ubered to all attractions to avoid parking hastles at tourist attractions.

The condo was great. Location great. View awesome. The parking space is extremely narrow. Our mid-sized SUV barely fit with lots of maneuvering. The parking lots near Belmont Park did not allow overnight parking. So be forewarned.

Great place to stay and the views are awesome! Everything was clean and the place was very accommodating for my family.

Great location. Enjoyed visiting with adult friends on patio while watching the beach. Everything we needed for meal prep. Plenty space and bathrooms for 6 senior women. Stairs to condo may be a problem if someone had difficulties.

We had a great time again. We have stayed here twice now. We definitely missed the table on the patio for sunset dinner but we enjoyed the patio still. Location is so great for Belmont which we go to every night for rides etc. We had everything we needed besides tupperware. Not sure why guests take those or ruin them for other people (I'm a host in AZ) so that was frustrating but we love staying here and will be back again in two years

Great location with direct access to the beach. Great views from the kitchen window and the outside deck. Bedrooms are comfortable and updated as are bathrooms. Kitchen is fairly well stocked. Easy check-in and very responsive host. Lots of beach towels, boogie boards, sand toys. Living/dining area feels tired and needs deep cleaning and a refresh. Ditto the deck furnishings. Available parking spot is very tight. A few small improvements would go a long way to making this a topnotch spot!

We had a good time. Felt that the property was clean and taken care of. Agree with some of the reviews with regards to the beds being a little bit uncomfortable but for the most part a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. We like the third floor, the first floor would have no privacy and we were happy with the location. You will have to drag some luggage upstairs but for us it wasn't that big of a deal. Couldn't get any more convenient with regards to beach location. Public transportation was smooth from this location every place we went. Would be happy to stay here again.

There is no patio. There is a balcony that sits about 6. There is propane fire pit thingy that did not work. The balcony is dirty. There is a very small BBQ that clearly has not been cleaned for years. There was zero propane. On day 3 the landlord messaged me that she was dropping off a propane tank at the front door. I dragged it up 3 flights of stairs and hooked it up myself. The entry to the house is in the back ally. You CAN NOT get the beach through the front of the house. You walk down the 3 flights of stairs down the back ally and walk a couple houses down to an outlet to the board walk. The washer sounds like it has boulders. There was also plenty of mold in the rubber gaskets we cleaned. The back room has a closet shower. Not too big of deal but it is an awkward transition to get into it as the door was an after thought. But at least that back shower doesn’t smell like vomit and the dirty dish rag like the middle shower does. We wore flip flops in the shower as the floor was slimed. The narrow parking spot that is advertised should not be advertised as a parking spot. The property has a full size 2 car garage full of trash. You have to park on the street and set your alarm to go move your car every morning to avoid an 85 ticket. There was dog crap all over the bottom patio and hundreds of old dog toys piled up. There is no way to lock the entry way and 300 worth of stuff got stolen. Just bad. Not as advertised. Pics of dog crap attached.

Overall it was just ok. Pros:Location was excellent for beach and Mission Point activitiesBalcony area was excellent!! 5 stars! Relaxing, wonderful with the fire pit, great view of the beach and dolphins swimming by.The number of beds/baths were perfect for our groupThe owner was quick to respond and accomodating with any issues we had during our stayChairs, boogie boards and more were available for the kids to use. They enjoyed them very muchCons:Tennants below had dog(s) and the smell of urine and feces was ripe on certain days when we were out on the balcony, or walking up the stairs to access our rooms.There are stairs - not that this is horrible, just know that all luggage will have to be take up the stairsNo AC - although it was relatively cool while we were there, it was muggy a night or two, and an AC unit would have helped with the humidityPictures are not recent - the pictures of the unit are beautiful, but in perspn it obviously has signs of wear and tear. Not a terrible thing - but be aware it is not newly refurbishedThird bedroom bathroom is very small, and the shower is awkward. We ended up using only the first two bathrooms the entire week Parking - might as well say there is NO parking at this house. It was only big enough for us to back in our vehicle, but not to open the doors. We had to crawl out the trunk to get in and out. I don't think there is any type of vehicle that could make parking here easily accessible. (We had a land rover)

Look no further!!!!! Great place to stay, with perfect location, in the heart of everything. Beautiful condo with amazing view. Fully stoc Check in and out was a seamless process.We had a few questions, answered in minutes.We will definitely return in December.So much to see and do in this area.

The fireplace outside only works for a few minutes. The place needs some deep cleaning and updating. It was misrepresented as a stand alone house. Especially when it was only the third floor.

House was great, just a little hard getting everything up and down to the 3rd floor.

This a beautiful property, great location and amazing view. The host was excellent. Highly recommend. Will comeback for sure.

Monica’s home is wonderful! We came for my son’s birthday and it was easy to get everywhere from here. From the airport, to Sea World to driving around, everything was so close! We walked to dinner every night as well. So many wonderful restaurants in either direction.She also has everything you need for the beach which was so helpful when you have young kids. We just walked right down there from the condo and found a spot to sit for the day. The condo has plenty of room for a family of 4 and friend who came with and had their own space.The outside patio was used everyday and was amazing! We will be back- Thank you so much Monica for having us and for being so kind!!

I can't say enough about how great our stay was!! We sat out daily on the patio and we saw dolphins in the morning. I was there for a work event so the large bath was delightful in the evenings. My kids enjoyed the beach during the day, got ice cream nearby and my son grilled for us one of the nights. The host was incredibly responsive and helped us figure out some activities we had questions about. The condo was clean and had everything we needed.

The condo was absolutely lovely - clean, and well stocked with kitchen amenities, towels, beach accessories and extra linens. It looks like the owners recently purchased a new grill so was able to take advantage of that throughout my stay. It was nice to open the windows and fall asleep to the ocean sounds. The host provided everything needed to feel comfortable and was very quick to respond to any questions. I see there have been some upgrades with a new fire place and new comforters. The host stocked us with a cold bottle of wine upon arrival which was nice after the long flight. Excellent location and only a 5-minute walk to Belmont Park but far enough from any noise that Belmont has. There is plenty of local cute shops and restaurant options also within walking distance. We only had one car but it does look like the space is large enough for two cars. We had a sedan and had no issues with the parking. We come here every year and we will be staying here again!

Host is great to communicate with. Place could use more detailed regular maintenance as several things were broken.

This place is very nice. If you have a larger vehicle you won’t be able to park at the property but you can park at Belmont Park overnight and it’s just a short walk away. If you have a smaller vehicle this is 5 stars

Please read the reviews before renting this space! Location is great and the house has SO much potential if it was better maintained. Ants crawling on the walls in kitchen/family room, terribly uncomfortable mattress in the master that makes you roll to the center, old bedding, mold looking build up on doorknobs, strands of long black hair (not ours) throughout the bathrooms, zero parking if you have anything bigger than a standard car….It was not all negative, but if you are picky about cleanliness this is not the spot for you.

If your looking for a great view and great location this is the place. But buyer beware. No Heat, Not very clean. Beds ect, ect ect.

Perfect place to celebrate my wife’s birthday with a few of our friends. It was absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed. The host even decorated for Christmas. Any questions I had were promptly answered.

Loved every minute at this property! Paradise

The condo is in a fantastic location. The condo was dirty. There were several burned out light bulbs. This was very inconvenient because some of them were over the staircase. There were no paper products except toilet paper. There was no control over temperature regulation because the thermostats were inoperable. There was no ice maker and no trays available. There were spiders in the back bathroom. It could have been a much better experience with some effort by the owners. Thank goodness for the excellent location.

Great having 3 bedrooms, each with a full bath. Located right on the beach, walking distance to restaurants and bars. Lots of surfers plus dolphins, birds, and people watching. The provided parking would work only for a sub-compact— street parking usually available within 2-3 blocks. Would have liked easy heat but did no try to contact owner for it.

We had a really lovely time. The location is awesome. Many shops, restaurants, bars, markets and coffee spots near the condo. The parking spot is tight, but we were prepared from other reviews and rented a compact car. Monica had great communication, and the condo had everything we needed. The beds and pillows were super comfy! We will be back!

Property was perfect choice for a weekend reunion with some old friends. Great location, right on the boardwalk, and amenities all around. I can highly recommend.

Amazing property with 3 master bedrooms with nice bathrooms. Has a half bath for guests. Beautiful oceanfront views. Deck off of kitchen and main master bedroom. Has plenty of room to sit and bbq enjoying the weather and views. Great customer service who responds quickly.

This property is wonderful. You can just hang out on the patio/deck for hours, and will not get bored of the view and people watching. Also nearby to Mission Bay, which is great for some mellow stand up paddleboarding, etc. I was concerned about possible heat issues going in (with no AC), but even in a historic heat wave (90 degrees in SD), the ocean breeze and fans kept it pretty comfy. Monica our host was also very responsive via text. Our one minor quibble, there was no shampoo/conditioner in bathrooms, so be sure to bring your own. A little heads up on that would be nice. Otherwise, a wonderful place to spend some time in SD!

We have been coming to SD for more than ten years go out girl trip. Monica was a great host and responded to Al of our questions and requests quickly. We lived on the porch when we weren’t at the beach! The only recommendation I have is to stay longer!

Overall, the location was beautiful. The condo was not very clean, dishwasher was filthy, mold/mildew all over the condo (door handles, door jams, anything metal), no a/c. They provided SMALL fans however, they were so filthy & some did not work. It was very warm in the unit. The “manager” (manager was owner & she lives downstairs) claimed housekeeping cleans these fans with every guest. Door handle in master was falling off. No light in bottom of stairs. Dangerous! I asked for 1-night’s refund to compensate for inconveniences. She accused me of blackmailing. There’s more but can’t list all. BEWARE.

Great location, our stay was relaxing after lugging our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. We definitely got a workout. Rental has an elevator but the access to elevator but the access to use it was locked. The master bedroom bed was extremely uncomfortable as the middle of the bed sunk in leaving you in an awkward position when sleeping and some of the fans didnt work (no AC) so its very recommended that you take fans when staying here. Also there's no storage for belongings as the master closet was locked and all other bedroom closets were filled with a bunch of miscellaneous stuff and had no hangers. Parking was also an issue we took a truck and utility vehicle so we had to find alternative parking away from our location. The parking available at the condo was too small to fit our vehicles Other than a few issues we had a wonderful relaxing stay.

The place had a light of some kind out in every room, as well as the master bedroom lock was broken. The main door to the property was broken as well. The parking suggests room for two vehicles, but they better be small economy vehicles to fit in the parking spot. Gate was beautiful for parking but it squeaked as you opened it to awaken everyone and the neighbors. Dog was always barking down stairs and the apartment smelled of marijuana that was coming from downstairs.

We had a great Stay. We spent countless hours on the patio. Highly recommend.
