Beautiful condo across the street from the beach. Pet/kids friendly

The location of this VRBO was great in proximity to Clearwater & St. Pete beaches, along with being directly across from the beach. The condo was small but adequate for what we needed. Immediately upon walking into the unit it was very musty and my husband smelled mold. I turned down the AC and we went to dinner and came back. When we returned, the AC didn’t move one degree. I believe that there is a problem with the AC based on a window AC unit (and dehumidifier in one, I’m guessing based on a hose and a bucket for water) also being in the unit (it’s a very small space so I don’t see the need for a central unit and window AC). I messaged the host and it was rather late so I don’t expect a response until the morning. He promptly responded in the morning and said he’d be by in the morning to check it out. I told him we were going to workout but at that time it had cooled to our desired temperature. He messaged back and said he had not made it to the unit yet & asked if the smell was still present and I said yes. Upon returning from working out, there was a bottle of odor spray on the mat outside of our door. No communication from the host regarding this or an update on the AC situation since that time (Sunday morning). We checked in Saturday evening and left Wednesday. I reached out to him twice regarding the random bottle of spray outside of the unit and the AC unit not consistently keeping the temperature we requested. I heard nothing from him the rest of the time.

We loved the location and the set-up of the condo. It was pretty clean and provided a well stocked kitchen and beach supplies. The beds were just ok and the pillows were absolutely terrible. The linens and pillows were very cheap and uncomfortable. Our biggest issue was accessing our condo. It has a keyless entry that gave us many issues. We ended up leaving the back door unlocked to ensure we could get in. (Not very safe, I know.) A huge tip if you rent this condo.... IT'S ON THE LEFT of Whispering Pines. We came in late at night. There was no lighting. Units on both sides of the street, directly across are 19211, have the same address with different street names. There was not street names listed. Since we could see the one on the left it made it difficult to figure out which was ours. There is also 2 mailboxes with 19211, one had the street name very small but again it was dark and we couldn't read it. This was very frustrating. Andy and Gregg were nice and responsive but the issues we were having persisted. It wasn't a terrible stay but we would not book again.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! It really is such a perfect location with so much in walking distance, the amenities provided were great to have, the owners were amazing, we could go on & on. We will definitely be staying here again!

Excellent cost effective way to visit the beach. Just a 4 minute walk, and you’re there. The host provides a beach hand wagon, umbrella, coolers, etc to make the walk very easy. Room was clean, communication excellent (host was there when we arrived and very friendly). Excellent restaurant a 3 minute walk away, the Salt Rock Grill.

Very nice

Upon arrival the whole place was like new, really clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, glasses, utensils. Gregg the property manager was on site each day and easy to talk to and very helpful. The place was super close to the beach across the street. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch sipping our drinks and watching the parrots fly over. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Kitchen and bathroom totally updated. Sofa sleeper and bed could use an update, but perfectly adequate for your stay.
