Beautiful Centrally Located Condo in Silverthorne w/ Easy Access to Ski Areas

The condo has a lot of nice features like 2 beds and 2 baths. There are many nice things about it. However, it was sooo hot. When we arrived it was 89 degrees in the condo. One fan was provided, however there are two bedrooms and a living room. By midnight with all windows open and the fan running, it had only cooled to 82. Both of my kids who are school age, woke up a mess in the middle of the night. I had to put wet, cold washcloths on them to get them back to sleep. My husband slept on the floor and I slept horizontally at the end of the bed to get some relief from the fan sitting between the two rooms. We felt heat radiating through the floor. Also, it was only a high of 79, so it was crazy hot comparatively. It felt like hot air was coming through the baseboard heating but the thermostat was set to off. If this can be fixed, we would give it 5 stars. But the heat was truly unbearable. Lastly, leaving all of the ground level windows open in bear country and at a strange place did not help with my overall comfort level.

3 Adults enjoyed our stay. Beds are super soft. Sectional Sofa was comfy. Nice Kitchen with all the appliances and dishes needed. Fireplace works but couldn’t use it much because the heat works really well. We tried to cut the heat back but could not get it to lower. Fortunately there were 3 fans in the closets that we used at night. Place was very clean. Plenty of Toilet paper and paper towels. Host was super responsive with our questions and checked on us. The club house at this unit was a short walk. We really enjoyed the Hot Tub, Pool and Sauna and the game room looked super fun but after skiing all day we did not play anything. We loved the short drives to Vail, Breck, Keystone and we loved the people at Wild Ernest Ski Rentals that is close by and the rates were great. Wee would love to come back.

Negatives: terrible wireless service that keeps cutting out after being hard to log-in. Door lock keypad did not work- had to call mgr who finally got us into physical key lock box. Had to use key every entry in very dark hallway. Hot water takes forever to flow in showers. TV system seems not to give access to any usual channels- who can tell with having 4 remotes and no clear instructions. Not enough lighting- too few lamps, too dim bulbs. Would like to be more positive, but it is what it is.

Parking registration was full, notified staff, they said I was taken care of, I wasn't. After a water main break we were without water pretty much the whole duration of our stay. One of the days when we were leaving to go use the bathroom off site due to water being off, my car was booted. I had to pay $140 for property managements negligence. Tvs do not work, not a huge problem and wifi information I obtained from the staff was spotty at best, no streaming. Have not been offered any sort of reconciliation.

Had to email to make sure I still had a reservation.* Online parking registration didnt work. Was advised that this happens - had to call in.* Door has 3 lock options and they don't specifiy which one. After 10 minutes we figured out that you had to pull the door in while you entered the code.Struggle to lock as well.* Daycare being run in this building. * Very sketchy people hanging out in parking lot. Leering at my 14 year old daughter. * Back porch photo is definitely altered. You look onto a parking lot. * TVs didnt work first day. They sent someone next day but only fixed bedroom and didnt update me. Living room TV never fixed and they lied that someone came - they said they fixed bedroom even though it had been fixed already.* Dust everywhere. Chip bag left in couch cubby. Soda can under table. Couch is ripped and shabby.* Main bed was horribly lumpy.* You had to pay for the pool table and air hockey table in photos.Many of these are no big deal, but add them all together and it made for a VERY disappointing stay. I am irritated that Marriot would list this. Thank God Vail and surrounding areas are beautiful.

Thermostat was set to 65 and the unit would not get below 78 without opening all windows. In the winter this is not ideal. The radiant heaters were always on. No discount or adjustment for our stay. There was an electrical issue in the living room that took two days to fix. The clubhouse was dirty and unusable for adults. The bathrooms were not clean when we arrived. Used soap in shower and hair on the shower walls. The furniture was torn and not functional. The furniture was electric reclining sofas and they were stuck out and would not retract. A very bad tripping hazard.

We enjoyed our time. Property was clean and location was great!
