We owned a timeshare on Hawaii for over 20 years and we purchased this condo in Waikoloa based on years of experience in 2010. Close to the finest beaches in Hawaii. Minutes from the best scuba diving in all the Hawaiian Islands. I am a diver and have spent time diving all the other islands. Kona has the best diving compared to the other islands.
We love Waikoloa Village because of the small town atmosphere and trade winds. All the tourists bake in the heat down on the beaches, which you can do if that is what you are after on your visit to Hawaii. Rule of thumb on Hawaii is the longer you live on the island the farther up the mountain you live to get the perfect temperature. This unit is not air conditioned. I would have to double my rate to provide air conditioning, Hawaii has the highest electric rates in the country.
Hawaii has everything any of the other islands have only better and larger.
Farmers markets. (Large tropical bouquets for $10.) Fresh fruits and vegetables in abundance in Kona and Hilo markets.
No other island has the active Volcano, which is a must do adventure.

Our condo is fully furnished. Save the cost of eating out so you can do some of the fun outings on the island. The unit has things you never think of to make your vacation the best ever. Cooler, beach chairs, boogie boards, and swim noodles are things you will pay extra for at a hotel.
We will also provide you with detailed local knowledge so your stay will be memorable. What beaches are worth the drive, where to see turtles every time, should you go to the green sand beach, where to buy gas are just some of the items that will save you time and money.

    Spacious, comfortable layout. Quiet neighborhood away from busy resorts but only 10-15 minutes from the beach and shops. Host was helpful, great at communicating, and provided a lot of good info about the island and things to do. Maybe the best part was that pretty much anything we needed for the beach was provided- snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, etc… it made our trip much more affordable and fun than having to rent, buy, or do without those extras. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

    This location is a great base for the Kohala beaches and other day trips around the island. The unit is a 2nd floor unit so you get a great breeze at night.

    I visit the Big Island ever year but this was my first stay in Waikola Village area. The cindo is a Convenient location with room for myself, husband and 2 adult children without making them share a bed or sleep on a couch. Temps were warmer than we are used to but plenty of fans and airflow so we slept great. If you're used to coffee every morning in house, buy some before your first night. Its a normal drip maker, filters were on site. Although we didn't need to use most of it, the chairs, towels, umbrella, coolers, snorkel gear and a boogie board were awesome to have available. Loads of information in their binders, as well as books on tropical fish, etc. We enjoyed staying here as our base of operations.

    This is a very nice place with a fantastic , bbq, pool and hot tub area. The place is comfortable and has everything you need. John has a great stock of snorkeling gear, water fun gear and everything you would need for the beach. He was very responsive and great to deal with.

    The property was great. Only issue I had was that it didn’t have AC, but it wasn’t listed as having it. Just didn’t know the difference for my first VRBO in Hawaii. Make sure to check pool and fitness times.

    I have been to the Big Island multiple times and stayed at various locations. This vacation rental was perhaps the best value and location of all my stays. Waikoloa Village is a great choice - close to Kohala beaches and a quick jaunt over the Saddle Road to the Hilo side. We visited the erupting volcano twice and the drive over was very smooth from the village. Great choice! Friendly complex manager and overall fantastic trip.

    Great location and property. The suite had every amenity anyone could need. The most amazing host who provided extensive information about the area and island activities. I would highly recommend this unit.
