Beachside Towers II 4210 - Sandestin Resort, Gulf Front, Heated Community Pool!

Shame on us for not reading the reviews. This place is not as pictured. We got a ground level unit due to having an infant and found out stairs are needed to get into the condo itself (rear and front)— making it near impossible to unpack a cart. Construction definitely affects this condo making it even more difficult to access. There are stains on the baseboards, curtains, and tub. Chipped paint. Overall smell of mold/mildew. Humid. The unit was supplied with two box fans probably due to the poor circulation the place seems to have. We looked at other bookings the first night because it was so bad but nothing was available. We have stayed at Beachside 2 three times now and have had great experiences but we will NOT be back to this condo, nor recommend it to anyone. Extremely disappointed in being deceived by the pictures and the money spent.

This room’s location is fantastic & so convenient. You walk out your patio & you’re on the pool deck. The new pool deck & pool are incredible. It is zero entry on one end & one side is about 7” deep with chairs in the water. Beautiful. But be aware the pool was freezing. The pool is not heated after Easter ever. The TV’s do not have any local cable or satellite setup. You must have your own service to get any channels whatsoever & download the apps to use it. The bathroom shower door on the shower was broken & there was a shower curtain instead. Get a bathmat because the shower is slick. There are no handicap grab bars & the drain does not drain good so there was always standing water in the tub so it is very slick. Your room is on the pool deck so bring clips to help keep the curtains closed where they meet. However, the room is very quiet & we never heard a thing. Be aware that this room is absolutely not handicap accessible. There are steps to get up to the hallway & to the front door & the patio has 3 steps to the pool deck with no railing. The wash machine & dryer are LG front load stackable & are very nice. In conclusion, this room is fantastic. The good far out ways the bad. Just be aware of some of the issues I faced & wish I had known. I loved the patio on the beautiful pool deck. They had new gas grills & is close to the beach which is incredible. There was some construction that was a little inconvenient but hopefully that will be done soon.

Construction all over. Workers walking around all over the building. Unit smelled very damp which made me concerned about mold. Pool was under construction. I left after 15 minutes and had to double pay to stay elsewhere.

A lot of construction going on but didn’t impact our stay. The condo itself was great and convenient to pool. Only complaint is all the different codes to get needed for each entry.

When I walked into the room the first time, it felt and smelled damp. The couches and the rug felt like they'd just been shampooed. The couches are stained from previous spills. I never sat down on them my entire stay. They just looked dirty. The paint on the wall in the bathroom is bubbling off of the wall. When I saw that I knew moisture is, or has been, an issue. I turned the A/C on low and ran the fan in the living area my whole stay, and after a while, the damp smell went away. The bedroom did not feel or smell damp, so I just hung out in there.The kitchen and bathroom walls needed to be wiped down. Using only my finger, I could wipe off some of the spots on the walls. The unit is obviously older, and except for the paint on the wall in the bathroom, it's perfectly fine! The kitchen is renovated, and it's nice. There is a Keurig type coffee maker and a regular one. The measuring spoons in the drawer had been previously used for coffee and were dirty. I didn't use them and put them in the dishwasher when I left. There was no spatula to cook eggs. I bought one and left it there for the next guest. The unit is directly onto the pool, so there's not much privacy during pool hours. It isn't open after dark, so noise isn't an issue at night. There is not a view of the beach from the room. The unit is on the bottom level, but there are a few unavoidable stairs. Beach access is very easy and very close. I went for the beach, so this was perfect for me!

The room was super clean and neat. The check-in process couldn’t have been easier. And the location was perfect! One small concern was that we found out the pool was going to be under renovation. Not sure if it was specified in the listing when we booked, but be sure to read very carefully before booking. Thankfully, it was done by the time we checked in. The main con regarding the room itself would be the bathroom; it was not as pictured. It’s pretty small and outdated.All in all, a great stay.
