Stayed Oct 16, 2022Great apartment photos don't do it justice. Plenty of space big bedrooms, balcony, and living room. New appliances if your staying in. Resort style but plenty of space to unwind, beach chairs already on the beach. Plenty of chairs around the biggest pool I've seen in a coastal condo. Would recommend lovely part of Florida owner made things very easy from booking to leaving only a call away. Saving for another trip.

Stayed Jul 9, 2021The red tide on the Gulf coast of Florida in the summer of 2021 is a real problem: foul smell from dead fish on the beach, people coughing and sneezing, and some having allergies. It rendered the beach unusable for most of our one-month stay. Florida’s environmental protection agency gets one star. Floridians need to choose whether they want to protect their beautiful State or let the unsustainable agriculture and fertilizers producers ruin the nature. Rising ocean temperatures of course make it worse. The red tides in 2018 and 2021 are just previews. Check the status of the red tide in Fl by googling it or at the Florida fish and wildlife conservation committee before booking. Of course, it’s unpredictable several months in advance, as it was in our case, when a massive waste spill from Piney Point to the Tampa Bay took place in April. On the bright side, the condo is amazing and is larger than it appears in the pictures. It’s very clean, comfortable, spacious, and well-maintained. The views from an oversized balcony (only on the top floor) are breath-taking: you can see both the Gulf on the right and the bay on the left. The condo complex is beautiful and meticulously maintained. It has a large swimming pool with a 25 meter lap lane and 3 tennis courts. Susan, the condo’s owner and manager was a pleasure to communicate with; she was very responsive and understanding. Thank you, Susan! Sarasota has many attractions for adults and kids; focusing on families they include Sarasota Jungle Gardens, Big Cat Habitat, Mote Aquarium, (world-class) Ringling Museum, and Selby Botanical Gardens—all within a 5-20 minute car ride from the condo. Uber XL works fine. Don’t forget amazon’s Whole Foods delivers for free from downtown. There are many restaurants at St. Armands circle (5 minute ride). We’ll surely want to come back again (when there is no red tide)!!

Stayed Sep 5, 2020The Beachplace in general is a very well maintained property. The condo we were staying at is nice, comfortable, clean and well equipped. You can tell that the owners care about the guests and want them to enjoy the stay. Got very good impression from the communication with the owners. Nice people. Glad we made this choice.

Stayed Jun 13, 2020The condo was so much better than expected from the pictures and steps from the ocean. My family and I were quarantining so unfortunately we did not get the opportunity to use any of the amenities but they all looked beautiful! Susan was an absolute pleasure to deal with and was always available no matter what we needed. she bent over backwards to make our stay as enjoyable and hassle free as possible. The view from the balcony is incredible. you have a 180 degree view of the ocean, bay, and fountain pond in the middle of the property. the condo is conveniently located right next to the pool, tennis courts, and beach access. The location is great as you are super close to St. armonds circle. The condo was fully stocked with everything you could need in terms of cookware, towels, etc. I cannot recommend this condo enough! Thank you for hosting us Susan!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I was fortunate enough to be invited by a friend to visit her during her stay at Beachplace the past two years in this condo. For me, it is a perfect beach vacation. There is easy access to all kinds of walks and bicycle rides if you wish. The sunrise over the bay is completely visible from the balcony where there is a table and chairs for outdoor breakfasts or meals and lounge chairs as well. The views are wonderful and peaceful. The condo is lovely and comfortable. It is plenty large enough with all the pots, pans, dishes, etc. in the kitchen. Being on the top floor, I had about a 220 degree view over the tree and roof tops to the bay and the city lights glimmering over the bay, over the beautiful golf course next door and over to the beach. The pool, spa, tennis court amenities are large and very well kept as are the grounds. On the beach, the umbrellas are opened and closed and lounge chairs are arranged and rearranged each morning and evening by the staff. Overall it is a very well kept, beautiful environment for a vacation with easy access to Sarasota and all it offers and Anna Maria Island and its wonderful seafood restaurants, etc. I look forward to my stay next year, too.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is my second year to spend six weeks in this paradisical setting. The apartment surpassed all my expectations: it is truly luxurious. I am still in awe, having watched every single sunrise from its earliest beginnings to the magic of the glowing orb cresting the horizon across the bay, from the balcony of the apartment: being on the sixth floor of the building with a 180 degree view is a gift. Who would have thought that 36 sunrises in a row could each be unique? Sarasota is a happening town! Its downtown is quaint, with abundant shopping and art galleries, opera, theater, ballet - you name it. Within a few miles of here, there are dozens of shopping opportunities at famous St. Armands circle, and yet here, on Longboat Key, there is peace and quiet, in the building as well as at the private beach. Some of my most joyful moments have been watching the birds at the beach during the sunset hour when they congregate at the edge of the water and look out to the horizon as if expecting a miracle, and watching thunderstorms approach from the city across the bay: actually, I spend hours just watching the ever changing cloud formations. I hope to come back here every year of my life!
