Stayed Jul 20, 2023I use VRBO a lot. I've NEVER had such a horrible experience! The owner was EXTREMELY rude & delayed her response to us, which seemed purposeful (I'll explain at the end). When we first checked in, there was a large roach in the kitchen my husband had to kill. It smelled like cat spray. The sofa sleeper is one that kept falling down, once onto my husband's toe while my teenager was sitting on it. The bunk beds in the hallway have a ladder that isn't reall usable because there's nothing to grab onto at the top and the rail is tiny, like 1/3 of the length of the mattress. My 10 y/o managed to pull herslef up but the mattresses are much smaller than a twin, so not a good fit for most kids. The kitchen was MINIMALLY stocked. Not even a bottle opener. The light switch in the bedroom wouldn't turn off without turning the fan off. I did not complain about one single thing. Then, as we're preparing to check out, the automatic locks lock the doors (while my husband is loading the van). Its 10:45, checkout is at 11. We unlock and continue loading up, and then the alarm starts blaring. I called her - no response for 16 minutes! I know with automated locks, she should have received a notification! When she called back, she said checkout was at 10 and I'm over 1 hour late to leave (it's still before 11). Her tone was rude! I took a pic of the reservation summary from VRBO's site, and she said she couldn't confirm that was her property in the photo and tried to charge me another night.

Stayed Sep 1, 2022The host was very nice and accommodating. The condo was an older unit and newly renovated, but didn't really look like pics online. It was smaller than it looked, but overall it was a nice stay.
