Beachfront Penthouse, Spectacular Views, Pool, Hot Tub, FREE Activities! ~ Sandcastle II PH #3

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The beach and view from the condo were fantastic, and we loved the area with plenty of nearby restaurants that never felt overly crowded. Having a dedicated parking space was also a big plus.The condo was well stocked with beach toys, umbrellas, chairs, and boogie boards. While there were quite a few broken chairs that could be cleaned out, we appreciated having beach gear available and left behind a couple of new chairs and a small cooler for future guests.The biggest drawback was the elevator. Being on the 10th floor with only one small working elevator meant long waits, and we often saw people ride it to the top just so they could ride back down. From other reviews and conversations with guests, this appears to be a longstanding issue.The condo itself could use a few updates. The bunk bed is very wobbly, the lower bunk mattress is very thin, and the living room couches are quite worn. The master bedroom only has sheer curtains on the sliding door, so there's little privacy from the shared balcony space or light blocking. The dryer door is difficult to open because of the bifold closet doors. Overall the condo could benefit from a thorough deep cleaning, especially the air vents and other overlooked areas.

The condo was nice and had plenty of space and everything we needed for the week. It even had a couple chairs and umbrellas in the closet. The only concern for future guests is the parking spot. It was a very tight fit, and difficult to maneuver a vehicle in. The parking spot is underneath the garage, at the end near a wall. If you drive a large vehicle, beware. We drive a Toyota Camry, and battled the space. Otherwise, it was very nice and the condos description was pretty accurate.

Perfect condo for our 2026 family beach vacation. The kids loved the pool being right next to the beach and the beautiful beach being steps away from your front door was the icing on the cake. Sitting on the balcony at night and watching the sunset was the perfect way to end the day. Condo was well equipped and we really couldn't have asked for anything more. Except the elevator service. One of the elevators was down so only had one running elevator for 10 floors of condo guests. Had to walk down a few times because of the delay in getting an elevator. A few times they had to shut the only running elevator down when they worked on it so had to wait around because we definitely could not lug 4 kids and our beach supplies up 10 flights of stairs. Other than that issue it was the absolute perfect spot for a beach vacation. Located close to restaurants within walking distance and a beautiful surrounding area. Loved it and will book again for sure.

The penthouse was great for our family of 5. It had a great view, pool and hot tub area were great and the beach area was great. Plenty of beach chairs, pool noodles, umbrellas and beach toys were there for us to enjoy.

Indian Shore was beautiful and the beaches were pristine. Property/condo was nice but dated. We were on the 10th floor and the views were spectacular. However, there was only one elevator operating and on a one occasion that elevator was not working. My husband has a heart condition, and the elevator was a concern.

View was as promised, kitchen was appropriately stocked. Only complaint is that the furniture had been moved around from where the pictures on the website showed and made the initial impression of the room very poor. After rearranging the furniture in the living area and on the porch as displayed on the website and adding some fresh flowers it became more enjoyable. Also, the mattress in the 3rd bedroom could use some improvement. We did call maintenance to have a grease spot removed from the ceiling above the microwave. Other than that we did enjoy our trip. The beach and pool / outdoor kitchen area is good. We did enjoy our stay.

The place was exactly what was described , clean, comfortable and with beautiful views of the sunset. Direct beach access was perfect. The unit was very quiet, couldn't hear any neighbors while inside. Definitely worth every penny!

We liked the location and overall space. Our main issue - linens and bedding. We were assured the sofa bed would have linens. It didn’t. And we discovered that the bunk room beds had no sheets - but didn’t have time to call because our grandkids never told us and they were with us 3 days. We were embarrassed. Why rely on tenants calling? Can’t your maintenance people notify the owner when they’re cleaning on Saturday? By the way, we sent an email to the owner about this. Crickets.

I wrote to iTrip regarding the very dirty condition of the condo. Food on cabinet doors, sand in dressers, filthy baseboards, dirty touch surfaces, sandy floors, crumbs all over, etc. We have stayed in Sandcastle I, II or III every year for over 10 years, this our first rental with VRBO iTrip. I called the rep the first night and sent pictures, I could have sent more, even the vacuum was missing any tools and the hose broken. It was a premium price for the unit. We rented for 4 weeks, so I cleaned in order to make it tolerable. The other retired professionals who stayed with us suggested not looking under the beds. The curtain in the master bedroom is shear, so anyone on the balcony had a free show as we came out of the bathroom. I know the units get hard use, and some guests are not respectful of property, but in all of our years this was bad. I don't expect perfection.

Everything was great overall, just a combination of little things kept me from giving a 5 star rating. Sone lights out, broken fixtures, stains in carpets/towels, beat up pots/pans, etc. The location was beautiful though and the view amd proximity to the beach was amazing!

The balcony and views were priceless, and the pool and hot tub came in even more useful than we had thought since we were there during a cold snap. Hot tub is actually a real hot tub and not just a warm pool. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make our Thanksgiving dinner. The only complaint/suggestion for change we had was that the rooms could use some blackout curtains because it’s hard for small kids/infants to sleep with just shears or blinds.

Everything was clear and expected. No unpleasant surprises. Enjoyed the condo. Great location in quieter area but still close to everything.

We just left the Penthouse 3 condo after a wonderful week. The location was beautiful and the place was very clean. We enjoyed our stay very much and had coffee on the balcony every morning to watch the dolphins. It had everything you would need for a great vacation week. One thing we wished for was a curtain or drape for the master bedroom as we like to sleep in a darker room but the bed was very comfortable. Also the couch could use a little cleaning but there was an extra sheet in the room with the bunk beds so we covered it. But it was just to appease our minds. Thanks so much for sharing your location and condo. We would love to come back.

Absolutely loved our stay. None of wanted to go home. Biggest thing for me is what a place smells like when you first open the door. This condo smelled freshly clean and new. Ps there is lots beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys in the closet out on the porch

The condo was exactly as described with everything you need for a relaxing stay at the beach. Communication was very timely with responses to questions. Highly recommend!

The room was very nice. Not quite set up for all adults. Probably meant for 2 families with children. Parking was a little tricky since we had 3 cars. We enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing and there was a huge firework display right on the beach for the 4th of July

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Everything was to our liking, however the sofa bed was not clean and there was candy all inside and therefore it was not utilized.

We had a party of 6 adults and this place fit us perfectly. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, cooking pots and pans and cutlery. There was plenty of towels and linens. The washer and dryer made it easy to keep up with all the swim suits and beach towels used each day. The view was spectacular! Was able to sit out there every morning and watch the dolphins and every evening to watch the sun go down. The beds and pillows were so comfortable, we slept great every night (I even looked to see what type of pillows they were so I can get them for my house). The parking was tight especially if you have a larger vehicle but it was manageable. The ONLY negative thing I experienced was the water pressure. It was not great but again, it was manageable. We wld absolutely stay here again!

The condo needs a lot of maintenance. Cabinets didn’t stay closed with the trash can could not open the dryer with out pushing the bifold door the water barely came out of all facets the bed with the bunk bed was so loose could not use the top one and the cooling in that room was bad barely came out. Would not stay at that condo unit

We had a wonderful stay at this unit. Our group consisted of two adults and four children (ages 4–11). Having stayed at several different condos over the years, we found the layout of this unit to be among the best for accommodating a larger group. The children especially loved the bunk beds, which added to the fun of the trip.The only minor drawback was that the sliding doors to the bunk room offered limited noise insulation, making it a bit challenging when the adults stayed up later than the kids.Each bedroom was equipped with a large television, although we hardly used them, as we spent most of our time at the beach and exploring the local area. The furniture and beds were all high-quality and sturdily built, and the recently renovated bathrooms were clean and modern.We also appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, which included plenty of cookware and solid cutlery—the best we’ve encountered in any rental (though the knives could use a bit of sharpening).Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay and will definitely keep this unit at the top of our list for future visits!

This is not what I expected for a penthouse. It is on the 10th floor, which is the top floor, but it does not have high-end features, spacious layouts, and expansive outdoor areas like terraces or decks. It does have a deck, but it is not different than any other apartments. The faucets just trickle water out because aerators are clogged, the hot water smells like sulfur, the shower heads are clogged water stream is low, the right front burner needs an infinite switch on the stove, the dryer door needs switched because you can't open the door unless you disconnect one side of the bifold door. Only one elevator is working so there are long wait times to go any.

The unit was fine, but there were issues with the property. There was only one working elevator and the pool was closed for two days. Other properties rented to people who had teens who where arrested for underaged drinking. It was not the owner's fault, but there were issues with the property and those who rented other units.

We enjoyed our stay, everything was clean and ready for us to walk in and enjoy!

Management company was very responsive to initial couple of matters. Outstanding balcony view of the Gulf with dolphin viewing most days. Excellent stay.

this unit needs to be updated. the floor was really dirty. the patio furniture was old and rusty in some places. the water pressure was horrible. beds were very comfortable. no kitchen towels or dish cloths. missing enough forks and spoons. I don't know, I think for the price it should have been more equipped. also, not told the pool and hot tub was not working for the first whole week. that ws really a bummer... oh well.

Great location. Condo was not very clean (post hurricane). The property manager promptly addressed it. Communication was great. Would stay here again.
