Beach Escape – Silver Sands Resort #246 by RVA

Relaxed and easygoing spot for a great beach vacation. Right on the gulf coast, everything you need. Nice pool right out the door. Comfortable space, good kitchen.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had sent an e-mail on 6/9 to Mindy Farro regarding Unit 246. 1. The bathroom was so outdated the tube finish was worn of and the drain and overflow was rusted. The condiment rack on the wall was rusted. 2.The water in the sink was nothing better than a trickle which made it hard to rinse out. 3. The ceiling fans blades in the living room and bedroom hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Dirt on was very visible. 4. The verticle blinds in the living room were broken. Had several slates that kept falling out and you had to manually close most as the gears were broken. Little privacy since many slates could not close completely. Some old slates were in the A/C closet and a couple next to the refrigerator. On June 10 Mindy contacted me and they were going to go over and check this out immediately. I even sent pictures of the issues. Never heard any more. We have booked another stay for 10/7 for unit 243 which we have used in the past. Never again for unit 246

Sand on the floor when we arrived. A few things could've been fixed. The sheets felt cheap and scratchy. Bed too hard. It was our 3rd time there and overall, we like it, but next time we'll probably look for someplace better even though it will cost more.

Staff was very nice. It was wonderful that our apartment was so close to the beach the only downfall would be that there were limited restaurants/shopping within walking distance from the resort- we chose not to rent a car and just get some R&R. We were able to walk to a couple restaurants. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves, and would come back!

The beach was great and made it all worthwhile. The pool was nice but we did not use it because of the weather. The dishes in the cabinets were not clean we had to wash them before using them. We figured out the soap door on the dishwasher was not opening so thats why dishes were not coming clean. T When we checked in we were warned that the bathtub was certainly clean even though it didn't look like it. And it was. It was clean but the finish was gone on it and everything was orange and rusty. Hinges and fixtures were rusty. All was liveable and not the end of the world but it didnt get that way over night so if I were the owner I would not have rented it out that way. Room was supposed to have a partial ocean view but not the case. Shrubs in front of porch blocked the view. Overall it was an ok stay. The beach was perfectly beautiful and there were plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas

Close to the beach and the pool was great for beach breaks. We plan to stay here again!
