Bayside Villa 4118 | Spacious Harbourview Residence | Sleeps 6 | Walk to the Beach

It was ok for just the two of us because we weren’t there much during the day, but there was no dining table and no carts for transporting luggage and belongings. But it was the best price we could find at the time, and I understand the situation in Captiva is difficult all around. If you don’t mind ‘kinda Spartan’ it’s fine.

Upon arrival the propperty we were pleased with the size, layout and cleanliness of the propperty however it soon became clear that the overall propperty was well below our expectations. The biggest issue is that the master shower never gets hot. It looks as though the handle doesn’t work properly and doesn’t allow enough hot water through. The guest bath does get hot but only if you adjust the handle to Cold. Secondarily the kitchen is woefully under-stocked. There isn’t even any salt or pepper. There are wine glasses but no corkscrew. There is a coffee maker but no filters, etc. Next, the locker room which contains the beach locker with all the chairs and umbrellas, doesn’t open (broken lock) with the provided code so we can’t access any of the beach chairs or cart. Also it looks as though the Pool is out of order and subsequently closed and not available for us to use as stated in the listing. Additionally, the patio door doesn’t open regardless of it being unlocked. I would recommend that you seek out a different unit if you are in the market for a rental on Captiva.

Perfect, well equipped, nicely furnished with a great location condo! Loved the enclosed balcony and the additional pull down Murphy bed was perfect for my Mom who we brought with us! Clean unit except for the floors. Floors were beautuful but really need cleaning.

Wonderful property. My family of 6 enjoyed our stay, though I would say it probably fits 4 better than 6. The pull outs were actually fairly comfortable. Short walk to the beach. We rented bikes which made it very convienient.

Comfortable and clean place. It is a nice location - though after a few days of walking along the busy road to the restaurants, we opted to get a golf cart which made life easier. On colder days the kids wouldn't want to go in the pool, but the hot tub was always crowded so we had to look for other entertainment. It is a shame that it is not part of the nice pool with slides across the road, so we paid to have access to them via South Seas.

Condo was clean, comfortable and in a great location. We walked to restaurants, beach and pool. Very relaxing!

We had a problem with our stay when we checked in due to issues beyond the property manager's control (water issues). The communication up to that point was great, property was clean, and check in was easy. The property manager was good about moving us and communication through the process was excellent. Thank you for accommodating us.

Wonderful property! Close to the pool and the beach. Well equipped, has everything you need for a perfect getaway. Owner was super helpful. Will definitely return!!

We spent a month enjoying this wonderful spot on Captiva Island. We loved the view of the bay with its greenery and the wildlife that lives there, the boats and the peaceful atmosphere 24/7. The pool was huge and the perfect temp for swimming.
