Bayfield- Charming Newly Remodeled Condo, Gateway to Apostles

The place was really amazing and very comfortable. The unfortunate part was that we had a winter storm and it took a while to get snow removed in order to be able to get out of the parking lot to make something of the day. A phone call to the owner and she got on the phone and got things on motion almost immediately and problem solved. Will be going back again someday, great place and awsome location.

We enjoyed our weekend at the property. It was really close to downtown Bayfield, and we loved walking down to the marina and looking at the boats. We will look to book again if we're ever in the area.

Close enough to town. It was nice to come back and not have to sit in just a hotel room. Unit was fine. Manager was nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the bed was very hard, pillows not much better. My husband said he slept ok I had a hard time getting comfortable. Slept a bit better the next 2 nights after buying some sleep aids.

Wonderful little hideaway. Very quiet, at least this time of year. Did not use some of the extras like the firepit area or amenities at the marina, but would highly recommend this little gem.

Climbing upstairs on snowy stairs was difficult. The tv was very small.

Beautiful views tucked away just outside the neighboring town which made it perfect!

We were especially happy to find a pet friendly property. Being able to bring our fur baby on all the area adventures made a fun trip that much more enjoyable. Thank you!

Simple, easy getaway

Great condo with all the amenities we needed. Great for a getaway to the Bayfield area. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Clean and the check in process

I never had a chance to see or meet the host, and they didn't check in with us at all once we'd arrived. It snowed the day we arrived, and the barest amount of clearing was done on walkways and stairs. No one ever went out to clean off the property sign, which seemed a little negligent since it was entirely covered with snow and unreadable. The directions to the space were okay, but they would have been much more difficult if we would have arrived in the dark, because once you got off the main road, the drive branched and we had to go back (made more difficult in the snow). Both our toaster and microwave were broken in the unit, which made doing our own cooking more difficult, which was a BIG issue because we were staying over New Year's, which means most things were closed and our only real option was making do once we made the discovery that two essential kitchen appliances didn't work. It was a perfectly acceptable space overall with plenty of linens and such, and it was clean overall, but for a remodeled space, the furniture was relatively dated and the decor was rather cheap and generic feeling. Ultimately, it's not the type of place that I'd go out of my way to return to.

The balcony view was very peaceful and the kitchen had everything we needed to make small meals.

We loved this little condo! Very private, but close to Bayfield and the activities that we wanted to do! The weather was absolutely beautiful and we loved everything we were able to do! Very clean, everything was provided for us! We will definitely love to stay here again!!

Overall, a nice clean and comfortable stay.In the wood, but not far from the main road.Kitchen utensils were a bit beat up (scratched teflon paper and, and lots of plastic).

We booked at the last minute due to wanting to avoid camping in bad weather. Host contacted us quickly and condo was clean and ready for us. It was a great location for exploring the Bayfield area and had everything we needed.

It was a last minute booking. And for the price I was expecting a little more upgrades . Air conditioner would run for awhile and quit during the night. Shower could use a little work. But over all it was fine.

Clean but very outdated and run down.

We chose this property for our stay due to location, and the amenities fitting our needs for a short, few day stay in the area. The communication with the owners was great: instructions were clear, information was timely and accurate. The property matched the photos, so no surprises there. We were pleased with the location, parking availability near the unit and the noise level. The property is quiet and feels very private and secluded despite being near amenities such as the pool and other units. However, we found a few things about the property to lessen our enthusiasm about the stay. We understood the unit to be pet friendly but there was a very pungent pet smell upon entering. The unit smells very heavily of pet dander and made the place feel like the air was very stale. The second issue we faced was it was HOT. Check in was at 4pm, which was fine, but after a day of travel and activities, we were ready to settle in for the night. We opened the door and it was hotter in the room than it was outside. We turned the AC on, to discover there is just one air conditioning unit in the living room. The bedroom was outrageously hot, and we were unable to sleep in the bedroom. The third issue was the drains: both the drain in the bathroom sink and the shower were quite backed up- after having the shower on for just one minute, the water level was getting close to the level of the shower door. This not only made for an unclean feeling, the soap backup made the shower scary

Me and two of my girlfriends stayed from Friday to Sunday. Couldn't be happier with staying here. The place was clean and cozy. Had options to have a fire or visit the brewery down the road. Short walk to the marina. Short drive into town to hop on the ferry and visit Madeline Island or visit the shops in town. Highly recommend.

This was our fifth summer in a row staying at an Island Time Vacation Rental at this location. We keep coming back because everything always is easy and smooth and we love bringing our small dog to the area. After spending the day adventuring, we come back to a clean condo and walk to the Portside Bar & Restaurant at the marina where we sit outside for a beautiful lakeside view with dinner. This year at the end of our first day, we couldn't get the tv to work. I messaged owners Kim & Mark about it and they responded immediately. We couldn't get it working that night so we sat on the balcony and played one of the fun games in the unit. The next morning (which was the Fourth of July), Mark brought over and hooked up a brand new tv with a smile - such a nice thing to do on his holiday. We will be coming back again next summer!

This was a great quiet spot for a one night stay in Bayfield. Very peaceful and close to everything. Hosts were very responsive. Place was clean and had a nice deck out back.

Nice condo. Clean. Well appointed. Convenient to Bayfield. Photos of marina and pool misleading, as they are not by the unit. A sign is needed by the trail - we looked for it and didn’t find it until someone mowed, right before we left. Overall nice, quiet area.

The Vrbo was a perfect long weekend stay with our dog.

We wanted to try a new area and thought this would be a perfect location. It was great and although we woke up to a snowstorm, the property was being maintained so we could exit safely. Beautiful balcony and scenery and perfect for a weekend getaway.

Overall good!! Had to unplug the glade while I was there. Gave me a headache..but that was easy.Well equipped, clean, nice surroundings, close to all the things I love about bayfield and surrounding areas..might consider a summer stay for a concert at big top….thanks for a great stay..

Property is as described. Clean,dog friendly, central to Washburn and Bayfield. Full fridge and oven for those that like to cook. This was a winter stay and with the snow it was magical. Thank you.

We stayed 2 nights. Very off seasons, not much going on. Bery nice clean place. Didnt realize we had to climb stairs as my husband had had foot surgery but we made it work. which was

I came with my daughter and her dog to attend Bayfield Applefest. Place was very nice And is walking distance to the marina which has an excellent restaurant.

We felt very safe at this place the only thing we would've chnaged is the curtains in the bedroom because they were just the sheer ones we wouldve had blackout ones or at least ones to where you couldnt see into the master room. Other then that what a great pic for our first time to Bayfield l.

This is a great property close to the lake and marina. The marina had a great place to dine as well with a view of the marina and lake. Nice and clean property with a cozy cabin feel.

The condo was quiet, comfortable, and clean. Very convenient location for Big Top concert-goers. Hosts were friendly and responsive.

We really enjoyed our recent stay on this property. It was well appointed, and a perfect base for all of our activities related to our daughters wedding on Madeline island. It has a great green space for our little dog. We enjoyed walking to the Portside restaurant.

Quiet, Nice clean place to stay short drive to downtown Bayfield.

The apartment was just right for the two nights we stayed there. We happened to have tickets Saturday evening for the Big Top and it was so nice to be able to walk to the marina and catch a free shuttle - so the location was great. We had hoped for a view of the lake and thought that was what we were getting, but overall it was good. The sink in the bathroom did not drain well, just a fyi.

The property was perfect for 2 people. Loved having access to the Marina pool, and the 5 minute drive to Big Top Chatauqua for a concert! We will definitely come again for a getaway to the south shore of Lake Superior.
