Bay-view condo with pool, hot tub, balcony & lofted layout - walk to the beach

Beautiful view

Painted countertops made everything stick and definitely NOT heat safe. Charging me a $175 cleaning fee and expecting me to strip beds, wash towels and run dishwasher is beyond the pale…

Nice unit, close to beach, good view, grocer in walking distance, basic amenities, but cable TV did not work (so basic channels like ABC, NBC, ESPN, PBS, etc., World Series, were not available), some streaming channels (like Disney ) were locked out by previous occupants; microwave did not work properly, dish washer did not work; light in first floor bedroom went off intermittently.

Loved the location and the space, view and amenities. All towels and mattresses need to be replaced

Even though it snowed six to eight inches the day after we got here, we felt safe and cozy. We were able to get the snow off the car and drive to the local market to get dinner and breakfast. The view was awesome, and it was nice that someone left a baggie of snow melt at the door.

The view from the property windows/deck is amazing. It size of the space was great but the beds were too soft. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance. We had a great time.

I am kind of upset about the hot tub situation. The key that was left by the host didn't work in any door I tried. There were no clear instructions in the binder (for anything, really. It is outdated), and with as much of a walk as it is, I don't think I would use it as a selling point. The view is perfect, parking is easy, and the place is fairly clean. But...the hot tub was the advertised draw for me, as I drove over 6 hours to get here, and the promise of a hot tub soak at the end of it...to then not get that, kinda sucks.

This condo is in a great spot and easy walking to the restaurants, although very limited choices. It’s across the street from the bay and has a beautiful view from the deck. It was outfitted nicely with new furniture and the upstairs bed was quite comfortable and new. The only drawback was it had one shower downstairs and if staying with another couple it might not suit everyone.

The property was nicely renovated and had a wonderful view.

The unit needs a thorough cleaning. All the countertops were sticky. It was hard to get coasters off of them.

We loved the beautiful view, beachy theme, lovely grounds, comfy beds and pool/clubhouse. As others stated the afternoon sun can be very intense and a shade over the upper windows would help with both the glare and heat radiating through the glass. Additionally, we also found the sofa to be not very supportive or comfortable. A couple of small changes would really elevate the experience, make the condo feel more like home and may influence visitors to return.

There is no air conditioning in the unit. They left me without a found. In fact the fan was broken on the hottest day of the year. I was very disappointed that they did not replace it immediately. They said they had a local team. They did nothing that really upset me I asked for a refund and they ignored me. I asked for a partial refund. They ignored me. I asked for a credit or someone to talk to me and they ignored me

Well the view was worth it I suppose. Disappointed about the cleanliness of the condo. Wish I had taken pictures. We actually found a pair of ladies used underwear shoved into a cupboard. Base boards I felt needed to be cleaner and there was dust on things. The interior of the condo was comfortable, if you like painted countertops then you will love it. I stay in vacation rentals all time and for the price you pay, you would expect a little better quality.

My dad lives just down the beach a I spent most of my time there and didn’t take advantage of all the amenities but the room was clean, quiet and the beds had nice comfortable mattresses

I think we had the best view of anyplace else

Very nice condo, nicely decorated, nice area, enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Cheap and uncomfortable couch, but other than that there were a lot of things. Tried to contact the owner and never got a response.

Great location and view of the bay. Decor was very relaxing and home had everything we needed. Enjoyed our time walking and enjoying Birch Bay.

We are in our early seventies and we were looking for a simple vacation at the Beach. And this was our experience. Condo very well equipped, unobstructed view of the ocean, peaceful location. Visited Drayton Harbor and Point Whitehorn Marine Reserve, with an easy trail down to the beach, overlooking the San Juan Islands. Close to grocery stories in Blaine. Would stay again!

This place was dirty. Carpeting is so stained its almost a different color. Bedding was worse! Stains on sheets, bedspreads, pillows. So bad we went to Costco and ourchased sherts , pillows, and towels. Wife got disenfectant and spent two hours cleaning bathrooms and kitchen. Called VACASA and they couldn't do anything until the next day and offered a refund on the cleaning deposit.This could be a wonderful place given its location, but its more like a cheap hotel room o the ontetstate than a resort. Not sure why no one else mentions this. Have multiple pictures, but no way to upload them.

Nice place ,pretty clean ,would stay again if the sharp screws under the bed were fixed . 1 min walk to the beach is great with my little ones.

Loved the decor and the wonderful view of the bay. King size bed was very comfortable and the fire table on the deck was nice in the evening.
