A Relaxing Retreat In The Heart Of Carlsbad Village!

This property is all about the location. Three minute walk to the beach, to fun shops, to good food. The complex in which the property is located is clean and sweet and quiet. The neighbors are quiet and helpful. Faye, the owner, is super responsive. It was very hot the day I moved in and I am very negatively affected by heat. I pulled up all the blinds and opened all the windows in order to get some cool air moving and then I couldn't close the blinds in the bedroom. They were old and a little dusty. She offered to replace them during my stay but once i got help getting them down, I told her she could wait until I left. I stayed for a month and I was there to practice living in Carlsbad. I am 72 and do a lot of reading and knitting. A lot of sitting, in other words. The furniture is not the best for my lifestyle. It is a perfect property if you are planning to be on the go a lot and mainly using the space as a landing spot. Also, and I indicated this to Faye, the mattress on the pull out sofa cannot be slept on. The sofa can be slept on if you are young and sleep easily. Bottom line: this is a TERRIFIC property for one or two people to visit Carlsbad as a tourist...not quite as comfortable if you plan to spend a lot of time in the property. And Faye is wonderful. It was a fun area. Good access to the community. Close to our son and family. Traffic in San Diego is a little daunting but we got used to it. Loved the rental. Very homey. You are good hosts.

It was right in downtown Carlsbad and we walked everywhere to restaurants, farmers market and the beach. That’s what we wanted. It was a little noisy at night but that is expected if you stay in downtown.

Love , love , love! It was a slice of paradise, perfect location, easy to get around, easy check in and out, very responsive and accommodating! We will for sure be coming back to stay!

Tutu’s place was clean, comfortable and very homey. It was close to downtown and to the beach. I enjoyed all the amenities that were offered. I will definitely be back.

Great location in Carlsbad village. Other than a grocery store, everything you need is within walking distance. Rental could use a few upgrades in terms of furniture, small appliances, TV, etc., but otherwise everything was fine. No A/C in the unit, but in fairness, was not listed as an amenity which I missed.

I loved walking to the beach, to restaurants, to yoga, to shopping, and the train. And I loved coming home to a safe, cozy spot each evening.

We had a great holiday here. The flat was exactly as described and had everything we needed. The location was excellent, we could walk everywhere and Faye was very friendly and easy to work with. We can only recommend this spot and plan to be back again next year!

I rented this place because I wanted to be in the heart of Carlsbad Village. The location was absolutely perfect. We could walk to everything. So, as far as location, this place is perfect. The owner did an excellent job communicating with me over a glitch with the portable air conditioning unit. Which we got resolved.
