    The condo had a very nice layout, clean, and the showers were good. The issue was the upkeep. Many of the light switches didnt connect to anything and there were a few lightbulbs missing or burnt out. The main door lock wasnt working but maintaince did arrive quickly to fix it. We've stayed at other Vacasa condos, at Sea Colony, but we wont return to this specific one.

    If a great view is all you need, and functionality and cleanliness are not your priority than you will be happy here! If you are like my family and those things matter – this is not the place for you. We have rented many beach homes in our lives, but this is one for the books, friends. We expect a certain degree of deterioration being at the beach i.e. sand on the floor, worn furniture and the salt air accelerates rust and aging. No problem. What we did not expect were dirty sheets on all the beds, dirty counter tops, a closet door that fell on my child within 10 minutes of us arriving, and almost half of the light bulbs burned out. What was interesting to me, is that VACASA does not allow for early check in because, not only do they have a “cleaning crew” that comes, but an “inspector” as well, before the property can be accessed. And they didn’t MISS the unit, because when we walked in someone had sprayed some sort of cleaning scent around and put tape on the toilets… So imagine my surprise when not just all of the previous things I mentioned were found, but also blood trails all over the kitchen and living room floor (which is tile), but also the culprit, which happened to be a bloody pair of underwear left in the master shower. Which, somehow BOTH the “cleaning crew” and “inspector” missed… You would think that this would be enough to get you moved to a new unit, but alas it was not. They did, however, send someone to reclean. In addition, the 3rd bedroom is actually just a closet with a window, all the utensils and dishware were pretty gross, so we ate out for all meals, and the disposal had a foul smell coming from it. They had great water pressure though. TLDR – Bloody underwear in the shower with trails of blood all around the living room and kitchen floor, closet door fell on kid, sheets were dirty and not changed. Great view, good water pressure.

    Our family had a wonderful week at the beach. Everyone enjoyed perfect views from the balcony, it was very conveniently located near the beach. We are definitely looking forward to be back next year.

    Island House #803 was ideal for our family’s vacation. The ocean view was wonderful! The Sea Colony pools and many facilities added greatly to our experience. Looking forward to another vacation there next year.
