Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Friday when we checked in as soon as you walk through the door, you could tell the air conditioner it was not working. Called Commodores front desk and the property manager came up to the unit. The AC unit was set for 73° and the temperature never got below 75 and it never stopped running. The property manager set the temperature to 64° and told us again this is normal because it is so hot outside, and if we have any problems call the front desk.Another hour past air conditioner never stopped running and the temperature never got below a warm muggy 75°. At 4:47 I called the front desk again and there was no answer. it took several phone calls to finally get a hold of someone. Was told again that this is normal. At this time, I asked for a full refund and I was checking out going back home. being afraid of losing the revenue She said we could go to a different unit until the air conditioner got looked at. so at 7 o’clock we had to move all our luggage to a different unit. At 9:13 she texted me not even called ,texted me and said the AC is fixed. now we had to move everything back to the original unit. Our first day here was totally wasted, waiting on results from the air conditioner.Never got a phone call, apologizing for the inconvenienceNever got a phone call saying you were right the air conditioner was not working right.Our reservations go till Monday, but we’re checking out early on Sunday We have been coming here well over 15 years.This will be our last stay here!

I've stayed many times at the Commodore. I've always had good experience. The room was as advertised and everything was fine overall. Not rated as a 4-star for the following reasons. 1. the room code didn't work, so we had to coordinate with security to get that updated. 2. The room smelled like someone had been smoking weed in there. 3. There was a dehumidifier running that had leaked all over the floor. 1 & 3 were handled promptly by Dean (security). 2. still lingered but was getting better as we left. We will stay at the commodore at some point in the future as we have for the last 30 years.
